Alana knew the game she was playing. Rainer might beat her when it came to size, strength and speed but she had wits and was rather cunning. She was better at strategy and plans than he was. It was why she was sent on missions to kill people in a subtle way. She looked away when he walked in, knowing to get him close it would have to look real and Alana hated being weak in front of Rainer. He came close and she heard the concern in his voice. Bingo.
She pounced, faster than she usually traveled and with enough force to push the unsuspecting Rainer over. She knew she was going to get in trouble and that only made it more fun. She straddled him, rubbing her hips against his as her hands lent against his chest and she smirked down at him. She knew that he would probably react very soon, her hips against his wouldn't last for long. She lent down and breathed across his face.
"That day might be sooner that you think Rainer." She whispered.

Rainer should have known that Alana was faking it, she had done it many a times before to trump him. She was smaller and agile and that gave her a advantage of surprise over Rainer who had fallen into her trap as per usual. He really should have learnt his lesson by now, she was always tricking Rainer by faking hurt because she knew he'd always come to her aid.
As he laid with his back against the forest floor he ran his fingers through his fringe pushing the long strands back from his face as he looked up at Alana who was currently perched on his hips. He just shook his head with a smirk at her actions, rolling his eyes a little. He'd let her have this win for now, he knew if he didn't she'd be bitching about it for the rest of the day.
"Yes yes Al, whatever you say girl," Rainer said with a chuckle, just content to lay there, he wasn't going to let Alana best him, he wasn't going to react to her actions.

Alana frowned when Rainer didn't react and stopped moving. cocking her head as he chuckled and let her get away with it. Was he dying? He never let her get away with it. Of course there had to be a catch. He wouldn't let her win completely. He would never do such a thing. She looked down at him with narrow eyes before giving up. She stayed sitting on him, liking being above him for once. It wasn't often you had the Alpha beneath you. Unless you were in a tree but that didn't count.
"I will beat you one day and then you'll be sorry." She said with a grin before she dug her finger nails into his chest slightly. Sometimes she felt like she should be a cat rather than a wolf. "You know you mean a lot to me right Rainer?" She asked.
She knew the question was out of the blue and slightly stupid for her to ask after the conversation they had just had. She wanted him to know though. She never really said anything like that to him. She was always there and such but she never told him that he meant a lot to her. He did. He meant everything. She waited for an answer when she heard a twig snap. Her whole body tensed and her head snapped in the direction. She focused on the footsteps and realised someone was sneaking towards them. The wind was in the wrong direction.
Before she could move a spell came flashing into the area they were in and missed her my centimeters.

Rainer could see that Alana was shocked that he had given up and let her continue to hold her position above him, and he really didn't care too much that she was. It was for one, more comfortable for him to lay there and it had the added bonus of having Alana sitting on him which he rather enjoyed. Sure, had they continued to play he'd have pushed her off and pinned her down but they weren't anymore, it was just Rainer letting Alana do what she liked. Besides, now that she had become his partner and the mother to the pack she was going to have to put up with his dominance all the time, might as well let her take this little bit of time.
"Mhm..." Rainer said in reply as Alana continued on about her beating him one day, but he knew that she as well as he were aware that it would never happen. Unless another wolf was stronger than him and defeated him in a challenge for the alpha Rainer would always be the strongest both physically and mentally. His aura itself which he liked to omit was usually laced with killing intent and a thirst for blood, he'd have muggles piss their pants if he just smirked at them.
"I've known that Als for a while, otherwise you would have left me a long time ago," Rainer replied back simply. It was then though that the sound of muted footsteps as his ears picked up the sound. A snap of a twig alerted the wolf to the presence of others. He couldn't smell anything though as the wind was blowing the scent away, making Rainer unable to sniff out what type of person they were, wolf or wizard or even just a muggle.
Soon though he got his answer as a spell was shot from the trees, missing Alana barely as he pushed her off and held her down low to the ground forcefully by placing a hand on her back. "Don't move from here...not one inch." Rainer growled out low before he sprang forward, dodging trees at lighting speed as he relied on his ears alone to pick up on the breathing of the person. Seeing a male, obviously a wizard now Rainer dodged the spells shot at him, a cutting spell hitting his side as the skin split and blood began to poor down. Rainer didn't let that hinder him though as he tackled the man, grabbing the man's wand arm with enough force to break the bone, smirking as the man cried out in pain and dropped his wand to the ground, immobilizing him as weaponless.
He could see that the man was an auror, probably trying to gather information about him and his recent movements within the magical and muggle world. Rainer merely smirked down at the man, exposing his canines as he set about to breaking every bone in the man's body so he could crawl his way back to the ministry to report. Once he had finished he smashed the guys' head against the tree trunk, letting the now unconscious body slump to the ground, leaving a trail of red against the bark. Looking down at his own wound Rainer felt it with his fingers, sighing as he felt just how deep it was. Still shirtless from before Rainer had to resort to ripping off one leg of his pants, wrapping the material around his abdomen as he began to walk back to where he had left Alana.

In seconds Alana was on the ground and Rainer was pushing her there, commanding her not to move. She growled at him quietly but he was already gone. She stayed there until she smelt a new scent. If she could smell it then it meant they had changed position and were where the wind was blowing from. She jumped up, knowing Rainer was busy and if she didn't she might get hurt. She turned to see an Auror. She lunged forward faster than he would of been able to but he did something, a spell which stopped her.
She growled and went to lunge again but he cast another spell. She growled as she heard the cries of pain and that only made this auror angry. She realised that she wasn't going to win this. He was alreadya step ahead and with magic she couldn't win. She was about to apparate when he grabbed her. She hadn't seen it coming and she knew if she survived this she would get shit. She felt the tip of his wand press against her temple and she froze. He could kill her.. She knew however if Rainer saved her they would have to kill him, no-one from the ministry knew her face and now he had seen it.
She saw Rainer come back, blood dripping from his side but her eyes were wide with fear. She had just got Rainer and now she was going to die. The auror knew he was in a position of power. She could tell by the way he spoke. "My my, it seems I've found your plaything Rainer Greyback. Such a pretty little thing she is too. Oh the things I'll do to her." He spoke and she knew by his tone that they weren't nice. She growled, angry at his words but his wand only pressed harder against her skull.
"Now I think it's time we went for a little walk to the ministry don't you." The guy spoke, his tone overly patronizing as he regarded Rainer. He didn't even care about Alana in his arms.

Rainer walked back to where he knew Alana would be, well he hoped she would be where he had left her and had not tried to follow him but from the lack of seeing her on the return journey she must still be where he had left her. He knew that the auror would be up and about in a couple of hours and by then Rainer and Alana would have returned to the caves and the aurors would never find them through the wards which Greback had placed on their home years ago. It was to not only keep them safe, but to keep their homes hidden from any muggles who might accidentally stumble upon their abode.
As he came back to where they had been attacked first he was met with the sight of another aurors holding a wand to Alana's temple. Letting out a low growl Rainer showed his teeth in anger as the man spoke. How dare that filth speak to him with such authority, Rainer was the alpha here, not some little wizard with a wand. Standing to his full height of 6'8, Rainer shoved back his shoulders as he towered over the man. Not moving forward however, Rainer didn't do anything which might make the wizard harm Alana, which was something which the wolf didn't want to happen.
"You dare think you can order me about you piece of filth, dare to talk to me, Rainer Greyback like that, I ought to rip out your tongue," Rainer said darkly, the sneer on his face obviously patronizing as he looked at the little man who seemed to have a large ego, he wondered whether it was Napoleon Syndrome. Rainer didn't waste any time though as the man seemed to splutter at how Rainer spoke to him and Rainer shot forward, his hand grabbing the man's wand as he snapped the wood like a toothpick, his other hand coming to the mans' neck as he squeezed. Using his other arm he pulled Alana from the man's grip, lifting the little wizard into the air to let his legs kick and jerk as the life was squeezed from him.
"Think you can threaten not only me but my mate and get away with it? I don't fucking think so you son of a bitch," Rainer growled out low, squeezing tighter and tighter till the man was turning blue.

Alana was getting angrier by the second as she stood their. She was alert to his every move as she waited for a gap where she could strike or at least be free. Rainer however seemed to have had enough and spoke. The man who had thought was in command realised he wasn't and stuttered. In that moment she would of attacked but she saw Rainer coming and she knew if she moved she would only get in his way. She felt him pull her from the man's grasp.
She shot forward before spinning to glare at the man as Rainer held him off the ground. She registered his words and for a second felt her stomach to a twist at him being protective over her before her anger returned. She shot forward before Rainer could kill him and with lightening fast movements tore a hole in the man's stomach. She grinned as she heard his screams. He deserved it the mother fucker. She stepped back as he died and spat on his body before looking down at her blood covered self.
She didn't want to meet Rainer's. She was ashamed. She had let herself get caught. She had been held by an auror. Of course she could still work as a spy since he was dead now but still. She had let a wizard best her just when she was meant to be his mate. What kind of show was that? She growled to herself, still really angry before punching a tree. She hissed in pain as she realised she'd done that not too long before and would once again need to get it healed. There was little blood this time and she didn't think she'd broke anything.

Rainer wasn't surprised when Alana gutted the man he was currently strangling, the poor auror bled to death in a matter of seconds, his intestines and spleen plopping out onto the ground, coating the leaves in a fresh shade of crimson. The man's screams still echoed off the far mountains, the sound having scared off all the wildlife within a two kilometer distance. He let Alana get back at the man for what he did and he approved of her actions, had it been him he would have let the man suffer a little more but still, the final result was the same and that was a lifeless body.
Dropping the man as the body landing in a crumpled heap on the ground Rainer turned, turning Alana's face from one side to the other, tilting her chin up to check her neck before turning her around fully, checking for any wounds. He nodded to himself when he saw nothing though, although he just raised a brow as his mate proceeded to punch the closest tree. Shaking his head silently he just picked up her injured hand once more, licking at the open wounds on her knuckles.
"That was stupid of you to do you know, punch the tree I mean," Rainer said simply as he looked up from her hand, his tongue still licking away the droplets of blood which oozed from the cuts.

Alana didn't meet Rainer's eyes the entire time he looked her over. She was scowling and she would rather he didn't check her over though definitely did not ask him to stop. he would want to make sure she was alright and fighting it would only make him think she was injured and didn't want him to know or something stupid like that. It felt nice to know he cared that much though he always had. It was almost ironic that just after he made sure she wasn't injured she went and injured herself.
When he took her hand and spoke she scowled again. She was still angry and she wanted to burn off the anger. She looked at him when he started licking her wounds. Surprised and not surprised at the same time. It was a normal thing for him to do yet she hadn't been expecting it. She was slightly surprised he wasn't giving her shit. She had almost been captured or killed and he wasn't bragging about he saved her life or anything. She knew she had to speak some time so she let him continue to clean her bruised knuckles.
"They were close this time. I know you've got wards up but what if they find us. What if they find someone who isn't as strong as you and end up getting them to give over information?" She asked, thinking of the safety of her pack. She looked at him, wondering if they were in danger. If a war was about to break out then she didn't want her pack killed. She looked over at the body and glared at it, finally speaking of her anger. "I can't believe I let him get me." She spat, disgusted in herself. She pulled her hand from Rainer's and turned away.

Rainer was always like this when it came to people attacking his pack, his family. He always made sure they were safe, he would personally see that himself with his own eyes if he could in the situation and with Alana, seeing that she was wound-free let the beast inside settle a little, still twitching from the anger which it had just been feeling towards the now deceased auror.
Alana seemed surprised by his actions but she seemed to accept it, it was only a natural reaction for him to clean the wounds. He grew up like this, all his wounds as a child he had to treat himself as Greyback had ordered the other pack members to refuse him aid as he needed to learn to bare with pain. So, Rainer had learnt to clean and wrap his own injuries and he still always tended to himself, he didn't like other people touching him, especially when it dealt with wounds.
Rainer wasn't going to start lecturing her, he knew that she wasn't at fault, rather it had been his being unaware that there had been two aurors there rather than the one which he had taken care of. He should have sensed the presence of the other man, he had let Alana get caught like that and that made the alpha within him rear up in protectiveness of his pack.
"They were...once we get back I'll set up some perimeters for the pack, we'll need to set up a hunting roster for groups, no one will be allowed out alone incase the aurors come back to try and track us. Everyone will need to be on high alert..." Rainer said, already thinking in leader mode for what would be best for his pack. He had to think about the best way to protect them from the magical world, and he'd need to put in place rules to enforce it.
Rainer just sighed and ran his fingers through his hair as Alana pulled her hand away from him and turned away. "You're not at fault...I should have sensed the other mother fucker was there in the first place...darn it," Rainer said with a low growl, clenching his fist in anger. He hissed out low as he felt pain in his side as his hand went to the material. Pulling his hand away the rough calloused skin was dripping in blood already, Rainer knew if he didn't get back to the caves and stitch himself up he'd bleed out soon.
He turned away from Alana, walking away without saying anything as he knew she'd follow him back. Finally making it back to the caves Rainer ignored all the other wolves who had come out at the scent of their alpha returning, brushing past them all as they all looked on in worry as blood trailed down his leg and left droplets on the ground. Climbing up a few rocks Rainer moved into his cave which was higher up the mountain than all the other caves where the wolves lived, pushing past the material of the doorway. Moving to a wooden cabinet which he had made himself Rainer grabbed out a needle and thread, untying the material around his waist as he began to stitch himself up, hissing out low at the tweaks of pain whenever the needle met skin and the string pulled through his wound.

Alana glared at the tree in front of her before she heard Rainer's words. The content of them made her come up short in shock and for a moment forget her anger. He was blaming himself? She turned when she heard his hiss and her eyes went wide as she took in the blood. He had been injured? She hadn't even realised. She smelt the blood in the air now, the familiar smell masking the other blood. She looked up at him with wide eyes and was about to speak when he turned and started walking back.
She followed him, knowing he was going to back to stitch himself up and that was fine with her. She forgot about her anger as she frowned after him. She didn't like the fact he was hurt and she hoped he would go to a healer once he was back. Of course she knew he probably wouldn't. He was an idiot when it came to things like that. She then felt nerves as she realised she would be returning to the pack as a completely different status. Of course they wouldn't know that yet but she did.
AS they arrived people came out and she kept her eyes down and avoided contact. She knew it was a stupid move since it showed submission when she was definitely not giving that. She just didn't know how to go about herself. So she just followed Rainer, climbing up into his cave, ignoring the whispers she could hear. People could smell the blood and scents which lingered on them. They would surely be wondering what had happened. She watched as Rainer got out a needle and thread and she winced looking away.
As she heard his noises of pain she moved over and stood behind him. She put her hands on his shoulder and kissed it gently, hoping to comfort him in some way. She then moved away and went to look out over the forest from his cave. She sighed as she lent against the stone wall.
"It's going to be a long, hard war." She said as she looked over the pack below her. "How are we going to tell them about me?" She asked wondering if asking him questions would distract him from the pain.
