Rainer stood there in the forest with Alana much as they had been that time as well, standing at a face off between the two wolves. This time however, he was in full control of his body, he wouldn't let his wolf be in control for he didn't trust himself enough to believe that he wouldn't hurt Alana again. It seemed that in the past few weeks, all he had been doing was hurting Alana, even just a few hours earlier he had placed his hands around her neck and had tried to squeeze the very breath from her lungs.
The feel of legs around his waist and lips against him shook him from his mulling as Rainer realized that Alana was currently latched to him. She was kissing him, willfully at that too. What did that mean? Could that mean she really didn't hate him, or was this just to appease him? Rainer didn't take too long to contemplate his thoughts though, his hands going to her back to support Alana as he kissed back with a feverish passion which had seemed to rekindle from their last kiss they shared.
Soon though it was all over as Alana jumped back from him apologizing. Rainer couldn't hold back his growl, how many times would she tease him like this? Let him have a taste of sin before pulling away, forever keeping him at a distance despite then letting him close, constantly pushing him away. He didn't want her to leave again, not since what happened last time when she had escaped from him, not again, he wouldn't let her get away from him again.
Rainer was in full control of his mind and body, this was his own doing and that thought jolted him a little. This, whatever it was he was feeling wasn't to blame on his wolf, it was his own heart and emotions in turmoil and that thought made Rainer a little bit shocked, he'd never felt like this before it was certainly something new. All this he'd sort out later though, but for now his goal was to make sure Alana wouldn't get away from him.
He took two steps forward, easily closing the distance between them as he pressed her up against the tree she was leaning against, his hands going to her face, that beautiful face he'd always look for since childhood. "Don't run away from me anymore Alana...don't leave me alone anymore..." Rainer whispered out before he placed a chaste kiss to her lips, keeping it gentle and sweet, he didn't want to scare her.

Alana was shocked with herself. She had kissed Rainer. She had done it with no reason behind it. There was no excuse she could use to get out of it if he asked why she had done it. There was nothing to could use to save herself. The problem was that she liked and that she would definitely do it again. No, she couldn't let herself. Rainer was probably disgusted enough as it was, or angry that she had used him or something. She had been slightly surprised though, he had definitely been kissing her back.
Then he started moving, she didn't dare move, she was too close to him to be able to escape. He got closer and her heart which was already racing managed to go even faster still. She stared at him and soon her back was pressing harder against the tree, his chest touching hers. She didn't look up at him, he was just doing this to keep her here. She was probably in trouble. Then his hands were on her face and she looked up in shock.
His words then shook her to her core. She had never heard anything as honest and so filled with emotion come out of Rainer's mouth before that. Then his lips were on hers. His lips were on her willingly. He had no excuse either, she knew he was in complete control, no wolf would say what he just did. There was no logical explanation as to why he would be doing this unless.... he wanted her back.
When he pulled apart she reached up to his hands and put hers over top. She slowly pulled the off her face but keep a hold of them. She had to ask, she had to know because if he was just teasing or just having a bit of fun then she couldn't handle it. She looked up into his handsome face, the one she owed her life.
"Do you want this Rainer? Do you want me?" She asked. Her voice the most vulnerable she had ever let it be.

Rainer felt Alana place her hands atop his own, the warmth he felt familiar and the scent which filled his being was a welcomed comfort. Alana had always been the one to calm him, soothe him and her scent itself did just that. Maybe he had become too familiar with it, she always had been around him as a child and they grew up practically side by side.
Her words resounded in his head, bouncing back and forth between his ears. Rainer stayed silent, not because he was unable to speak, but because he didn't know what to say, and why he felt that way. He knew he had to say yes, he knew that he wanted Alana very much, her very being drew him in like a moth to a flame, but his heart was in a mess. Why did he want Alana so much? Why did he get so frustrated when she'd run away from him? Why did seeing her with another man make him so outraged? These emotions he felt were confusing him, and the fact that he felt these emotions made that confusion only double.
Alana was his friend and his companion, she was the one whom he could trust and rely on. Why was he suddenly feeling like this? When did he begin to feel such a possessive power over the other wolf? So much so, that Rainer despised Alana for having denied him? "I do Alana...so much that I can't control my own actions but I just...I just don't fucking know why" Rainer breathed out.

Alana waited for a reply patiently. Well on the outside she would seem patient. On this inside she was going crazy. Rainer had just kissed her. It had been the sweetest kiss she had ever received from the man who saved her life. She never thought it would happen but it had and now all she needed was one answer to know he meant it. Once simple yes. That was all. She waited until he spoke. She felt her heart leap for joy and she was about to throw herself at him until she heard the rest of the sentence.
If he hadn't said the words before them she probably would of been hurt. Except the words he had just spoken gave hr all the confidence in the world. Of course she didn't think she deserved him but he wanted her, who was she to deny that. She jumped out from beneath him until she grabbed the branch above and smiled down at him. A smile was plastered on her face as she stared down at him. He would probably be angry at that but she wasn't running.
"Join me." She stated before she climbed higher. She knew he could do it, he wasn't bad at climbing trees, she was just better.
She climbed back to the highest branch that could hold her and his weight and waited for him. The stars and moon above were suddenly romantic to her and she was still trying to wrap her head around what was happening. She found it slightly funny that with that single sentence he had spoke he had given her all the power.
Alana had known Rainer for a long time and she knew that he would have no idea what was going on inside him. It was just like she hadn't. However she was a girl, it was much easier for her to realise then it was for him. he liked her, maybe even loved her. Of course he wouldn't be able to identify those feelings, he'd never had that before. She would know, she'd been there his entire life.
When he joined her she motioned for him to sit with his back leaning against the trunk of the tree. Once he was there she sat between his legs and lent back against his chest. She was being bold and it was scary and exciting at the same time. She took one of his hands and let her fingers slip in between his. It was almost comical how much bigger his hand was than hers.
"Rainer, is it possible do you think that you might like me?" She asked, a small smirk on her lips as she looked up at the moon. Was that a not so subtle way of getting him to think of that as a possibility? Yes, yes it was.

As Alana jumped away from him Rainer felt a stabbing pain at his chest, realising that she was running away from him again. Leaving him, the pain of rejection was crushing the breath out of his lungs, it was the first time he had ever felt like that. Women never rejected him, so the fact that Alana was once again evading his advancing boiled his blood. The one woman who he desired was escaping from his clutches once again.
Her words though brought back new hope, she was inviting him to join him in the tree. Alana should know that Rainer preferred to not climb, he broke far too many branches with his weight and it meant falling out of trees more than climbing them. Rainer let out a sigh of annoyance before he grabbed the closet branch and swung himself up onto it, ignoring the groans of protest from the wood beneath his feet. Grabbing the branch above him he continued up, climbing ever higher till he finally came to rest on the branch where Alana sat.
As the female wolf motioned for him to join her, so Rainer complied and sat down, his back pressed against the rough bark of the tree he was surprised when Alana sat herself between his legs as he felt the heat of her body through her back which was pressed up against his chest. Instinctively, his arms moved to wrap around her waist in response to her current position,At h it seemed almost natural to do so. He felt her entangle one of her hands within his own and he let a mirror of a smile grace his features, although Alana would be none the wiser of it, her back was turned to him which he was thankful for.
At her words he had to pause, his brain whirling through the possibility of such a thing. He knew he felt something for her, but Rainer did not know what that feeling was, never having felt it previous to this. "I might..." Rainer said softly, kissing the back of Alana's neck as he mumbled against her skin below a breath, "I've never felt like this for anyone and I just...I wouldn't know what it is or what it isn't...it's all too confusing."

Alana smiled to herself as Rainer wrapped his arms around her. She didn't know why and she was shocked she had never picked up before but it felt so right to be with Rainer. She wondered if this was going to be a one off thing. If he would decide he was wrong and she would have to go back to acting like he was her friend. She knew she'd never be able to do that now. She realised that she had stayed with him, done so much for him and always been there for more than just the will to repay him for saving her life. She couldn't believe she'd been so blind to it before.
She let out a pleasant sigh as he kissed her neck and listened to what he said. It was exactly the answer she had expected. Rainer hadn't exactly had the most conventional upbringing. He wasn't exactly educated when it came to feelings. He probably didn't even know the anger he had been feeling was jealousy. He had never been taught those emotions and realised what they felt like. She didn't mind, she would happily teach him. She had to wonder though, if this went on, did that mean she would be pushed up the ranks in the pack as his...what? What was she?
"I think you might Rainer." She whispered into the night, glad she couldn't see the confusion on her face as she mulled over her thoughts. "I think I might." She added.
She had to wonder if this would work. Would Greyback approve? He had let her stay all those years ago and let Rainer train her himself. Did that mean he liked her? Well she wasn't sure Greyback liked anyone. She then pushed all her thoughts away. She would focus on the here and now. She was currently nestled up against Rainer's chest, his warmth radiating into her. She didn't want to think of negative things.
"I think I might like you very much Rainer Greyback." She said quietly, not daring to let him see her face as she smiled softly.

With Alana in his arms everything felt right in that moment. In the past, Rainer had never been so intimate with Alana, ever. They would hug and sleep together as children but they had been cubs then, he had craved the warmth of another since Greyback would rarely play the loving father to him, only when he was successful or was pleased by his son's actions would he show any sort of affection to Rainer. Greyback had been a cold man but Rainer knew his father was proud of him, he had proved that he had been worth something to Greyback. The elder wolf had saved him when he could have abandoned him in that forest as a child, Rainer had strived to repay that debt for years and he knew that he had shown Greyback that saving him hadn't been a mistake.
"Mm," was all Rainer said in reply, nuzzling her neck as he breathed in her scent. She really was delectable. Maybe he did like her? Maybe that was what he was feeling? Rainer wouldn't know, he never had experienced it nor had his father even spoken of such things. It wasn't uncommon for wolves to join and have cubs, but was it out of emotion or out of obligation? Rainer knew that there was many things, especially emotional wise that he didn't know about and that made him irritated that he was so clueless at the current moment. He hated being vulnerable like this, especially when he didn't know what to do about Alana.
"I...I..." For the first time in many years he felt himself choke up, his heart was hammering in his ears. He didn't know how to reply, this was all too much for him and all too soon. "I like you too Alana..." Rainer finally breathed out once he had taken a few breaths to calm himself. He knew it was true, he did but this big step took a lot out of him, it made him look into himself to find that part of his childhood where he had forced himself to stop believing in emotions like love. It would be a hard road ahead but Rainer was sure he'd make it out eventually, hopefully with the woman in his arms by his side.

Alana giggled slightly when Rainer nuzzled her neck, it felt nice and tickled at the same time. She squeezed his hand gently which hung by their sides. She realised that she was the only person who had ever seen this side of the man behind her. Well unless he had some secret girlfriend or wife somewhere though she highly doubted that. If he did she would be the first to pick up on it. He didn't sneak away enough. She knew he definitely went away and slept with woman and the thought made her slightly angry. There would be no more of that.
Then he said it. Slowly and unsure albeit but he said it. He liked her too. She knew he wouldn't lie to her. She knew that there was no way he would joke about this because it was hard enough for him just to say it. She turned around at that moment and stared up at him. Her eyes were wide with shock and amazement. He liked her too. She lent upwards and softly connected her lips to his. It was a sweet kiss, much like the one he had given her before and she pulled back smiling.
"To the start of something new." She murmured before turning to the sky again and leaning against him. "Though I'm confused as to where this will leave me in the ranks." She stated.
Would they even tell the pack? Would he want to? Surely if they didn't it wouldn't last long before he got possessive or protective and the pack picked up on something. Of course they knew of their friendship, it was hard to miss but hiding a relationship? That was something entirely different. If he though of her as his then he would't want anyone else touching her and well, the truth was a lot of other people tried.

Rainer loved to hear Alana's laugh, and as she giggled due to his actions it only spurred him to continue as he rubbed his nose against the dip of her neck, inhaling in her scent, committing it to memory. He had never known how much Alana's scent soothed him until then, sure he knew being in her presence was a matter which always calmed his nerves or dissipated his anger, but everything about Alana was appealing to his very being. She was the one who knew his strengths and his weaknesses yet she did not accuse him nor degrade him for not being perfect, for not being able to be the absolute best alpha that he needed to be for their pack.
As Alana turned in his arms he looked down at the thin girl in his arms, her expression as she looked up at him made his heart jump into his throat. As she kissed him Rainer put more pressure behind his lips, keeping it short though as he felt Alana begin to pull away (much to his disappointment though). "Ay..." Rainer said in reply, his deep voice echoing out into the silence of the night. All the creatures were probably scared away from the treetops with the scent of the wolves there, their animal instincts told them to run in the opposite direction usually, they just sometimes weren't fast enough in running when it came to hunting.
"Well...I'm sure we can figure it out...probably the alpha-female then...mother to the pack," Rainer stated. It was rare though that alphas in the werewolf packs took on partners, they usually just procreated with whoever was willing. Greyback didn't procreate instead he preferred making, a fair few werewolves out and about were said to have been a result of a bite from the famed lycanthropy infected wolf. "Would you want that though Al? Would you want to be the mother to the pack?"

Alana sat waiting for him to answer. She wasn't sure whether she wanted to change ranks. She knew there were a few wolves she wouldn't beat if she had to fight them which is why they were above her. She also knew that whatever position she held would be connected to Rainer and an attack on her would be an attack on him. She shivered slightly, the cool air touching her skin contrasting with the warmth of Rainer's body behind her. Then he started speaking and she kept her expression neutral as she thought if over.
Mother of the pack, it was a high position that was for sure. It also meant she would be the one a lot of the wolves came to for problems. he knew it would change a lot of her relationships with people but she knew that she would end up taking it. She knew that she didn't really care what position she was in the pack if it meant she got to be with Rainer. He also wanted everyone else to know she was with Rainer. That meant no females could try and sleep with him and no male with her. That would be one thing she didn't miss at all. She turned to Rainer again.
"As long as I'm by your side then yes." She said before smirking, "That was the cheesiest thing I've ever said."
She then swung down off the branch and looked up at Rainer with a grin. She knew the male couldn't handle too much of this emotional crap and to be honest, she was getting slightly sick of it in that moment herself. She continued down knowing he would follow. As she landed on the ground she straightened herself before sniffing in deeply. Her eyes flashed open as caught the cent of a deer.
"Dinner time." She said before shooting forward.

Rainer knew that this probably would be a big step for Alana, and it meant a lot of responsibilities and priorities for the pack would be resting on her shoulders. That position was essential to Rainer because Alana would be the one he could trust with his affairs and know that they won't be fucked up when he orders it to do it specifically. With Alana there were no mistakes, and that made her earn trust within the pack, Rainer was sure many would be accepting of such a move of power to Alana, it wasn't like she already wasn't high in the pack hierarchy, Alana did well at her job and she was rewarded for such.
When he heard her ok Rainer let a rare smile pass his lips and even a deep chuckle at Alana's teasing. "You should be glad I said these cheesy lines or else I might have gone and asked someone else to have been by mate," Rainer bit back, it was said jokingly but there was still a tone of warning there. He admitted he liked her, Alana should not push him for anything more than that until he himself was ready. He asked her to be his mate to take her off the market, not boost her ego. His tone kept his authority, Rainer would keep Alana in her place still, he was the alpha and that meant he stood above everyone, even her.
As Alana swung down off the branch and made her way back down to where he could only presume was the ground from their current position. Rainer himself didn't even bother swinging down, he just jumped off the branch he was on into the open space around the tree, landing easily oh the ground below in a crouch. The first thing he did was sniff the air for any signs of dangers, instinct drove him though when a familiar smell caught his attention as he heard Alana's words, it seems she had picked up on it too.
Taking off in the direction of the smell Rainer easily caught up with Alana, giving her a smirk as he shot forward past her, egging her to speed up and chase him. This was their war, their game, this was his zone. He was the hunter and his prey was drawing close from the scent which wafted through the air.

Alana didn't miss the warning tone in Rainer's words and she knew it was a warning to her about how she should treat him. He was saying he was still Alpha and she should respect that. She tried not to be offended by the fact he thought the power would get to her head but she knew what he meant. He had his pack to think of and she could be a liability. She didn't say anything instead she just made her way to the ground. She didn't flinch when he hit the ground, the shock vibrating her feet. That was when she shot forward.
As soon as she heard Rainer follow adrenaline burst through her. She always had a thing with him chasing her. It was a survival instinct she thought. He was bigger, stronger and she knew if he wanted her dead then she wouldn't stand a chance at all where with other wolves she would. Of course there was also the fact she was very attracted to him. She smiled as he appeared next to her and went forward. She sped up as well, pushing herself. She wasn't really that hungry, not for raw meat so she didn't mind him getting it.
She appeared in the clearing afterwards and she stopped when she saw the deer already dead. The others had shot off in different directions and although she could chase them if she wanted to she didn't. Instead she watched the man in front of her, the one she was now the mate of and lent against the nearest tree with a smile.
"Cheat." She muttered knowing it would egg him on. This was what they did. Teased and chased and had fun.

Rainer was hungry, a few hours back he had been bathed in a blood bath at accio arena, but now he wanted to eat. He fed off the feeling of killing, of ripping into fresh meat as blood dripped down his chin, still warm from it's owner. Rainer loved to act like a beast, he was a beast. Hunting was his forte, and running through the trees of the forest had his blood pumping as his mouth twisted into a fanged grin, his blood thirst only increasing as he approached his pray.
Once he was close enough to hear the movement of the deer he slowed down, crouching down low to the ground as he moved silently and deadly. He stopped behind a tree, sniffing the air as his eyes were kept on the group of deer. Not giving them a chance to even run away he launched himself, tackling the closest deer to him as the rest scattered into the surrounding forestry but Rainer paid no mind, he had his pray hanging limp in his mouth by the neck, the spine already broken with a fierce shake of his head.
Rainer tucked into his meal, his stomach being filled with the raw meat. He didn't think that his earlier stunt had made him this hungry, but his distraction of Alana had kept his mind from thinking about his stomach. Smelling Alana approach he turned to see her emerge from the trees, growling low in warning to make sure she didn't try to take his food. He may have had feelings for the young she-wolf but food is food and Rainer loved his dinner.
"Like you'd ever beat me anyway." Rainer said in reply as he wiped his mouth, his deer mostly eaten. He walked over to Alana as she rested up against the tree. Leaning an arm above Alana's head on the tree trunk Rainer leant down himself, a smirk on his lips as he pressed a kiss to her cheek, leaving blood in it's place from his meal. It looked as if Rainer had been wearing crimson lipstick now that Alana had a red painted lip print on her cheek. Rainer just had to laugh at the site before he turned and ran off again, although this time to get away from Alana's wrath.

Alana watched him eat and she had to admire the beast within him. She wasn't going near his meal. It made her feel slightly sick to think of tearing into an animals flesh with bone and muscle and fur everywhere. It just wasn't for her. She raised an eyebrow as him when he said he wouldn't beat her. She knew that was true but she wasn't going to admit it to him that easily. She may be his mate now but she was still his life time friend.
"One day I will and I'll make you eat those words." She teased.
She felt excitement pick up as he walked towards her. She grinned back at his smirk though she didn't trust him for a second. He had a playful look in his eye. When he reached her she was about to speak when he lent down and kissed her cheek. She felt her heart flutter at the sweet gesture until she heard Rainer laugh and felt the warm liquid start to dribble down her cheek. Her eyes widened before narrowing as he shot away.
"Rainer Greyback that is disgusting!" she yelled before wiping it off with the back of her hand and chasing after him.
She ran for a while before realising she really was not going to catch him. She would have to play dirty. Without slowing she tripped herself and soon she was tumbling in the dirt, crying out in pain though really was was falling skilfully. She grabbed her hand which had just been fixed and held it at a strange angle as she hissed in pain. She didn't call out to him and stood, leaning against a tree as if she was hurt and didn't want him to know.

"And yet, one day is still so far away," Rainer said simply, his words ending in a sigh and a pitying shake of his head, feigning his sadness for the woman before him. Rainer knew that even Alana acknowledged that she wouldn't be able to beat him, especially at something like hunting where he trumped all in speed, strength and size. He was the alpha for a reason, and even though Alana was talking as if she'd one day be able to beat Rainer at his own game, the she-wolf was more than aware of his skills, he had grown up honing them around her after all.
He knew that from her yell that he was in trouble, the way she said his name told him as much. He only laughed loudly, feeling more than at ease to act in such a way before Alana. He would never be like this, all laughter and joking. It had only ever been Alana, always.
He could tell she had been following him when all of a sudden her scent wasn't in range and Rainer stopped, turning back to face the trees from where he had just come from. Had something happened? He took back off, following his own tracks back through the forest, retracing his steps in an attempt to find Alana. Once he picked up her scent again he moved towards where he could sense her, emerging from the thicket to see Alana leaning up against a tree once more, although this time rather than a smile on her lips there was a pained look on her face. "Al, what happened?" Rainer said in concern, stepping forward as he looked her over, seeing the dirt on her and realised that she must have fallen. "Did you fuck up your hand again?"
