The Minister was dead and the world was in complete and utter chaos. Kale had stood in the crowds as he watched the leader he had once been so faithful to be slaughtered. In fact, he had been the one holding Eden so she couldn't help. He had disguised himself as to not be recognized, he knew it was risky but he couldn't stand letting her be touched by someone else. They wouldn't have been gentle, they would have hurt the thing he cared about most. Kale was glad she hadn't recognized him, he would have been ashamed to have her see what he had become. Something he had promised her he would never be.
A Death Eater.
The proof was there, the inky green mark on his forearm. It was a tattoo that Kale was ashamed to bear. He wondered if she had recognized his touch, if something would have sparked in her brain. He had gotten messy lately, often times she would catch him out of his disguise but he would be gone before she reached him. She must have thought he were a ghost or a taunting figment of her imagination.
Kale missed Eden so much. He missed her touch, he yearned for her kiss. He almost gave himself up the day they killed the Minister but she would have surely arrested him(even if it was with a full heart.) He wouldn't have been able to handle seeing the accusation in her eyes. Or the pain that he had broken his promise.
It was their anniversary today. Kale had lost count of how many days he had been without his beautiful Eden. He sat in the gardens, hidden within the wall of buttercups and daisies. He had put on a glamor charm before he arrived so that no one would recognize him, he sat alone in the area, wallowing in self-pity. On a day that should have been filled with happiness, he was filled with despair. Tears filled his eyes and one fell into the palm of his hand, he clenched it into a fist and felt the anger for himself flare. That was until he heard footsteps, he looked up to see the one woman he had waited for. Eden.
He pushed the brown bangs from his hazel eyes, the bright ocean blue would have been a dead giveaway for him. Kale hated being under a Glamor Charm, he rather enjoyed his devilishly handsome looks. He watched her in silent awe, waiting for her to say something, anything.
