Skylar had skipped out on the History of Magic lesson which was currently in session. The Hufflepuff boy really was not in the mood to sit in class even if he could probably just sleep through it. Sky was sore and grumpy from Quidditch practice last night where the new recruits for the team were being put through trials. Some of them were fairly good, a few had some skills and some couldn't even ride a broom the right way up. It was how Sky had ended up with so many bruises from having to catch falling students at the last moment or having to dodge the bludger which had been smacked in the wrong direction and had flown towards the other students. It really had given him a headache.
So, the Hufflepuff seventh year sat on the window sill of the boys bathroom. No one would come in and find him here, not even Professors as they had their own sanitary utilities in their offices. Students were unlikely, but it depended on their time table and year but Sky was sure he'd be fine for now. Even if he got caught he could easily just say he wasn't feeling well and had been in the bathroom as he felt like he'd chuck up at any moment. Sky could easily make that lie come true though with a quick skiving snack box lolly the Hufflepuff would have his alibi.
As he stared over the grounds to which the bathroom looked onto Sky realized just how much he'd miss this place once he left. He'd be sad to go, it was his final year after all. Next year he'd be going off to do some job or another, Sky still was unsure about what he wanted to do with his life and he still had to think about future goals. So as he pondered his thoughts, Sky never noticed nor heard the door open as someone came in.

Landon stared blankly at the Professor as he continued to talk about artifacts that Muggles had. Muggle studies was the most useless lesson in all of the subjects that were ever taught at Hogwarts. Well, at least in Landon’s eyes. Even though he was a Half blood he didn’t find learning about something that he’d seen all of his life really did bore the hell out of him. Landon’s eyes examined the other students intently. Some of them were incredibly keen which were the Purebloods he presumed and the rest were in the exact position that we was in. Landon had to find a way out of here in fast. He allowed a deep sigh pass his lips as he stared up at the clock behind the Professor’s desk. He groaned and smacked his hand against his forehead. There was still an hour and a half of the lesson left. He really didn’t want to be stuck here especially with other students who wouldn’t stimulate him to work. Landon knew that the longer he stayed the worse it would be.
Without any hesitation, Landon shot his arm up. “Yes, Mr. Ashdown?” asked the Professor in a dull tone as she glared at him. “May I go to the toilet?” Landon asked while allowing a nervous smile pass his lips. The Professor nodded in his direction and continued on with the lesson. With that, Landon stood up from his chair and left the room without another word. When he finally reached the corridor a huge sigh of relief passed his lips. He leaned against the wall while allowing his eyes to close. Thank Merlin, I’m out of that hell hole! Landon thought to himself as a big smile lingered across his lips.
Landon looked around the corridor as he started walking in the random direction. He shoved his hands into his trousers’ pockets while allowing himself to take in all of his surroundings. He knew that if he remained away for too long the Professor was bound to get to suspicious so with that he decided that he’d make his way to the Fourth floor where the Boys bathroom was. He continued down several flights of stairs and zipped through a couple of corridors. A couple of minutes after, Landon reached his destination. He pressed his hand gently on the wooden door and it swung completely open. At first he was slightly hesitant in entering since he really had no purpose in being here other than the fear of getting caught by one of his Professors.
He stepped inside the spacious bathroom and allowed his eyes to scan the room. It didn’t take him long to find out that there had been someone else there. Landon quirked an eyebrow at the person who was sitting against the window sill staring out into oblivion, he couldn’t help but wonder what had been running through that boy’s head. “Whatever it is that’s on your mind must be pretty good for you to be sitting alone in the boys’ bathroom,” Landon said while running his hand through his blonde hair.

The seventh year had to ponder to himself what he was going to do with his life. It was an inevitable fact that once you started to think about things deeply you'd eventually begin to question the universe too. It seemed to be happening a lot to the Hufflepuff lately, ever since he'd begun to fret and worry over how he's tell his secret to others. He had told Chase, the one person whom he'd been most afraid of telling and his friend had been accepting of him even after the truth came out. That was something to be grateful for, but that meant now that Skylar had come to terms with his holiday revelation, but was he willing to admit it aloud to the world?
Coming out of the closet seemed like a big step, even for someone like Sky who always was one to socialize with others and have a good laugh. Being known as the class clown didn't do much for his image of seriousness so he was sure that if he were to admit it to people they'd only laugh, clap him on the back and tell him what a good joke it was. That would be the worst thing, if people thought he was only joking around. Skylar wasn't, he had only realized it himself but he had found he was bisexual.
When a voice rang out in the silence which he had been cloaked in, Skylar's eyes widened in surprise as he turned his face to see who had entered into the bathroom. He saw a unfamiliar male, so not his house nor his year. He smiled though, he hadn't been expecting for people to come in but it was only then he realized that it was a stupid thought. It was a bathroom, people came in here all the time for all sorts of reasons. Skylar was there because he was skipping out on class, he was sure that other boy had the same idea as he was as he seemed to be quite calm about being in here.
"You could say that," Skylar said with a wide smile, "I like to think of it as being a rebel and skipping out of a boring History of Magic class."

"You could say that," Landon heard the boy reply. "I like to think of it as being a rebel and skipping out of a boring History of Magic class." Landon couldn’t help but chuckle when he heard this. There had been another boy with the same idea as him. He ran a hand through his blonde hair as he grinned at the boy. “Currently skipping Muggle studies,” He said while walking towards the last stall which was closer to the window. He leaned against it and folded his arms across his chest. Landon allowed his eyes to narrow on the boy. He wondered what other reason there was for him coming to this bathroom specifically. Landon was well aware that were much better places around the school.
“That class is atrocious,” Landon added while rolling his eyes. “I’d prefer History of Magic over Muggle studies any day!” He told him. “Feel rather rude not introducing myself…” he added while giving the boy a small smile. “My name’s Landon,” he said as he shoved his hands into his pockets. Landon thought that shaking his hand would’ve overdone it so instead he decided that he’d play it “cool.” It wasn’t as if this boy had been anyone important, just someone who happened to be at the same place as him.
Landon lowered his head and sighed. He wasn’t quite sure what to say now since he was never very good at small talk. In a way Landon yearned to be on his own since he was used to it. However, it was already far too late. He’d already introduced himself and this other boy did seem quite keen to speak with someone. From what Landon could tell there was a lot on his mind and if he’d left now, he’d just come off as rude. His eyes slowly lifted up towards the boy. He couldn’t help but wonder what was going through his head.

"Ah, the dreaded Muggle studies," Skylar said with a grin, his tone sympathetic. He really did wonder why they had to make the curriculum so utterly boring at Hogwarts. Sure, there were some subjects that absolutely rocked like DADA but then there were things like History of Magic and Muggle Studies. He watched as the boy moved across the bathroom floor so he stood closer by Skylar. It was nice to have the company he supposed, it meant he wasn't mulling so much over his dark and depressing thoughts.
"Nice to meet you Landon, I'm Skylar," said boy replied with a grin. The Hufflepuff loved meeting new people, it always was fun whenever he made a new friend. Sky swung his legs off the side of the ledge, sitting with his back pressed up against the large bay window. He looked down at Landon and had to wonder what house he was in. He certainly wouldn't be a Raven, they'd throw themselves off the Astronomy tower before they'd purposefully skip out on a class. So that house was out of the question, same with the Huffles because Sky had never seen his face around the common rooms. That left either the lions or the snakes.
"So what house you in then?" Skylar asked, kicking his legs back and forth as the heels of his shoes bounced off the stone walls of the bathroom.
