Kitty had a gig tonight down at The Gypsies Tavern, a shady bar and inn at the bottom of Knockturn Alley, a place that Kitty had frequented a lot when she was at Hogwarts. She did the odd gig here and there, knowing that the owner of the place, Yaxley felt sorry for her. Asshole. She was glad to have the gig, and the money but she hated the sympathy that he tried to give her, or anyone gave her. They all thought she was crazy, maybe she was? She didn't know, and Benny didn't mind either. Kitty could live as long as Benny loved her, that's all she needed.
Benny was her brother, Benjamin had been his name but after Kitty had run away with him she had kept to calling him Benny. Kitty and Benny on their great adventure, that's how she had always seen it. She loved Benny, he was the only one in her life and she didn't need anyone else. Everyone else was fake and liars, no one ever told her the truth and no one ever believed her, over the years Kitty had learnt to just not rely on anyone but herself, and that was all she had needed to survive. She didn't need anyone, not even her parents who she had left behind long ago.
Dressing into her usual outfits, minimal clothing and high heels, bright lips and dark, smokey eyes, her blonde hair pulled back into a high ponytail, the locks falling in messy waves down her back. Her electric guitar in it's care, and the small portable amp she had saved up to buy over time in hand, she grabbed Benny and placed the tiny rugged stuffed bunny under her arm and apparated to Diagon Alley, walking through the dark streets and into Knockturn, giving the old Hag the finger as she tried to sell her some weird creature's junk for potions or something of the likes, not that Kitty really cared for magic. The only times she used magic was to warm herself since her apartment had no heating, start fires since she had no gas, and also to warm the water in the pipes for showers. It was good to be magical since she could live in the shittiest place and still survive. It was better than the streets for sure.
Walking into the establishment Kitty just nodded to Kendall as he stood behind the bar and she moved through the room to the corner where she usually set up, a slightly raised section had been made into a make shift stage. Setting up the cords and pulling out her electric guitar from it's case, Kitty put Benny down on the stool that was placed for her to sit on, since she wasn't going to use it. No, Kitty preferred to stand since she could easily jam with her electric guitar that way, besides her style of playing was a little...aggressive. It was how she had been taught, rock and roll all the way.
With no mike or anything Kitty ignored the people in the room, plugging into the amp she began to strum a familiar tune, probably her most favourite song to play since she could also have a bit of scream time. Looking up with bright blue eyes she stared off into the distance, loosing herself as she always did when she sang, her painted red lips opening as she began to sing. "Sweet dreams are made of this. Who am I to disagree? I travelled the world, and the seven seas. Everybody's looking for something. Some of them want to use you, some of them want to be used by you. Some of them want to abuse you, some of them want to be abused."
Banging her head, turning it from side to side she felt the strumming of the guitar shake her to the core, her eyes closed in the ecstasy of the song. She loved this version of the song, Marilyn Manson was a man to be commended on his take on this song. Soon though, it was all finished and she let out the final note of the song, holding it as she strummed the last chord and then it all fell silent and the applause came. She just smirked, saying in her usual silky soft voice, "more where that came from boys." Slipping off the stage, she took off her guitar and leant it up against the stool, rubbing Benny's ears. "Be back soon hun," she whispered before she walked to the bar, wanting to have a drink before getting back up to sing some more jams.
"Yaxley, rum and coke here," she ordered, waving down the bartender as the silent man nodded, going about to getting her drink leaving Kitty to just tap her fingers against the bar top. Seeing a man staring she just turned to him, her eyes fierce. "Got a problem buddy? Cause I'll kindly ask you to fuck off and stop staring," she seethed out, her sharp tongue and attitude coming from spending her life on the streets.
