Savannah was so nervous. It had only been a few weeks ago that Orion had stolen her away into the night to serenade her which had led her to kiss him. At first she had been ashamed and embarrassed and had wanted to run away but then he had kissed her and somehow, amongst all the red cheeks and shocked looks they had realised they liked each other and had for a while. They had meant to go on date the week later but school work, the Minister being killed and various other things had put it off. Now they had finally set a date and she was beyond nervous. She wasn't the type of girl to get nervous either. She looked in the mirror, looking at the dress she wore. She wondered if it was too much, or too little, or if she looked fat. She stared at her reflection until Imogen all but kicked her out the room. She was thankful she had otherwise it would have been likely that Savannah would have been late. She walked out the common room, ignoring the looks and comments. Most people she had talked to knew where she was going. She just grinned and continued walking until she was outside, heading towards Hogsmeade. Her nerves were only getting worse the closer she got. The weeks following the night by the waterfall had been slightly strange. It was different talking to him now. It was no longer her hiding it. They knew how the other felt but neither furthered it until their date which meant that it was also slightly awkward. They had already kissed yet they didn't do more, they didn't even discuss it. She stood outside Hogs Head. There weren't many options for a date in Hogs Head, this seemed the best choice. She took a deep breath before pushing the door open, suddenly wishing she'd gone with jeans in the early spring night. Her eyes looked around the room until they landed on the handsome Fey boy. She grinned and walked over, sliding into the chair opposite his. She almost felt shy which was nothing like her. It was just so surreal to be on a date with the one guy she had always had a thing for. She would never have thought this would happen. Ever. "Hey." She said, still confident but lacking her usual forwardness. [/size]

Orion shifted from foot to foot as he waited for his date to arrive at the Hogs Head that early Spring evening, he was dressed casually but he still pulled it off with a little bit of class with his hair perfectly styled and his clothes made to fit his body to a T. He was nervous though, this was his date with Savannah a fellow Ravenclaw and seventh year who he had been fancying for a while now but had never had the courage to say anything to her, until...well, until they had snuck out that night a few weeks back. They had been down by the waterfall just having a grand old time then Savannah had kissed him and everything had been thrown out into the open. He had stopped her from leaving by telling her his feelings and asking her out. Unfortunately, their timing was terrible as not even a day later did the news break of a Death Eater attack on the Ministry and their leader Kingsley Shacklebolt was dead. Orion couldn't believe it, he had been a big supporter of Shacklebolt because he was pro muggles (although of course he kept that opinion from his father and siblings), and Orion thought the work the older man had been doing to merge the two societies had been brilliant but of course, now with his demise impossible. There was no way this new Dark Lord was going to accept muggles and wizardings living together in peace. There was just no chance. Orion was already inside the establishment, having grabbed a table for the two of them but he was so nervous his feet were tapping on the wooden floor boards, his fingers drumming on the table top. It had been a while since Orion had been on a date, his last proper girlfriend had been last year and they had broken it off silently because of the fact that if his family were to find out she would have been in terrible, having been a muggleborn girl. It was funny though, that it was Savannah of all people that he was taking out on a date, he had known her for 7 years and he had never seen her in any other light than a friend until recently. But for whatever reason, Orion was just glad to be able to take her out. Seeing her enter he rose, his smile genuine and happy as he wiped his hands on the back of his jeans, trying to get them to stop them from sweating. "Hey Savannah," he said with his usual sweet smile, just standing there not knowing what else to do before his brain seemed to finally kick in and he was moving around the table to pull out her chair. "M'lady," he said jokingly but he felt awkward because he probably looked like a real idiot right now, so he just waited for her to sit before pushing her chair in and moving back around to his side. "So, the long awaited date..." Orion said, handing Savannah a menu as he began to read his own menu from the table.

Savannah smiled to herself as Orion pulled out her chair, giggling slightly at his words before sitting, letting him push her in before watching him walk around to his own side. She looked at him, chewing her lips subconsciously as her nerves still played inside her stomach. His comment didn't settle her ease as she took the menu. She looked down, skimming it with her eyes. She was doing it more as a formality than anything else, she knew the menu, she knew what she was ordering, she had eaten here many times, with friends and on dates. She placed her menu down and smiled at him.
"It was only a few weeks, we didn't have to wait too long." She said, almost feeling like they were in a high class restaurant and she should have champagne in her hand. Of course that was just her imagination coming forward. She had never experienced the rich life so she couldn't even picture a fancy restaurant if she wanted to. "Are we really going to make this awkward?" She asked, giggling slightly though it was forced.
She hated that it was awkward. They had never been awkward before. It felt strange and she didn't like it. She was just so nervous because it was the first date she'd been on where she actually cared about the outcome. Usually she just went for fun but she wanted a shot with Orion and now she was worried she would screw it up. He was a highly sought after male and she had no idea how she had managed to snag him.
"At least we can be sure none of your fans will be here with us." She teased, referring to the group of younger girls who seemed to fawn over Orion and had taken to giving her death glares in the hallway.

"Yeah but it's been a pretty eventful few weeks, still can't believe what happened..." Orion said with a frown, it really was something disturbing. As a student at Hogwarts in your very first year you begin to learn about the Dark Lord Voldemort and the terror he had reigned on England. Now that another Dark Lord was rising, Orion wasn't sure how to feel about that since so far, nothing good had come from this. He wasn't a supporter of the dark side, much to his family and father's dislike. Orion would like to think of himself as stuck in the grey, he didn't really want to have anything to do with the war and he'd much rather stay neutral.
His family however, he was sure would have other ideas, lord knows his father. Orion dreaded when he'd have to go home and be subjected to his father's beatings and brainwashing. He'd never give into them though, Orion stood fast with his beliefs, and his admiration and adoration of muggles and their inventions, even if his father disproved Orion loved it (although he kept it to himself mostly) and he wasn't going to change that, for anything. "Us, awkward? Never," he teased back, glad that her words had shaken him from this thoughts, he'd rather not be thinking of his father when he was out on a date.
He read through his menu, settling on just having a chicken burger and a lemonade, he wasn't really one for being fancy even if people thought so due to his name and appearance. If you asked Orion what his favourite food was he'd tell you a kebab. People soon learned that Orion was vastly different from the image people would have of him, he wasn't high class and snobby like his family name would suggest, but he was easy going and friendly, and loved to play muggle music and eat strange foods, not wine and dine. He just was a normal guy, and that's all he had ever wanted to be.
"I would hope not, because Miss Prefect here would be giving out detentions and deducting points no doubt," he said with a grin, waving over a waiter who shuffled over and gruffly asked them what they wanted to order. He looked to Savannah first, urging her to order to which, once she did he said, "lemonade and chicken burger, extra cheese please."
Folding his arms across the table he leant back, looking around the rather dark room, it was the Hog's Head after all, what had he been expecting? Maybe if there was some music playing, or a little more candle light then this might just be a tad bit more romantic. "So what have you been up to? Studying no doubt?" he asked.
