Kyle was wondering aimlessly, his mind lost to the thoughts from the other day. He had spent most of the afternoon and night talking with Byron and it had left the younger boy even more confused about himself then he had before. It was official now, Kyle was most definitely gay as a bloody rainbow, but it had left him even more scared than he had been. What was he supposed to do about it, he was so afraid of what his family would think of him because of it, would they hate him? Would his friends not hang out with him anymore if he told them? Kyle was unsure, he saw that Byron was perfectly happy and that his Captain and the Beater Noah from the house team were happy, but still, Kyle was young and was afraid, he couldn't help it.
Kyle was shaken from his thoughts when he realised how cold it had gotten and, looking around him he noticed where he was, which was the Dungeons. He shouldn't really be here, not unless he wanted to run into Slytherin's and be subjected to their "Puff, Puff, fluffy huffy hufflepuffs" chant which was stupid if you asked Kyle, Slytherin's really needed to have their heads checked with the stupid calls they invented.
Pushing open the door Kyle looked around, he recognised the room from the odd Halloween party that they had here in the past, this was the Party room and looking about all the furniture was covered in white sheets. The large open area in the middle of the room was obviously the dance floor, and seeing a fireplace by the far wall Kyle made his way over, his footsteps echoing out into the huge hall. Pulling off the sheet from a plush velvet couch, coughing slightly at the dust which was thrown into the air from the sheet.
Once the air settled down and Kyle could breath again he went over to the fireplace, rummaging around his pockets for some parchment to which he transfigured (with a lot of concentration) back to its original form of small logs. Putting them behind the grill he used his want to light the wood and, moving back to the couch settled himself in and left himself to his thoughts.

Molly had been sitting her room, doing nothing important or special when the other girls had come in, It wasn't often they decided to come in to the bedroom with no reason. usually they spent their time roaming the castle, flirting with boys or sitting in the common room, staring at the older boys in awe. Molly had never found that to be fun and was often teased about it. So when they walked in she shrunk back as far as she could, hoping they'd just leave her there to read, But of course that was never the case. She finished she could go and spend time with Dean but he was in a different house and she didn't want to annoy him.
'Look who it is. The anorexic.' One of them taunted and she just continued to read. Maybe she if she ignored them they would get bored. She thought that every time, it never worked. They were all only 13 yet they were vicious. She knew from experience. They gave her a hard time, they had for the past two years. Only ever when Dean wasn't around. They all thought he was attractive or something. She had never told him that they were cruel though she was sure he knew. 'Cat got your tongue?' Another asked.
Molly snapped her book shut. She wasn't going to sit here. She'd rather sleep in a corridor than just sit here and be laughed at. She quickly ran from the room and out of the common room into the dungeons. She didn't want to go up in to the castle, there was no-where to go. So instead she started walking around the dungeons. she noticed a door open with firelight coming out. She walked over and peered in, wondering who was inside.
She noticed a couch over by the fireplace in the large hall and a familiar mop of hair on it. She grinned and ran in, rushing to the couch where she ran around and sat on it, smiling. This was the only other person other than her brother who she was herself around. In fact she was more herself around Kyle than Dean because Dean was so protective.
"Kyle! Hey! What are you doing here?" She asked, still quiet but speaking more than she had to most people in the two and a half years she'd been there.

Kyle was so lost to his thoughts that he didn't even realise that his friend and housemate Molly Crown was sitting beside him until her happy voice broke through his thoughts, making him jump slightly in surprise. "Molly! Bloody hell, give a bloke some warning when you want to sneak up on him like this, thought you were a Professor when you yelled my name like that!" Kyle said with a laugh as he looked to the girl sitting beside him, patting her on the head, she was in the year below him but they were still the same age so they got on well.
Kyle though, was thankful he'd be turning 14 soon, he wanted to be closer to Byron in everything, even age. Maybe then he wouldn't feel like Byron was avoiding him cause he was too young. Byron was so nice to him, how could Kyle not help but blush around the older male, it was slightly ridiculous. "I was just wondering and found this place, pretty nice right?" Kyle replied with a grin, "how have you been Mol?"

Byron wasn't avoiding Kyle Elwood. No. It was more of strategically planning where Kyle would end up throughout the day and making sure their paths didn't cross. He wasn't avoiding. However, when Kyle entered the common room and Byron would escape to the Boys dorm, he could see how one would think he was avoiding the younger boy. But it wasn't Kyle's fault, and By hoped the younger boy understood. As soon as he could be in the same room with Kyle without having thoughts of snogging the hell out of him, Byron would be able to befriend the boy again. He couldn't help it, the boy was thirteen and the thoughts that ran through Byron's head made him feel disgusting.
So here the young man was, carefully checking around each corner for any sign of the Elwood boy and walking ahead when he knew the coast was clear. He had thought he heard Kyle's voice and he panicked, slipping into the nearest door and shutting it with a careful sigh. There was no way the younger brunette would think of entering the party room. He ran his fingers through his hair and turned around before he felt his jaw slack a little.
Of course, it would just so happen that Kyle was in the room Byron had used to avoi-strategically plan where Kyle would end up and make sure their paths didn't cross. He had been in conversation with a young girl and Byron silently thanked her. This girl could be his scapegoat. "Er, sorry. I didn't mean to barge in like that. I'll just be going..."

Kyle knew Byron had been avoiding him as of late, every chance he saw the older male he conveniently disappeared from sight. It was good though, for Kyle as well since he would only bite his lip and blush and run away himself. He didn't know how to face the older boy after their little meeting in the common room that day, it had been an off chance that they had even spoken but Kyle had confessed, out loud for the first time that he was gay, and to practically a complete stranger at that too. It was strange, but Kyle felt as if he could trust Byron even though they had only spoken a handful of times in the past.
He was glad Molly was here, he liked Molly, she was nice. The Hufflepuff knew about what some of the other girls would say about her, and many a times had Kyle comforted her when the presence of the other Crown sibling was unavailable. Kyle would do his best though to be Molly's friend, he knew that he was going to be there for her, whenever she needed him.
As a new voice sounded out in the room Kyle recognised it instantly, practically jumping out of his skin in fright as he toppled over the couch onto the hard marble floor of the party room, letting out a hiss as he felt his tailbone hit the floor. He felt like such a fool, yet again, and his cheeks were already bright red with his embarrassment. Why was he always making a fool of himself before Byron, it wasn't fair. Someone upstairs was having his fun with Kyle, making his life simply miserable in the boy department. Why couldn't Kyle just act normal...
He winced again, sitting up on the floor as he felt his back, dusting his pants off with the white dust balls which had formed from the disuse of the room, running his hand through his hair as he avoided the eye contact of the other boy in the room, coughing slightly to hide the fact that he had just indeed fallen off the couch.
