Oliver sat in the dark, one candle lighting the large room he was in. The bar was where he sat, the restaurant empty behind him. He had a bottle of fire whiskey sitting next to him and an empty glass. He was down here more often than he would like. It brought back all the memories when when he hated Chase, when he had thought she had abandoned him for money. He had sat down here often, drowning himself in alcohol. He hadn't thought he'd be back here so soon after finding Chase. In fact he hadn't thought he'd be back to this ever. He had thought his life was back on track. However life seemed to hate him, fate was cruel. There was an upside and that was the small boy asleep in his bed on the top floor.
Oliver hadn't realised how hard it would be to have Chase around all the time. How he would have to put on such a facade around her. The rest of the staff were so supportive and amazing, helping him whenever they could. He was going to throw a dinner for them, make it all himself or something. They all deserved it. He poured himself another glass and sighed, resting his head on the cool bar surface. He just needed a break from all the pain it was, having his love so close yet not being able to touch her.
He was distracted from his self pity when he heard someone walk in to the restaurant. It was out of bounds for guests at this night, charms were put in place so they couldn't get through. That meant it was someone on the staff. He hoped to Merlin it wasn't Chase. He couldn't handle it in this moment. He turned and looked in to the darkness not being able to see who it was. When finally, a figure emerged from the shadows he let out a relieved sigh and turned back to the bar, knowing she would probably join him. She had been in this exact position before.
"It's been a while since we've been in this position hasn't it?" He said with dark humour lacing his voice.
