It had been a while since Rosie had seen Layne. She was use to it however, they often went a while between seeing each other. The last time she had seen him they had become official. She hadn't slept with anyone else and she had to wonder if he had. She trusted him though, she knew even asking her to be with him was proof enough he cared. He didn't do that. He was Layne Chambre. However she still had to wonder if he could give up his ways, especially when they hadn't seen each other since. It had been a few weeks at least. But there was a war brewing and they were both caught up in it. She had been more and more involved in the pack and doing anything she could to help. It seemed Alana must have put in a good word for her because Rainer had been giving her jobs. Trusting her with tasks. She had done them all with no problems and now she had her first major one. She was to assassinate one of the important people from the muggle government. It was going to be fun. She had killed people before but only in battle, never in cold blood. She was a bit nervous but she was trying to just imagine them her prey. It was also the full moon and she had wolfsbane for that night when she was to get home. So she stood on the muggle street, looking at the building in front of her. It was extremely tall, 30 stories or so. She would have to make her way to the top without the elevator as she was going to cut the power. The man she was after was on the top floor. She had a free pass to kill anyone she wanted on the way up. She had a dagger tucked in to the back of her shorts. No magic was going to be used here. Not by her. She started crossing the street, getting shocked looks by the busy crowds at what she was wearing in the cold weather. Shorts and a crop top with high heels. She pushed the door open and walked in, her heels making noise. She realised she would need music, she didn't want anyone entering the building. She was glad she was over age. She turned to the doors, pulled out her wand and muttered and spell on the front doors. She grinned as someone tried to walk through and they didn't budge. She turned and walked to reception. She smiled innocently at the receptionist who was looking at the doors with curiosity. "Is the government meeting on the top floor?" She asked. Of course she knew she wouldn't get a reply. She just blinked with innocent eyes as the woman frowned and started ranting on about how she knew of no such thing happening here. She was in the right place. "Thank you." She said as she started walking towards a staff only door. She needed to cut the power, it would work in her advantage. She opened the door and heard a yell as someone spotted her. She walked over, feeling nerves take her over. This was it, her first cold blood kill. She took a deep breath before lunging forward and snapping the mans neck. He fell with a thud and adrenaline rushed through her. She was a monster but she.. kind of liked it. She walked into the power room, pushing the door open only to stop and stare at the person already in there. "What the fuck are you doing here?" She asked in shock and fear. He couldn't be here. Why was he here? She had a mission to do. She didn't want him to see her be a monster. Then she noticed the body with a pool of blood around the head. She looked from the body to Layne with a raised eyebrow. Why was he here? Outfit

Since Layne had assisted Liam in killing that family, he had looked at his son with a sense of pride. A look that he had yearned for Liam to give him for so long, years before he even knew who his father was. No one had ever looked at him with pride or told him they proud of him. It made Layne want to do anything to continue getting praise from his father. When Liam asked him to go kill a muggle world government official, Layne complied. How could he not when Liam asked so nicely? Layne had thrown on the first pair of clothes he saw before he put on his leather jacket. He would admit that he was nervous going alone, what if he was caught? No one would be there to save him and he couldn't use magic outside of Hogwarts. He had to take a deep breath to steady himself. He could do this. He had charmed his way through the building, giving smiles and compliments as he slowly found out just where this official was. He needed to get the power cut first, otherwise, everyone would see him coming. Layne had made his way up to the power room and began to fiddle with the box when he heard a voice. "You're not supposed to be in here! What do you think you're doing?" It was an older gentleman. A janitor Layne assumed. He apologized to him as the janitor came closer. As soon as he was within grabbing distance, Layne slammed his head against the cement wall, cracking the skull and instantly killing the man. He tossed his body to the floor before he began to work on the lights. First floor down. Second floor. Third floor. When another voice sounded, he looked up with an annoyed glance. Really? Two people to interrupt him? Couldn't this just go smoothly? He was shocked when he realized that the voice belonged to his girlfriend, Rosie. What the hell was she doing here. "I could ask you the same question," he told her, nonchalantly. His eyes gazed to the dead body and he panicked, oh god. What if she hated him? But his father was so proud. Outfit

Rosie stared at Layne. He had killed the man on the ground, the pool of blood left no doubt in her mind he was dead. And Layne was the only culprit. he couldn't use magic which meant he had done it like she had, with his bare hands. She could see the flash of fear in his eyes as he realised she knew. He was worried of what she'd think. She looked at the body again, he was elderly, probably just a janitor. Rosie looked back at Layne and realised he was turning the power off. Her eyes narrowed. Why would he be in here, turning the power off. He had to be here for a reason and she knew what that had to be.
Her eyes widened only slightly when she realised he was here for the same reason. That had to be it. There was no other reason, at all, that Layne would be in this building, in muggle London, turning off the power. She smiled innocently, there was no way he was going to do this mission. It was hers and she planned on carrying it out. She couldn't let him know why she was here though. She needed a head start. She could leave while he was doing the power, get to the top a lot faster. She was more fit than he was by far.
"I got lost on my way to pick up a package for Rainer, came here to get directions then heard yelling so came to see what it was. You know how curious I get. I can't believe you killed someone." She said, knowing that he'd probably be angry at her alter for pulling this card but she needed a better reason to leave than just walking away. "I can't, I can't be in here with that body." She said as she turned and left the room. As soon as she heard the door click shut she was sprinting. She hoped he'd forgive her for that one but she wanted this.
She got to the security door that lead to stairs to go up but realised it was locked. She hissed and turned to the body, rushing back, hoping Layne didn't come out. She patted him down for his keys and just as she grabbed them the door opened. She looked at her boyfriend, a sheepish grin on her face. She was so busted. her own dead body was at her feet as she knelt with his keys in her hands.
"Baby I can explain." She said with a small grin. This was rather exciting. She was getting caught up in the adrenaline rush and her eyes shined with the challenge of beating Layne. She hoped he didn't yell at her or hate her for this but she was competitive at heart and she wanted to win. She stared at him for a few seconds before her eyes slowly slid to the door and then back to him. Time seemed to still for a moment before she bolted. She had to run past him before she could get to the door.

Layne knew from the minute she opened her mouth that the reason she was there was a lie. A package? For Rainer? Here? It was highly unlikely and he was almost ashamed that she couldn't lie better than that under pressure. However, when she expressed her disbelief at the body, his heart seemed to crumble in his very chest. "Rosie...I...I..." He started before she told him she couldn't be with the body. Layne stood there in silence for a moment and he could hear Liam's words in his head, his threats. He had to finish the job off anyway. With light, or without them. But first, he needed to make sure his girlfriend still loved him.
When he walked out of the light room, he watched as she pat down a body. A dead body. She was molesting a body that she killed. Her! Didn't she understand how it confused him to take another life? How he was elated and terrified at what he did? How dare she simply act as if she was horrified and then turn around and do the same.
"Bitch," he snarled at her, his chest swelling with fury. He knew what she was here for. She was here to take his job. And if she killed his target, he would be black and blue for months. There was no way in hell that he would let her take it from him.
When she bolted, Layne sprinted after her. He grabbed her wrist and spun her to him. He pinned her to the wall and pressed himself up against her, he kissed her long and hard before he bit and nipped at her neck. "You know what they say, right, Rosie?" He leaned close to her ear before he huskily whispered, "All's fair in love and war."
Then the Chambre boy took off at the speed of light, taking the stairs two at a time. Once he reached the door, he thrust it open before he slammed it shut, jabbing a chair beneath so she couldn't get through. They had 25 more flights to climb before the reached the target. If Layne could just keep her occupied, then he would be in the safe zone.

Rosie bit her lip as Layne called her a bitch. He sounded extremely angry. She had known he would be. She had played his emotions. She knew what he thought about killing people, about being bad. He was the same as her yet she was now running on adrenaline, She wasn't currently thinking about the dead body at her feet. Instead she was staring at her boyfriend, calculating his every move. She didn't want him to hate her. She didn't want this to be there end but she needed to do this. This was her first proper, proper mission and she wanted to complete it.
Yet as she ran he chased her, she only managed to unlock the door with the keys before he grabbed her and forced her up against the wall. He kissed her and as always she melted under it because no one kissed like Layne did. she moved to his neck and she cursed herself for loving his lips on her skin. She was so going to get him back for this. As he whispered she looked up at him, her eyes glistening with lust and excitement. Then with his last sentence a grin broke across her lips and she knew as he took off that this was suddenly a competition. He didn't hate her and he was trying to beat her as well.
She bolted behind him though he had a head start. He was fast, not as fast as her though, he didn't have as much stamina either. Especially since it was a full moon that night and she was close to being her wolf. However when she reached the door she ran into it. She growled when she realised he'd jammed it some how. She looked at the door and tried running in to it again before glaring around her. No, she would not get stuck on the fifth floor. She looked around and found a window. She smashed the glass and then looked up, noticing a window open a few floors up. She could definitely make that. She could always use magic if she couldn't.
Rosie pulled herself out the small window, sucking in as much as she could. She sat on the window sill before pulling herself up. The window sills offered good gripping places though it would be a stretch. If she died she hoped Layne would feel bad. This was definitely his fault. She started climbing, slowly at first but that didn't matter. She would own him when she got up there. She got more confident and soon she was through the window. A surprised elderly woman let out a surprised squeal but she ignored her, running through and opening the hall to get to the doorway. She saw Layne turning a corner.
She had to wonder why he wasn't still on the staircase but it didn't matter. She chased him and when she was close enough she leaped forward, forcing him down on to the ground as she landed on him. She sat on his back and lent forward, her mouth going next to his ear. She grinned and let her hands go up to his shoulders, massaging them slightly.
"Oh baby, really? You think you can get there before me? I am a werewolf, that makes me stronger and faster than you. I'm also sexier. It's okay, you can just sit here and wait." She said with a grin. "Oh, and I'm really sorry baby." She said before she elbowed him hard in the back, knowing it would wind him and make it hard for him to get up quickly. She then kissed his check and jumped up, rushing back towards the stair case.
Once she got to the staircase she started running up them, two at a time with a grin on her face. She knew it wouldn't stop Layne for long. She had to run. She still had the keys in her pocket and that meant she could lock doors. She got to the tenth floor, by that time she could hear Layne on the stairs. She shut the door and locked it, ignoring the looks she was getting from all the surrounding muggles. She then put the keys back in her pocket, no doubt Layne would find a way around it.

Layne had been sure that he was going to beat Rosie. There was no way she would have gotten past his door unless she smashed through it, although he wouldn't put it past her. He ran, dodging and jumping over things that came into his way. Soon though, he found himself pinned to the ground with someone on top of him, he hissed as he hit the ground. "Motherfucker that hurt like a bitch!" he growled before he heard Rosie's voice in his ears.
He tried to wiggle her hands off her when she touched him. That was the last thing he wanted her doing. "I can hold my own against you," he snapped before he smirked to himself. "Sexier? I could beg to differ. I'm sure Lucien would agree on that one." His blow was low and shallow, but he couldn't very well hit his girlfriend physically so he would hit her where it hurt, emotionally. "Now get offa me."
He started to rise beneath her when she apologized and he rose an eyebrow. Then her elbow slammed into his back and the wind was knocked out of him. He rolled onto his back as he fell flat on the ground. He wheezed for a few minutes before he sat up, panting as he regained his breath. Then he sprinted up the stairs to the door, screaming in rage when it was locked. He slammed his foot against the door and clenched his hands into fists.
Then the door swung open and a relatively attractive woman was revealed. Layne smirked at her, "Thanks, beautiful. You just saved my life. Happen to see a girl run around here?"
Her cheeks were red at Layne's compliment as she pointed to the way in which Rosie ran. He was about to take off when he turned to the girl. Her lipstick was bright red, good. It would piss off Rosie even more. He quickly pressed the woman up against the wall gave her what would perhaps be the best snog of her life. When he pulled away and was sure of the red lipstick smears on his lips, he smirked again at the woman. "Thanks, love. I'll be sure to call down to you if I need your help again."
Then off he went sprinting and taking places he prayed were shortcuts. He thanked the heavens he played Quidditch otherwise he wouldn't be nearly fit enough to run like this. When he heard nearing footsteps, he leaned against the wall, his arms crossed. When he was sure she was about to pass in her haste, he stuck out his foot to catch her by surprise and trick her. "Getting a bit sluggish, are we? Wow. And I really thought you had me beat there for awhile."

Rosie was pissed. That comment had hit her where it hurt. She had felt some satisfaction when she had knocked all the air out of Layne. He knew that despite the fact Rosie had never met the girl Lucien, she knew that he had loved her and they were close. She knew that if she ever met Lucien, she would hate her and vice versa. They were never going to get along because Rosie was always going to be threatened by Layne's first love. If he was going to get dirty then so was she. She had narrow eyes as she ran around. She knew he was catching up.
She decided to let him pass her. That way she could think of something to get her back. She hid in the closest door which happened to be the male bathroom. There was a guy there who froze on her entry. She debated killing him but decided against it. She winked at him and held a finger to his lips. He was youngish and relatively good looking for a muggle. He nodded, confusion written over his face. She felt sorry for the poor soul. Then she heard the footsteps run past and she gave him a cheeky grin before opening the door and bolting out. She started running until she saw him but it was too late to stop. She tripped over his foot but being elegant she did a forward roll and stood, spinning to look at him.
Then her eyes landed on his lips as he spoke and her eyes narrowed at the red around them. They then went to his eyes and she knew what he'd done. He was trying to make her angry. He couldn't abuse her like she could to him so he was trying to make her angry, put her game off. She had to admit, it was sneaky and good thinking on his half. She walked towards him, a confident smirk growing on her lips as she reached him, placing a hand on his shoulder as if she pitied him. she then wiped her lips and nodded towards the bathroom as the young male came out, doing up his zip. It couldn't have been more perfect timing.
"You have your ways, I have mine." She said with a shrug before leaning in and whispering, "I've already won baby." This time she went all for it, reading down and rubbing the front of his jeans. She didn't kiss him put she pushed her body up against his and let out a breathy moan in his ear. She knew that her sounds drove him crazy. She then winced to herself before she did, knowing that he was going to hate her for this one and she made sure not to use full strength as her knee came up and connected where her hand had just been.
She then turned and ran, getting to the corner and stopping to turn back and look at him, genuine care and worry flitting across her face before she smirked again. "What did you say again? All's fair in love and war." And she was gone, sprinting. She made it to the stairs on the opposite side, using the other flight of them and just running. This time she wasn't going to stop off, she was just going to go. She was worried that maybe she'd gone to far but when she heard the door below smash open, echoing around the stairs she bit her lip as she kept running, slightly scared now because he was not going to be happy.

Layne was proud of himself and the way he got Rosie all riled up. She made it so easy for him to distract her, although that seemed to just be part of the Chambre charm. She came up to him and he swore he saw flames in her eyes as she looked at his lips. Then she wiped her own mouth and he rose a confused brow at her. As his lips parted to ask a question, a man left the bathroom, zipping his fly and looked embarrassed.
Had Rosie-? Oh God. "That's fucking disgusting," he seethed. She leaned into him and Layne backed away until he was against the wall. He certainly enjoyed her for a moment, in fact, he was beginning to think that this kill could wait another day. That was until he pushed her hand away from his family jewels and hissed, "I know where those hands have been. Don't touch me with your filthy muggle-felt hands,"
She made a breathy moan in his ear and Layne went to wrap his arm around her until a pain so extreme shattered everything. As he fell to his knees, clutching himself, he watched as she ran from him. Layne made loud, pained groans as he fell to his side, squeezing his eyes shut.
This was so much worse than his father getting angry. He would take that over this any day. He wanted to scream, to yell at Rosie but he could barely breathe as it was. The bitch. It didn't even matter now, getting to the man. Rosie could have him for all he cared, what would it stop Liam anyway? Nothing would stop Liam after Ellie left him.
Layne rolled over so his face was touching the ground, his forehead against the cool, smooth cement. He was going to kill Rosie if he ever saw her again. He took in a deep breath and tried to pull himself together, tried to push the pain to the back of his head. Either way, it was going to be a long while until he could get up and stand, let alone limp.
He wasn't sure how long he laid on that ground before he attempted to stand. The pain was unbearable and Layne just about fell again. If he didn't get to the man in time, he at least wanted his fingers around Rosie's neck. He took a deep breath with each step he took until he came to the door, blasting it open with raw magic. He began his long journey of limping up the stairs before he just couldn't bear to move anymore.
He collapsed as he met the next platform and rolled over onto his back. He was breathing hard, with one hand clenched into a fist and the other digging into his leg, trying to make him forget about the other pain and focus on something else. He fucking hated Rosie Yule. That was for sure. No one kicked Layne Chambre and got away with it.

Rosie ran with everything she had. The further away she got, the more guilt she felt. She knew Layne was somewhere on the stairs. She highly doubted he would be running at her speed but the thought of him catching her literally had her shaking. She had hurt him where it mattered most. Layne was a ladies man and his family jewels was his most prized possession. She hadn't used enough force to damage them , she could have done a lot worse but she doubted he'd ever felt pain down there before because he would ever want to hurt his precious dick. So this would be a new experience for him, feeling that pain.
She wondered if she'd just ruined their relationship? On one angle, she was probably one of the very few girls brave enough to do that to him. A lot of females wanted to she was sure but they would definitely not have the guts. They would probably end up with it inside them again before their knee made contact. Layne was a very intimidating character when he wanted to be. The only time she had ever been afraid of him was when she had hurt Raven. She had never meant to of course but she had and now she had done the one thing he might even consider worse than hurting his twin sister. She was screwed.
She reached the floor and lent against the wall, her breathing heavy though it was more from fear than the run. She was incredibly fit, being a werewolf in the woods came with that. She couldn't hear running behind her and she only assumed he had either left, collapsed somewhere or was running so fast that she couldn't hear him. She could almost feel his hands on her neck and she gulped before pushing off the wall and opening the door to the floor. She walked in and pulled the knife out from under her shirt. She walked with it, hearing people let out gasps at the sight of her.
Sh saw the conference room and grinned, trying to focus on the fact she had won and would kill the man she meant to. She might have lost the man she loved in the process but for now she couldn't think about that. She suddenly remembered the red around his lips and she felt the guilt drain slightly. He had kissed another woman. She had feigned being with another man. Of course he probably wouldn't believe her. Overall her skin was itching to kill this man, she was desperately hoping Layne didn't hate her and her wolf was clawing insider her because she knew tonight was a full moon.
She burst in to the conference room where all the men and one woman in business suits looked up startled and then in panic. She grinned, her eyes going to the man at the end of the table. He was her target. She stalked forward and sliced at people who tried to come near her of run away. She never took her eyes off him. He tried to get out of his chair and she rushed forward, her hands pushing down on his shoulders to keep him in it. The others had all run out. She was surprised there was no security though they were probably on their way.
"You caused me a lot of trouble. It seems multiple people want you dead and I had to beat up my boyfriend to get here first. If he kills me because of what I did, I will be very angry. I would say I'd kill you but I'm already going to do that," she said with a hiss in her voice, whispering it into his ear.
She brought the knife to his neck and and sliced it across his skin so crimson covered the silver blade and she stood back, watching the body slump forward as he made an effort to make noise before the life left him. She couldn't bring herself to smile as she watched lie on the table, the blood pooling on the white carpet beneath them. She stood there for a few seconds too long because someone appeared in the doorway and she looked up with wide eyes. This was it. She needed to run.
