Alana scowled and glared down, still not meeting Rainer's eyes as he snapped at her. Why would he bother healing her if he was angry at her? Why not punish her by making her walk to the cave? She of course already knew the answer, he was a good Alpha, he cared for his pack. Just because he was angry at her didn't mean he was about to make her suffer. That didn't stop the fact that she wished he would just put her down. She didn't want to be in his arms, it felt too good for her liking.
"I didn't ask you to help me." She muttered under her breath.
She stayed his his arms, biting her tongue sometimes so hard that it bled. She didn't like showing him weakness so she was doing her best to hide it. Of course she knew that he knew she was in pain but that didn't mean she was allowed to cry and scream. They soon arrived at the cave and she was soon being attended to. She kept her gaze stony and on the floor as her bruises and broken hand were fixed. A few people came to investigate but they didn't stay long which she was glad for. She spoke to none of them. As soon as she was completely healed she thanked the healer briefly before swiftly standing and shooting back into the forest.
She was high in the trees in under minute and sat on the top tree of the tallest around. She looked out over the forest and sighed. What was she meant to do now? What was she suppose to feel? She had never felt this confused, well, she had, but not in a very long time. In fact it was the same thing with the fear, Rainer seemed to be bring up a lot of feelings she hadn't felt since she was 8.

Rainer let out a low growl when he heard Alana's muttered words. "You don't need to ask for me to help you Alana...you should know I'd help you without you saying a word," Rainer spoke back in a bitter tone. He was angry, but he was sad. He had saved Alana all those years back because he had been drawn in by the scent of another wolf and the screams which had followed had only spurred his movement to the house where he had rescued Alana.
Rainer sat her down gently as the healer was called who quickly began to attend to Alana's wounds. He just lent against the wall of the cave, glaring at everyone who tried to peak in and see what was happening and they all gladly scampered away, none wanting to feel their alpha's wrath.
Alana however took off once the healing was done and Rainer sighed, thanked the healer with a nod of his head before he followed the scent of his friend through the forest, stopping beneath a tree. Rainer just looked up, breathing softly. "Als...I'm sorry..." the wolf called out, truth held behind every word.

Alana sat at the top of the tree. She sometimes reminded herself more of a cat than a dog. She sat there, leaning against the trunk and her eyes taking in the night before her. The stars shone above her and the cool air nipped at her skin. She was pushing her thoughts and emotions away though she knew she had to deal with them sooner rather than later. She decided then that she was going to sleep up here. It wasn't too far from the werewolf caves so no creature would venture here.
She then sighed and let her walls down. She let all the emotions she was holding back come crashing down around her and she felt tears fill her eyes and slide down her face and fall to the ground below. She couldn't even distinguish why she was crying. In fact she guessed it was just because she was overwhelmed. She looked up to the moon, it was nearly full. She would have to endure a shift soon. She knew that was probably affecting her emotions as well. She shook her head slightly, shaking any loose tears off before calming herself with a deep breath.
She was about to start dissecting her feels when she smelt his scent. She sighed and listened for his footsteps only to realise he was already beneath her tree. She was letting her emotions get the better of her. She then looked down when she heard his voice. He was sorry? She knew he meant it, she could sense no lie in his words. What did she do? Why had he followed her from the cave? Why was he even bothering? Wasn't he angry at her? She didn't know what to do so she prolonged the time whether she would have to accept or deny.
"What for?" She asked, her voice emotionless.

Rainer had noticed the moon earlier that night, he knew that tomorrow would be full and their whole pack would be out hunting for the hunt. Rainer had to make note to make sure to put up barriers which prevented them from leaving the forest and mountains, he didn't want them infecting people in the nearby towns. However, if some poor soul had been out hiking or camping they'd be lost as a meal to any one of the numerous wolves which stalked these forest floors.
"For letting you get hurt...for hurting you, for everything," Rainer replied, still looking up through the branches. He could just catch a glimpse of her through the foalage, she was high up and it made it hard to visually spot her. He however could still smell her, and he was confused about the salty scent which surrounded Alana but he didn't comment on it. If his instincts were correct and Alana was crying Rainer wouldn't bring it up, he knew how much Alana hated to be weak and vulnerable. It was against their nature to be weak, Rainer himself did not let anyone see him when he was troubled.
It dawned upon Rainer however that he had actually let someone see him when he was weak, and that girl was up in the tree right now. Alana was always there for him in times of need and comfort, he just hoped that she'd come to him if she needed to be given reassurance as well.

As he spoke she felt anger spike within her. He had hurt her. He had made her fear for her life which she had never wanted to experience again. Of course she had been in life or death situations but she had never felt that fear since her encounter. She glared up at the moon before she was suddenly on the branch closest to the ground, her movements fast and precise. She was glaring down at him within seconds. How dare he.
"You're right. You did hurt me." She snapped.
She swung down so she was standing in front of him. She was close but not close enough to touch him. She now had to glare up at him but she was still just as angry. She didn't let herself think that the anger was her just burning off the emotions she was desperately trying to get rid of. She felt more tears enter her eyes and saw them blur her vision.
"I haven't felt that fear since I was attacked in my parents abandoned house. I haven't felt this confused since I realised they had abandoned me for no reason. I haven't felt this angry since my first change and knowing it was my parents fault. I haven't felt like this about anyone in my life." She said, the last line slipping out and taking her by shock. She took a step back before tensing to spring into the trees again.

He could hear her move through the trees until she was on the branch closest to the ground, enabling the sandy haired wolf to be able to see her now. He could see the tear tracks reflected in the moon light on her face and he had to ignore the stabbing feel of pain and guilt which crept into his chest. He could see the accusation reflected in her eyes which were currently glaring at him darkly.
"I know, I really didn't mean it Als, you just..." Rainer trailed off, not knowing how to explain what had happened. In that moment he had felt such anger from the last time they had been together and Alana's scent from them still continued to waft to him, even when they were up in the walkways above the crowd he could have stilled picked out her scent. She had been plaguing his mind and body and Rainer didn't know what to do with such a thing. Her smell was intoxicating and he just couldn't get enough of it. It had been why when she had evaded his advances in the forest that his beast saw that as a rejection and he didn't appreciate that at all.
As Alana stepped down till she was on the ground before him Rainer didn't dare move. He knew that if he did she'd run away again or worse, leave the pack all together. Rainer couldn't stand the thought of that. He had grown up with Alana, he had spent most of his childhood, teens and current adult years within her presence. Alana was far too large of a part of his life, so he wouldn't risk letting her leave, not as a result of his actions anyway.
"I know Alana...I know that I shouldn't have hurt you I just...couldn't control the sheer anger I felt then, my beast was so frustrated and I just..." Rainer trailed off, avoiding her gaze. He didn't want her to see just how awkward he was feeling about talking about all this mushy stuff.

Alana was about to jump back into the tree when she heard what Rainer said. She stopped and stared at him, her eyes narrowed. He was going to blame this on his wolf? What had she even done to deserve the anger? She had spoken back and rebelled before and this had never happened before so why did it suddenly affect him? She tried not to flash back to their incident, whenever she thought about it too much it got her slightly wound up and he would be able to smell that.
"Why were you angry? What had I done to offend your beast so?" She ashed, her tone still sharp.
She then sprung to thew nearest branch, she felt uncomfortable being close to him and she hated that. Her skin crawled and she felt sick. She hated that she now feared the man she owed her life. She also hated that she knew she was probably over-reacting but what could she do? She had gone through a traumatic experience and now it was flashing back in her mind.
"I'm scared of you Rainer." She whispered, looking away from him.

Rainer could feel her anger, had he said something wrong? Her eyes stared at him accusingly and the male had to wonder what he had done wrong. He had just told her what the truth was yet she glared at him as if he were the scum of the universe. Rainer couldn't understand it, women and their fluctuating emotions. They were scared then sad then angry all within the space of a few minutes. Rainer could understand that to an extent, being a werewolf even without the cycle being close meant that his beast was far more moody with certain things, which is what had happened with the forest. His anger was that of his beast being denied...it was the only explanation.
"I..." Rainer didn't know what to say to her words. "You denied us so many times it was just..." He sighed, running his fingers through his shaggy mane of hair, it was complicated to speak about it when he himself had no clue.
He watched as Alana looked away from him, she probably hated him. Rainer just looked on, sadness reflected in his eyes and guilt clutching at his heart. Rainer went to reach out a hand to touch her but he stopped, pulling away again as he let his arm drop back to his side. He wouldn't touch her...not with her whispered words. He didn't know what to do anymore, what to say. It would all be in vain anyway. "I...I will understand if you want to leave the pack Alana...and I won't stop you..." Rainer said softly, hoping she'd not blame him forever that someday, she might forgive him. "I'm sorry...really I am."

Alana's eyebrows shot up. He was angry because she denied him? She had thought she was doing him a favour? Surely he would of been disgusted if she hadn't stopped. Why would he want to go near her? She had seen some of the girls he spent time with, they were gorgeous. What was she? A scared werewolf. She listened and felt her eyes fill with tears once more as he spoke. He would let her leave? No-one left. She looked down at him as her tears dropped.
She knew she couldn't leave. She couldn't be by herself. She dropped from the branch and moved closer to him. She stood in front of him, ignoring the itch to move away. She looked up at him. No, she was not going to let him get away. She was not going to let him go. He saved her life and deep down she knew he would never hurt her. Not too badly or more than she deserved. He was her saviour.
"Touch me. Please. I don't want to be afraid." She said softly.

Rainer felt for the first time in his life like he had to run away. Rainer never ran away, from anything. Even as a child when he had been faced with a werewolf in that forest he hadn't tried to run, it was in his nature to just stand and fight. He grew up training with the most fearsome werewolf in Europe and he stood his ground despite having no chance of winning. But yet, now as he stood there in the quiet of the forest with the odd distant call of an animal Rainer felt like he wanted to turn tail and run till his legs gave out beneath him.
He sensed Alana move back to the ground, the soft thump resounding like a gunshot in his ears. Was she going to hit him? Was she going to run away from him? Was she going to leave and never return back to the pack? All these scenario's ran through his mind and Rainer felt his hand twitch in nervousness. All these endings weren't doing anything for his current emotional state, his heart was all a mess with Alana.
As she stepped forward before him and stared up Rainer felt that urge to touch her again but he held back. He couldn't do that, not without making her repulsed. However, at her words his hand twitched again. Was it really ok?
Taking the chance, he let a hand come up to settle on her cheek, trembling. What was wrong with him, why was he quaking like a puppy in fear? Rainer moved closer, wrapping both arms around Alana as he pulled her to his chest. "Please don't leave Alana...don't hate me."

Alana waited, her eyes closed and her body trembling slightly. She heard his movement and waited, trying her hardest to contain any flinch. Then his hand was on her check and all the fear, all the anger she had felt left her. It was Rainer and his touch was too familiar to fear. He had saved her, that was the hand that had touched her when she had been injured and alone. The hand which had cared for her when not even her parents had. She opened her eyes only to be pulled against his chest.
She then realised he was shaking. She was shocked. Rainer was shaking? Was he afraid. His words only proved her thoughts. Rainer was scared of her leaving. She realised that he was just as scared as not being around her as she was not being around him. She let her arms hug him back and she realised that she hadn't hugged him in a long time. She pulled back slightly to look up at him.
"I'm not leaving Rainer." She said strongly before putting her head back to his chest and breathing in deeply. She loved his scent. Her hands went under his shirt to his warm skin and she stood there, against his body in peace. The fear she had felt was gone. It had been stupid anyway. "As long as you want me I'll stay." She promised before she took a step back. "Though I do have to ask, why would me denying you make you angry? Surely you're glad I stopped before you did something you regretted?' She asked.

Rainer heard Alana's words, merely nodding before he felt her head against his chest. He slowly moved a hand from around her to rest on the back of her head, his fingers curling into the dark locks as he all but clutched her to him. He was so afraid of loosing her, he felt like he was holding on for dear life. He couldn't loose Alana, not when she was the only one who he could rely on to not persecute him when he was not well or not strong enough.
Everyone expected things from him, whether it be Greyback or Liam or the Pack, someone was always hoping for something from him and it took it's toll on his stability and mentality. It had been years since he had a proper rest, a break from all this chaos which had been reigning. Alana was the only one who'd let him just relax, to let himself unwind in her presence and she'd just stay with him, providing him with a comfort that no one else would give.
"I want you to stay Alana...I need you to stay...you're the only one who I can be myself around..." Rainer whispered barely above a breath. It was embarrassing to admit, and he made sure that Alana wouldn't be able to see his insecurity as he rested his chin atop her head, looking out into the forest.
As she stepped back he had to pause at her question. It had been the question that had been plaguing him for days, forever bouncing about his head. Why had he been so angry? She had been in heat and her scent had lured in his wolf, but even then like tonight when she had finished her cycle he still felt anger coarse through him when he saw her kissing that man. "I wouldn't have regretted it Alana..." Rainer said softly, not even knowing why he wouldn't but he knew that in his heart, he wouldn't have regretted anything he might have done that night. "I...I don't know why myself so don't ask but I just know that I angry, even tonight when I saw you kissing that bastard wizard at the concert, I was just so...angry..."

Alana felt Rainer grip her tightly and if she hadn't been as strong as she was it probably would of hurt. She didn't mind, it was comforting and she was enjoying every second. Then he spoke and she felt herself freeze. He needed her. He admitted it himself. Rainer, the Alpha needed her. She felt her insides do something funny and she suddenly felt slightly nervous. She was glad though, she liked the fact he could be himself around her. She was proud to be able to say that.
Then as she stepped back and looked at him she realised it. What she had been hiding from herself for a very long time. She was almost too scared to think it but she knew she had to. She liked Rainer. Her eyes widened ever so slightly at her realisiation. The hurt, the strange emotions. They all made sense now. She tried not to let him know she had come to such a conclusion but the thought scared her slightly.
She listened as she spoke about being angry, she tried to focus on his words and she realised that he sounded jealous! No, surely he couldn't of been jealous. Her new conclusion was making her go mad. She couldn't think of anything else as to why he would be angry however. She stared at him and realised she needed to say something.
"Um what made you angry?" She asked, her voice quieter than before.

Rainer didn't know what was happening to him, he was just in such a mess. His head hurt from trying to analyze what exactly was he feeling and why he was feeling it. He felt anger, anxiety, hurt, shame and a whole lot of other emotions swirling in the pit of his stomach, churning and bubbling and making the sandy haired male feel slightly woozy. Alana hated him for sure, she was staying but he was sure she wished to leave.
Alana stepped away from him and Rainer had the urge to pull her back to his chest but he refrained from doing so. He wouldn't want to do something to scare her off again, especially if he was being possessive like that. He was alpha, he wasn't supposed to be in such a state of inner turmoil that it was affecting his actions. Rainer needed to clear his head and his heart, he needed to be able to think straight.
"I...I don't want to see you messing round with some other guy Alana, especially a blasted wizard at that. They're below us, you can do much better than that trash," Rainer replied, his hand twitching to hold the wolf before him again. He wouldn't touch her though, not unless she came back to him and made it obvious that it was ok for him to hold her once more.

Alana's eyebrows shot up at what Rainer said. He didn't want her messing with other guys.. Did he mean other than him? Her heart beat started to beat a lot faster than normal and she cursed herself silently, surely he could hear that. It was drumming loudly in her ears. Then of course she realised he just meant non werewolves. Of course he wouldn't just want her to himself. She looked at his chest in stead of his eyes. She bit her lip and gulped. She felt like running or doing something else that she couldn't quite put her finger on.
She stood there fiddling with her hands, tension building up within her body. What was she to do? She could see Rainer's hands moving ever so slightly and she knew he was holding something back. What was it? Did he want to attack her? No surely not. Touch her somehow? She took a deep breath before looking up at his face and it hit her.
She wanted to kiss him.
She felt her body, without her permission lunge forward. Her lips came into contact with his and her hands went to either side of his face. She felt the same passion that she had felt before shoot through her. She wrapped her legs around his waist, she was too short to kiss him otherwise. She was kissing him with an intensity she didn't know she had before she realised what she was doing and she shot back, jumping off him until her back hit a tree, her eyes wide.
"I am so sorry." She spluttered.
