Today was the day, the day he had promised to take Corra, Sye and Bray out to the Zoo. The youngest of the Elwood siblings all loved animals, each having their own favourites. Corra loved the artic foxes, Sye the Lions and Bray...well he oohed and ahhed at everything. He was glad he had gotten a muggle car license when he was younger, it made it so much more convenient when he had to look after the kids and travel to Muggle London since, apparating with three was a tad tricky, especially when they squirmed and kicked to try and break free of his hold mid-flight.
With the kids dressed, money, wallet, wand and keys in hand Zac lead the kids to the two door garage which was adjacent to the house, one side filled with all his training and work out gear, the other a large black SUV. Strapping in Brayden into his babyseat, Sye and Corra strapping into their own booster chairs, Zac took a moment to check everything. While he did all this though -grabbing the stroller and putting it in the boot- he quickly called his sister, knowing she had the day off as well. "Hey Harri, I know you're probably still asleep but it's me Zac, just calling to let you know that the kids and I will be at London Zoo if you want to come out for the day. Give me a ring back." Snapping shut the phone he closed the back door and moved round to the front seat, strapping himself in and driving off.
Luckily, since it was still early there were carparks available and Zac pulled in as close as he could to the entrance. First thing to do was to get out the stroller, and putting in Bray was no hassle once he had given the youngest Elwood his favourite toy. As Corra helped Sye out of the car, Zac locked up and they headed for the entrance and, tickets paid they made their way in.

Harriett had been out partying the night before. She woke in the arms of a man and grinned. It was an amazing feeling to wake up next to someone. Whether it's her sister or a man, the feeling of being the first thing someone sees in the morning was a glorious feeling. Of course this one would be short lived. The man needed to go and she had things to do. She nudged him awake with her hand before grinning and giving him one final peck. Ten minutes later he was gone. She got dressed and checked the phone her brother had given her. It was a strange contraption that had taken her a while to get use to but now she enjoyed it. She saw it flashing and picked it up to see missed girl from her brother. Well of course it was, he was the only person she knew who owned one of these. Her sister did but she wouldn't call her, she'd barge into her room. She opened it and like an expert, got to the message. She listened and grinned, her face lighting up. She loved the zoo! And even more than that she loved her younger siblings and big brother. She grabbed an apple and quickly apparated to the zoo. She walked in and handed over some money, winking at the guy sitting behind the desk although he must have been under 19. She walked in, still eating her apple and stood there, among muggles feeling completely at ease. Muggles didn't bother her, they never had. She had grown up surrounded by love and muggles over in Italy. There was nothing different about them except of course she had been gifted with magic and they hadn't though they had made so much without magic so really they were gifted as well. She finished her apple and looked at her phone, feeling more like a muggle than ever as she looked at the time. He had left the message 20 minutes ago and he'd be driving with the kids. She tapped her foot, getting impatient when she heard the voice of her younger sister Corrabelle talking about artic foxes. She looked over at the entrance and grinned, kneeling down as she heard her name being squealed and then there was a bundle in her arms. She picked up Sye and rubbed his nose with hers. "Hey buddy, how's it going?" She grinned before kissing his forehead and putting him down. She looked over at her other young siblings and her older brother. "Oh hey Dane, how's it going knucklehead?" She teased before kissing his cheek. It had been far too long since she'd seen them. Two weeks was a long time in her books. Outfit

Zac pushed the pram along, listening intently to his siblings chatter, laughing at their excitement which had them bouncing up and down on the spot, balls of hyperactivity. It was good to be out, and to take the kids to the zoo was something of a Elwood tradition, they used to go all the time when Zac was younger but, with their father hospitalised and mum working all the time there just wasn't time for it anymore. Zac knew that the youngest of the Elwood kids didn't understand what was going on, not really anyway. Corrabell might understand it, but Zac tended to try and avoid conversations about their father since, he too, could only hope for the best outcome even if it wasn't looking all that good at the moment.
At the yell from Sye, Zac looked up to a familiar woman standing a little ways before the group and he chuckled as he watched his brother run to the second daughter of the Elwood family. As the rest of them approached he shook his head at her words, already far too familiar with the phrase. "Just fine thank you Ettie, I see you're still as graceful as ever," he teased back, grinning down at the tiny girl who was his sister. Surprising since Zac was a giant while his sisters were so tiny in stature compared to him. "How you been these days? You haven't been home in a while."
As Corra latched onto his pant leg, tugging he looked down and saw her point to the cages over to the left and he could see the wonder in her eyes as she stared at the elephants. Laughing he patted her head, "alright, you ready to move on Ettie?" Pushing the stroller over to the enclosure he picked up Corra and placed her on his shoulders, just as he had once done years ago for the girl standing beside him. He felt her tiny hands wind into his long hair to hold her there, "Zachy, look over there! That elephant is drinking with it's trunk!" "That's right Corra, he's pretty big isn't he?" Zac said in reply, chuckling. "So big!" Sye pipped up. Brayden just clapped his hands and chanted, "look at the ellie, look at the ellie."[/i]
From there they proceeded to walk around and look at many of the other cages, letting the kids decide where they want to go. Turning to Harriett, Zac gave her a cheeky grin, asking slyly, "so got any man in your life I'll need to interrogate?"

Harriett loved her family and seeing half of them here was nice. When Zac spoke she let out a laugh and winked at him. She was always this kind, it was just in her nature. She looked up at him and just wanted to hug him but since their three younger siblings were crowded around their feet in made it slightly impossible. She would have to save it for later. Harriett looked up to her brother a lot, he had always been there in her life, being protective and amazing. She looked up to him a lot. She frowned slightly when he said she hadn't been around. She felt terrible, she hated not going around but she'd just been so busy.
"I'm sorry about that. How's everyone holding up? How's mum? Dad?" She asked quietly.
Of course though, being with three kids under 10, talking between adults was a mission. She grinned and nodded as they moved on. She was holding Sye's hand but he was tugging at her to go faster. If he was any older she probably would have lost her balance in her heels. Of course she had a lot of practice walking around in heels though. She smiled as she watched Zac put Corra on his shoulders. She smirked as she imagined him doing the same to her, it would probably work too since he was so much taller than her and she was quite petite.
They moved over to the Elephants and she grinned as her younger siblings marveled over them. She looked at the three and smiled softly, she may be a joker but the younger siblings brought out the warm side of her. They were all beautiful children and she knew they were going to grow up to be amazing adults. They continued to walk along and she smiled and picked Sye up, putting him on her hip so he coudl see better. She oohed and aahed with him. Then Zac spoke and she looked to him with a mischievous grin.
"Honey, we both know that I have multiple men in my life." She said with a wink. She loved teasing her brother about the fact she liked to sleep with men. She didn't want to say sleep around because it wasn't like that. She just enjoyed sex so why not have it? It wasn't every night, hell it wasn't even every week. She didn't have a boyfriend but that didn't mean she felt the need to be a nun. "What about you Dane? Any men in your life?" She asked innocently.

Zac grew up as the eldest of eight siblings, being the big brother to seven children all younger than him was always fun, others would have seen it as a hassle or annoying but not Zac. No, Zac loved his family more than anything, and it helped that he could naturally sense their emotions so he didn't have to fret over why they were crying or why they were unhappy since he knew how to fix it immediately. It also helped his mother who had to work two jobs for the income, hospital bills these days were incredibly high priced as the Elwood family had soon found out. Even three years into their father's treatment they still had to scourer their pockets for any change since every galleon counted.
"Mum's alright, I've been making sure she's sleeping and eating enough so she won't collapse like the last time she got anemia," Zac said, remembering it from a few months ago. That had been a scare for the Elwood family to hear their mother was in hospital as well. "And I dropped in on Dad a couple of days ago after work, he's the same as always, the drugs they've been giving him are really taking a hit on his appearance. He's lost all his hair and he's so much smaller than I remember..." Zac shook his head, dislodging the image from his head. Today was a day for having fun, not being depressed. "And you know France and Kyle and doing well at school, both are well, although I think Kyle is starting to crush on a girl in his year if his letter are any indication. He keeps asking what he should do to get her to notice him, it's pretty cute."
Zac laughed, adding, "although I'd like to see who this girl is, she must be certainly someone if she's caught little Kyle's attention." As they walked it was peaceful, they looked like any other happy family that was in the park, although you could easily tell that they were all related, even with the height difference between Zac and Ettie you could still see the similar features.
"Ew, I don't need to hear about my sister's sex life thank you very much," Zac said, pulling a grossed out face, "all I meant that if you bring home a man expect him to be dragged to the basement and given some veritisium." Zac was of course, being serious. He'd never let a guy hurt his family, especially the twins whom he grew up with, and they were his first siblings as well. "Me? Well there was this guy from school Nix who I met up with the other day...you know he came over a few times when I was younger..." Zac trailed off, laughing as he was joking. Ettie should remember Nix since he was Zac's best friend in school, although it was absurd to think that there was anything between them. Unfortunately the girl in his life he had lost long ago. "Nothing too serious though, so you don't need to worry. No marriage around the corner, although I wouldn't put eloping out of the equation..."

As Zac started talking about their family Harriett's mood dropped instantly. It wasn't because she didn't like her family or didn't want to talk to them. No she was more in denial than her about this whole thing going on. She very rarely visited her father in hospital not because she didn't love him but because every time she did he looked worse and she just couldn't accept that there was a chance she was going to lose him. She refused to talk about it with anyone. She just couldn't comprehend losing someone from her family so she simply didn't. She didn't need to. As her brother spoke about their dad she turned away, willing herself to just look at the animals and not listen.
Then the topic moved to their siblings and she was smiling again, ignoring the pain in her chest. She knew Zac could tell what she was feeling an she hated it. She hated that he could tell even if on the outside she looked okay. She hoped he didn't try to talk about it because she was not in the mood for discussion it thought he could probably feel that too. She let out a laugh as Zac mentioned Kyle having a crush.
"She must be something. I miss those little cuties." She said with a grin.
Then he was pulling a face at her and she laughed again, more real this time. She loved teasing him about it. Despite there age it seemed he still treated her like she was his baby sister. She was definitely not a baby. She turned and raised an eyebrow at him when he said he'd be dragged to the basement. "I would like to see you try Dane, believe me." She challenged. If he ever tried that with someone she was with there would be hell to pay.
Then he started talking about himself and some guy and she rolled her eyes. She knew who Nix was, he had been around a bit. They had been best friends. She remembered what happened to him and his family and it had broken her heart to hear it. She also heard it screwed the family up as well. She thought back to her dead and she frowned before forcing it back into a smile. She nudged him as they walked. "If you ever eloped I would probably castrate you. I want to be your best man. Not Tristan, not Phoenix. I shotgun that spot." She teased
