Arlyn didn't know what to do with himself, he was just sitting around on his ass and drinking. He knew he shouldn't be like this, the house was a mess and the fridge was empty. The kids were sleeping over at his brother's again, they seemed to be doing that more and more these days. Arl knew that his brothers were worried about him, hell both of them were busy and influential men who had more than enough money strapped to the inside of their pockets than was necessary. They were happy to watch the kids for Arlyn, they knew that he was having a tough time with all of this, they just didn't know exactly how tough that's all.
Dressing, wincing as he had to pull the heavy duty dragon hide boots onto his lame leg, Arl stood and faced the mirror in the bedroom. He had to admit he looked as good as he had in weeks, it wasn't like he left the house much but tonight he decided he might as well. It was a good chance for him to get out and meet some people, it'd do him some good he hoped. Fumbling in his pockets for the small blue bottle he popped the plastic lid and shook out a handful of the small white pills, throwing back his head as he dry swallowed them, hoping they'd kick in soon as he didn't want to spend the night in pain.
Apparating from their house to Magical London Arlyn joined the line at the club, the people around him stared as he walked past with his obvious limp. He probably looked quite out of place, an old man going to a young area club. But truthfully, it was only because if Arl dared to go to another bar he'd probably pass out in the back alley of the place like last time. At least at a club there was a chance he'd score himself a girl and he could just take her to the motel across the road and do what he liked then pay for the room and leave. He just wanted some comfort for once...
Finally when it was his turn to enter into the club he shuffled in, the loud music hitting him instantly. The darkness of the room had him blinking a few times to adjust to the light, and spotting the bar over to the side of the room he made his way through the crowd towards the bar. Ordering a drink he slipped into one of the stools, just looking about aimlessly. Once he was handed his drink he downed it, gesturing for a refill as he began his usual routine.
