Rose had done a long shift the night before so by the time she woke up Kable and Melody were gone. She woke with an uneasy stomach and sighed. She hated it when working so late threw her body out. It had been 5 in the morning when she got home, two hours later than she had hoped. It had been an extremely busy night with a lot of fights, drunks and vomit. She walked around feeling uneasy before deciding some food would change it. She walked to the kitchen, wearing one of Kable's shirt and some underwear and nothing else. She wondered if her husband would be back for lunch.
It was nice to finally be able to call him her husband. It had been a few months now but it still never got old in her mind. She got to the kitchen and opened the pantry and the sight of food caused her to throw up then and there. She looked at the mess on the ground in horror. She quickly ran and got her wand, she got rid of it with a spell, not bothering to do it by hand. She closed the pantry doors before she could see anymore food and and rushed to the bathroom. What the hell? She was tired but that was no excuse for throwing up.
When she realised it was going to happen against she went to bed and lay there with a frown on her face. Why would she just throw up once? If she was sick than surely she would throw up again but she was starting to feel better already. She hadn't drunk so she wasn't hung over. She frowned and rubbed her stomach, knowing that it always made her feel better. She closed her eyes and let her mind drift, thinking it would just be one of those life things. I really feel like Chinese, she thought before her eyes flashed open. There was only one time in her life she had ever craved Chinese food.
She shot out of bed and ran to the bathroom where old pregnancy tests were stored. She had glad to find she had three, better safe than sorry. She drank as much water as she could and then started them. Her eyes widening at what they did. She then decided she wanted magic to be sure. She made a potion, glad they still had the ingredients. She did that one and once again it shocked her. She got dressed quickly and soon was at St Mungos. She had to know how far. She found Katy and soon she was in the room.
She couldn't believe this. This couldn't be happening. Well it could be. She wasn't upset, she was just shocked. She couldn't believe when Katy told her she was one month along already. One month? She had to think back a month but nothing stirred her memory. She realised that she'd wasted most of the day and she needed to go pick up Mel. She left, thanking Katy and making her promise not to tell anyone. She went to Mel's daycare and picked her up, smiling and laughing with her daughter though her mind was still racing. They walked home and Kable was already there.
"Mel can you go to your room." She asked with a small smile and watched as her blonde daughter ran off with a laugh. She walked over to the counter opposite her husband and leaned against it. "Hey baby, how was work? I was thinking, we should have Chinese for dinner tonight." She said, wondering if he would pick up on her no so subtle indication of what was going on.
