Pandora was sitting outside of the Ministry. It had been thrust into chaos as soon as the Dark Lord had left. He had spoken to her, directly to her. Dora could remember every single word he had said to the crowd and it chilled her to her very bone. The chaos had begun to be controlled but everyone was in shock about what had happened, she as well. In fact, the young woman was struggling to keep herself together. She would be the first to break the news to the world that the Minister was dead and the new Dark Lord had been revealed. She bent over and gripped her head, stuggling to not scream out loud for all of the emotions she felt. Tears threatened to fall but she refused to let herself break down in public, she didn’t want to be in the papers herself. The Daily Prophet had awarded her the privilege of reporting on all of the news that came with this rising, right now it was a privilege she wished would go away. Her heart was racing and her breathing was faster, it was only a matter of time before she would hypervenilate and thrust herself into a full-blown panic attack. She had owled Dylan earlier, pleading with him to come out from where ever he was and get her. She needed him right now. Since their night at the park, Pandora had wanted to stay close with the boy, become friends. Through corresponding letters and occasional visits together, Dora had reached that. She only hoped he would come to her today. Dora needed someone to escort her home and stay with her awhile, and at this rate she could barely stand on her own. Her body shook as the scene of the Minister’s death ran through her head over and over again. Her lip quivered and she bit down hard on it. As soon as Dylan got here, she could leave. He would take her home. The blonde stretched her hands out in front of her and watched as they shook fiercely. This image would never get out of her mind. Ever. She heard footsteps behind her and she turned around, hoping the man was Dylan. When she looked up, her mind went into confusion overdrive. This was the very last person that she wanted to see. Not when she was a mess like this. It wasn’t his job to take care of her anymore. Pandora folded her shaky hands into her lap and pursed her lips. ”Don’t worry. I won’t be here much longer.” She told Jacob, her voice weak. She needed to get rid of him, the last thing she needed was to worry about what would go through his mind when Dylan arrived. If Dylan arrived. ”I’ll be okay. I promise.”Outfit || {{ooc: I hope you don‘t mind that I threw Jacob into this. I figured he needed more posts and this could create some drama. Especially if he doesn‘t like Dylan.}}

Jacob couldn't believe it. The Minister was dead, the atrium was a mess with people screaming, crying and running around like headless chickens. Not only that but he had been held with a wand to his throat, thinking he was going to die for a solid minute. He was not happy, in fact he was furious. He had first checked to make sure Scarlett was alright before starting to help out with damage control. He had helped people, make sure people weren't getting trampled and overall tried to calm down the confused and bewildered mob. Everyone was lining up to leave and he couldn't wait until they were gone.
He could see that everything was starting to get under control. He was walking around, monitoring things and watching out for anyone who was either dangerous or needed his help. He noticed and shaking woman and decided to walk over, to see if she needed any help. When she turned around and he saw who it was it shocked him. His eyes widened slowly and his step faltered. He almost wanted to turn and walk away but he knew he couldn't do that. He hadn't seen her since she dropped off the boxes of letters from his brother.
"You take all the time you need." He said, his professional voice still on. When she went to reassure him she was going to be okay he couldn't help but get the feeling she was trying to reassure herself more than him. He hadn't actually asked and if the situation hadn't bee so serious he might have been annoyed she would think he did. Of course however he did care, he would always care for her. She was his first love, the girl he should have married. Of course it could never happen now but that didn't matter.
"Are you waiting for someone or are you just waiting for the lines to shorten?"{/b] He asked before sighing. He couldn't be so uncaring to her. He couldn't treat her like another stranger. "You're shaking Dora.." He said softly as he moved forward and gently placed a hand on her shoulder, moving around to look at her face.

His voice was so professional, it was as if he didn’t care. That was a dagger to Pandora’s heart. She tried to ignore the sting that it left and she moved her eyes away from him, looking forward again. If she wasn’t careful, Jacob was going to be the reason she broke down crying in public. However, it seemed he was always the reason she cried in public. She wrapped her arms around her shaking body and closed her eyes, telling herself to take deep, calming breaths. She was focusing on the silence left between them and the ache that was slowly fading from her heart when he spoke again. What was she supposed to tell him? She didn’t know his thoughts on Dylan Warrick, what if he hated him?
Wait. Why did she care? Dora didn’t care. Jacob’s opinion didn’t matter. It would never matter. Never again. ”I’m waiting for someone. He should be here soon.” Her voice was timid and quiet as she searched the passing faces for Dylan. Where was she? She needed him right now. She wanted him more than anyone. Then, Jacob placed a hand on her shoulder and her heart quickened at the contact. Pandora would always care about Jacob, but it was time for her to move on. And that’s what she was doing. Moving on. Hell, she had already been with someone else. Take it, it was only for a night and she hadn’t been sure what the hell she was doing. Until Pheonix, there hadn’t been another man since Jacob. ”I’m fine.” She repeated when he said she was shaking. She tried to look around him. What was taking Dylan so long? She didn’t want to be around Jacob anymore.

For some reason it bothered Jacob when Dora said she was waiting for someone. It seemed she added on the end comment just so he knew it was another male. The way she was looking around for him frantically meant that this guy was the person she was depending on. The one she had called for a situation like this. The guy she turned to. The reason it bothered him was because he'd never seen her act that way about anyone but him. It had always been him she'd look around for like that, always him she'd be desperate to see. Now it was the opposite.
Of course it had been that way for a while but this was the first time he'd seen that he was no longer the one she depended on. Seeing it with his own eyes changed a lot. He felt that strange emptiness in his chest, the place only a first love can fill, the place that will always remain empty. He knew she didn't really want him there, it was obvious by the way she was acting. When she said she was fine he sighed, she didn't want him here.
"Okay, well I'll leave you to it then.." He said, not wanting to show that he cared all though much. Because he didn't truthfully he didn't. He didn't want her back, he had moved on long ago. Just like she had. He turned to walk away when he saw someone walking towards them, their eyes set on Dora. However it was when he noticed who it was that made his eyes narrow. Dylan Warrick. They had been in the same year at school, he had been a Ravenclaw, top of their year. He was part of a dark, pureblood family and was probably a death eater.
"Warrick? Are you kidding? That's the guy? He's suspected of being a death eater you know. It's not exactly safe for him to be here." He spat, all his professional, or even polite tones of voice gone as he uttered his disgust in her choice.

"Thank you," Pandora muttered quietly before she looked up and her eyes locked with Dylan's. Before one could blink, she stood up, wobbling from the adrenaline, waiting for him to arrive. "Thank God you came, Dyl." She called to him.
When Dylan reached them, Dora threw herself into his arms, hugging herself tightly to him. His embrace had begun to make her feel safe, it was something she hadn't had the comfort of feeling for awhile. "Thank you for coming for me," she murmured as she his her face in his neck. When Jacob's words reached her ears, however, she turned. Suddenly she was defensive of Dylan. Her eyes narrowed, "Dylan has nothing to hide. Because of his family name doesn't mean he has to follow in their footsteps. Could you be any more of a prick? You may have been able to move on, Jacob, but I didn't. And Dylan has been there for me, recently, he's been there a lot more for me than you ever were."
Her body was facing her ex while she arms were still around the Warrick boy. A frown marred her features and she looked up at Dylan, "Let's go. You don't need to stand here and listen to him." Her hand slid down his arm until it was on his hand, her fingers carefully slid into his until they were intertwined. They fit together perfectly and she gave him a reassuring smile, her trembling hand slowly beginning to steady itself.

Dylan had been doing nothing, he didn't want to go to the Minister's speech. He would no doubt read it in the papers the next day, or even hear about from Dora who no doubt would be reporting on it. He knew it was probably not best for him to show his face in the Ministry. So he waited, doing nothing like he did most days. He knew he should probably get a job soon but he really didn't want something where he might bump into his siblings. It had been months now. He hadn't seen or spoken to them in months. he wondered if either of them missed him, or ever thought about him. He doubted it.
Then he got a note and as he read it he stood, suddenly the Ministry was exactly where he wanted to be. Dora was there and she wanted him. He had a bad feeling in his stomach but he ignored it as he dressed appropriately and soon was in the fireplace. As he stepped out of the fireplace he was immediately grabbed and he looked around in confusion. Aurors were yelling questions at him and he answered them. He was merely here to pick up his friend. What was Dora? Was she just a friend? No, Dylan had a thing for her but she was like an angel, she was helping him get through whatever it was he needed getting through.
Eventually he was left and he looked around at the mess. People were crying and some screaming and aurors were running around everywhere. He had no idea how he was going to find Dora. He looked around, trying to figure out what was going on but he really had no idea. He eventually saw her beautiful blonde hair and he made a beeline for her. When he reached her she threw herself in to his arms and he hugged her to him tightly. Whatever it was had upset her. Then he noticed Jacob, her ex. He didn't let go of her as the boy spoke bitterly about him as if he wasn't even there.
He smiled down at Dora as she defended him and he hugged her tightly again, ignoring Jacob in that moment as he looked her in the eye. "Are you okay Dora? What happened here? I'm sorry I took so long, I was questioned and then I couldn't find you," He explained. When she said they should go he smiled and turned to Jacob, deciding he should speak for himself.
"I'll have you know I am not a Death Eater. I hate Death Eaters with a passion. I came here because Dora wanted me to. Thank you for looking after her, I'll take it from here." He said in a polite voice. He didn't want to start a fight, he just wanted to get Dora out of here.

When Dylan hugged her, Pandora felt nothing but comfort and safety. She held him close even as she defended him against Jacob. He had no say in her friendships or her love life anymore. His say stopped when he broke up with her all those years ago. She didn't understand why Jacob even cares that she was friends with Dylan, hadn't they ended whatever relations they had the last time she visited his house?
Dylan looked at her and her heart skipped a beat as he asked if she was okay, "I am now that you're here. Death Eaters got into the speech, they killed the Minister and the Dark Lord came and gave a speech. Goodness, I was so afraid, Dylan." She thought back to when the Dark Lord had spoken directly to her, the power in his voice had instilled the fear of God in her and she was sure she would have nightmares for weeks.
When Dylan turned to talk to Jacob, she gave Dylan's hand a squeeze. When he thanked Jacob for watching her, she bit her lip. That last sentence was going to make Jacob furious. He obviously didn't like the potential friendship between Dylan and Dora and by the way she clung to him, it was obvious that she felt so much more. She rested her head against him and closed her eyes, the chills and tremors ending as Dylan's presence comforted her.
