Orion sat with his back up against a large oak tree nearby the Forbidden forest, looking down to the water's edge which was a few hundred meters away, the pebble beach being the only thing between him and the spectacular view. It was still early in the day, the Ravenclaw had awoken early to go for a run in his sweats which was what he was still wearing. The baggy black trackies hung from his hips, the white singlet he wore was stained with sweat which was quickly drying in the morning breeze. His hair was pushed back from his face, the locks slick with perspiration which meant his work out had been a success.
Closing his eyes, Orion breathed in deeply, the fresh air of the country side where Hogwarts was situated always reminded him of home, and their own mansion situated on the Fey block of land. He wondered how his siblings were, and his parents. He dare not write to them as he knew they'd never read it, only was he ever to reply to their letters, not they reply to his. Orion couldn't understand why his father despised him so, was it because he was a failure? Because he hadn't been sorted into Slytherin? Because he purposefully chose to ignore the pureblood values he had grown up with? Because he actually enjoyed muggle food and music? All of these things were possibilities, his father was a strict pureblood male, and everything about Orion went against his ideals.
Breathing out slowly Orion reopened his eyes, staring out at the Black Lake. He knew what lay in it's depths, having spent many a summer day swimming there. Knowing full well that it was still winter and far too cold to go swimming, his body was still warm from his run and the idea struck him as appealing. Stripping down to just his boxers Orion left his clothing beneath the tree before he walked forward, approaching the water's edge. Once he felt the cool water lap at his feet he shivered but continued to wade through, his muscles seizing as the cold water froze his limbs.
Once he was deep enough he dived under, the chill shaking him to his bones. Submerging from the water he took another breath at the surface before diving back under again, a simple breast stroke propelled him through the water. He continued this until he felt his limbs begin to tire, knowing that if he were to fatigue here in the middle of the lake he's probably cramp up, begin to freeze then drown. Which wasn't all that appealing.
Exiting the water he was surprised to see someone else there and he had the decency to blush at his half naked state. "Mornin'," he said simply, giving them a small salute as was his usual greeting.

Gracie ran out of the Gryffindor Common Room in a daze, her heart was racing, and it felt as though she couldn't breathe. Her evil step sisters had gone too far this time, they took her Book of Fairytale's, her most prized possession, and hid it somewhere, where they said she would never find it. The Sheriff, the leader of their little group, laughed as Gracie ran out with tears in her eyes and told her to grow up, that it was just a silly book and quit being such a baby. The door closed then and silenced their laughter. It wasn't just a book to her though, she couldn't just get over it that easily, it was her whole life, her childhood memories, all bottled into the Scarlet and Gold binding and the delicate pages.
Gracie ran up to the Astronomy tower and looked high and low for the book. She looked in every nick and cranny that was available to her and her short frame, and reminded herself to ask Teddy to help her look for the book again after he was done with his classes. Running down the stairs she did the same as she made her way down to the seventh floor and then all the way down to the Basement. Her scarlet and gold covered book was no where to be found and it felt as though someone had punched her repeatedly in the chest. The Sheriff and the Evil Step sisters had done so much to her, sent her bed to Timbuktu, pushed her and shoved her in the corridors, and even stole her clothes, but Gracie always kept her cool, always forgave them. Now that they stole her book, well, she didn't think she could forgive them for that.
Gracie didn't understand how they could be so mean to her, it wasn't just her roommates either, it was practically every girl she saw, they would call her names, push her around, throw stuff at her, even though she was nothing but nice to them. Then there were people like Captain Hook and Maleficent who were openly mean to people, and used girls left and right, and they got nothing, no one called them names, no one threw things at them, nor did they push them around. Instead girls flung themselves into Captain Hooks arms as if they were the one that could save him from Never land and give him all the riches in the world, as if that could make him good. However he couldn't be fixed. He would always be Captain Hook.
Gracie walked outside, the only place she hadn't looked, and winced at the cold, all she wore was her pajamas and her grey jumper that weren't exactly winter weather material but she was much too worried about her book to care. She set off towards the Herbology green house and looked outside the building, since class was in session before making her way towards the Black Lake ignoring her thoughts that kept telling her it was gone forever. No, she simply had to believe she could find it, and she would. It was the power of the mind, something that her father taught her about, he told her that if you could think it, you can do it, like the Placebo affect. Taking a deep breath she pushed those thoughts away and replaced it with a new and stronger one, one that told her she will find it.
When Gracie arrived at the Lake she gasped immediately and ran towards a log that was now, thanks to the ever rising sea level, being soaked with water. Gracie bit her lip as she tried, with much difficulty, to push the log away, parts of it were under the sand and therefore made it a bit heavy, and smiled slightly as it finally gave away. She looked down and saw that parts of her book was soaked, damaged, and therefore ruined. Gracie gasped and picked the book up, trying to fight back her tears as she opened it up and saw that Prince Charming's and Snow Whites wedding picture was ruined, as were the words that followed it below. She would never read the words that they lived happily ever after again.
Gracie sat down on the log and leafed threw the pages, her tears escaped one after the other as she realized that this wasn't a nightmare, this was reality, and much like her childhood, the book was dead. Gracie looked up then as she heard a male voice and blushed at her current state, as well as his but couldn't bring her self to stop crying. Instead she looked away from the half naked man and said, 'Good Morning,' however her voice wasn't as strong as she would have liked it to be.

Orion was from a family with a background filled with dark magic, something which he had grown up and around in. Fey was a name associated with bad things, a name feared. Orion even feared his own name, hell his siblings were ones to strike the fear in him as a child, he didn't need to be told scary bed time stories of monsters in the closet, it was his parents sleeping down the hall which had him quaking. He had learnt growing up to never ask questions, to never doubt and to follow in his siblings foot steps. Orion hadn't done that though, no he had done everything he could to spite his parents.
He loved muggles, the way that they lived, their music, their culture, their food. It was a whole different world to what he had grown up in, and as a child who had been deprived of anything fun he had clung to the ideas of the muggle world like a life line. Sneaking off as a child to explore had been his favourite past time, and as he grew older he ventured further and further, eventually making it into the muggle streets and learning their ways. Orion of course kept this a secret from his family, they had no idea that he would go and eat food down at a local deli, or that he'd listen to muggle music on a ipod that he had stashed away in a locked drawer in his wardrobe. That was his escape from the cruel reality which was his life.
Sure, Orion loved his family, he did but sometimes he felt as if he never fit in. He was different from them, he didn't have their ability to change appearance, his looks were darker, his locks dark brown and his eyes a deep shade of green, unlike his siblings blue. He was different, and his father loved to point it out, put him down for being lesser. He was literally the Black Sheep in his family.
Orion didn't know what to do since the girl whom he know stood before practically half naked was between him and his clothing, so he just awkwardly stood there as she spoke, having the decency to clutch at his pants which were, due to being wet rather...sticky if you catch my drift. Seeing though the distress the girl seemed to be in, he was concerned with her tear streaked face, the book she held in her hands leaking ink. He frowned, what on earth had happened to her book to be in such a state?
"Are you okay? You're not hurt are you?" Orion asked, worried for the girl who was obviously younger than him since he didn't recognise her from his year. "Can I do anything to help?"{/b]

Gracie didn't look up as the older boy spoke, but instead continued to leaf threw the pages unable to grasp what was happening, I guess you could say she was in shock, which is crazy because it was just a book, but that was the only way to describe how Gracie was acting towards the inanimate object. Gracie bit her lip trying to hold back the sob that was welling up in her throat, and smiled as Dorothy began to click her ruby red slippers three times, 'there's no place like home,' the page would have read, instead the words were smudged and the ink was running towards the end of the page, staining her pink pajamas, but she didn't care. Gracie turned the page again and saw baby Aurora at her christening, everyone was happy for the beloved King and Queen, all was well, that is until Maleficent shows up, cursing the poor baby girl. Gracie started to sniff as more tears began to stain her rosy red cheeks, the book that Gracie's mother gave her before she died was ruined, and now Gracie wont even be able to give this to her children, if she were to have them.
Gracie turned slightly seeing the older boys clothes out of the corner of her eyes and handed them to him before responding. 'No, I'm not hurt,' She said purposely not answering his question on if she was alright, because if she did he would want to know what happened, and she didn't want to tell him, for fear that he too would make fun of her, and she couldn't handle that right now, she wasn't strong enough. Sighing Gracie closed her eyes and brought the closed Book of Fairytale's to her chest wishing Teddy or Raven, her only friends, were here with her. Gracie smiled and opened her eyes, 'That's kind of you to offer but, unless you can turn back time or magically fix my book, there's not much you can do,' Gracie said giving him a small smile, knowing that tonight she was going to ask Teddy or Raven if they wanted to have a sleep over.
Gracie knew how small the possibility of that was, especially where Teddy was involved now that he had Raven, but she still had hope that things weren't going to be different because he was no longer single. Despite what many people thought, what happened in the Dorm Room when she spent the night, was completely innocent. She would show up in the dorm room after her last class and start on her homework while she waited for the other boys to show up, normally Aaron would be there with her, but sometimes he hung out with his girl friend, Maria. Then the other boys would show up and tease her, in a nice way, and they would all help one another out with homework. Then when night came she would take her book out and read, either to herself or out loud, if the boys asked her to. She would then either clear a spot for herself on the floor or sit in the chair by the desk and sleep. Completely innocent, but people liked to make it seem worse then it actually was.
'Why were you swimming? Trying to find Flounder?' Gracie asked before she could stop herself. She winced then and tucked her light red hair behind her ear bracing herself for the teasing to begin as he would realize who she was, Merlin she was talked about enough, Gracie King, the freak. The title had a better ring to it then she would like to admit.

Orion was glad when the girl seemed to spot his clothing, having had no idea how to approach the situation earlier it was a whole lot easier now that he was being handed his clothing. "Thanks," he mumbled quickly, turning his back to her to pull back on his track pants and singlet, glad that they had dried in the time he had been swimming in the lake, not really wanting to have pulled on sweat soaked clothing from his morning run. Orion hadn't thought he'd have been seeing anyone outside this early anyway.
"I'm glad you're not hurt, otherwise I would have had to try and put my abysmal healing spells to work and trust me, you wouldn't have wanted that. Still working on them unfortunately." Orion joked lightly, seeing as the girl seemed upset he didn't exactly want to leave her in such a state. As the girl clutched the book to her chest, crying it was obvious as to why she was upset. As she explained. Orion knelt down beside her, holding out his hand. "May I?" he asked, he may be able to help her withe the book, it would be a long shot but it could work if he did it correctly.
Orion was a smart kid, he prided himself on that. While he was gifted with a bright, intelligent mind he also had to work for it. He studied and read books, practicing spells and charms, all of it to impress his parents who, no matter what Orion did or achieved were never happy. Nothing was ever good enough for them, and so Orion just kept striving higher, and higher. There wasn't a limit to how much he could learn after all, just that he needed to practice it, study and (force) himself to complete his homework if he wanted to keep up his image as a Fey within the school. He did have siblings before him come through the school and achieve great things, he just had to do better than them.
As he took her book carefully, he felt the cover weighed down with the water, prying it open slowly as he watched the ink run free from the pages. Taking his wand out from the pocket of his pants, he bit his lip, looking up to the girl who he had found crying. "I don't know if this is going to work, but it might, and that's all that you can hope for, right?" Orion said, although he really didn't want to mess up her already wrecked book anymore than was necessary. "I want you to trust me on this, a complete stranger I know, but still I'd like to help you if I can, can't leave you crying here after all, I'd be a failure as a man and a human being if I did."
Orion could only look confused at her question, who on earth was flounder? Was it the name of the Giant Squid, or maybe a name of a merman? "I'm sorry, I don't know who this 'Flounder' person is but I was just going for a swim to cool down."

Gracie looked up from the Ruby Slippers that was painted on the page and smiled slightly as the boy made a joke, not the mean ones that the Sheriff would use towards her, but one that was actually funny, and one that seemed to be used for her benefit. It worked, she laughed softly as a tear trickled down her face. 'Yeah wouldn't want to turn into a pumpkin now would I?' Gracie joked and bit her lip wishing she had a filter between her brain and her mouth.
She clutched her book to her chest then, afraid that the older boy would rip it from her hands and throw it into The Black Lake, but he never did. Instead he knelt down beside her and held out his hand asking if he could see her book. Gracie's heart began to beat faster and faster unsure of what to do...should she trust him? She didn't even know him, how could she? He could turn out to be Jafar, who was just trying to be nice just so he could be mean. However despite these thoughts she handed the book over to him anyways, her heart still beating fast as she watched his every movement, hoping that she wasn't wrong in trusting him.
The boy in question, Jafar, took out his wand then and opened the book carefully. Gracie's breath hitched then, worried he may ruin it even more, but didn't say anything. He looked at her again before he did anything and asked her to trust him, something she didn't know if she could do. Sure, giving him her book required a lot of trusting on Gracie's part, but to allow him to do magic on her book? The only thing she had left of her mother, she didn't know if she could have that kind of faith. Gracie then thought back to Cinderella, who was in the same state as Gracie was in now, when out of no where her Fairy God Mother appeared, and if Cinderella didn't have faith that she was a good Fairy, she wouldn't have fallen in love when she did. What if Jafar wasn't Jafar after all, what if he was her Fairy God Mother? What if he could fix her book?
The thought was too much for Gracie who smiled and said, 'You'd be surprised at how many people would have left me alone, Gracie said, deciding not to add that most would also make fun of her, 'I trust you...Just please be very careful, it was my mothers,' Gracie pleaded as she looked at him.
Gracie felt a blush creep to her cheeks as he questioned her on who Flounder was, 'He's...nobody..it was a stupid joke, sorry,' Gracie said and stopped herself from telling her the wonderful tale of The Little Mermaid. She did want him to try to fix her book after all and if she told him the story, he probably wouldn't want to help her.

Helping this girl who was crying was the first thing that came to mind when Orion saw her, she looked to be in such distress he couldn't just leave her like that. Orion wasn't one to leave others behind, especially if they were hurt or sad. He was like that in ways though, he always connected to people on all levels and would never abandon those who asked for it...something which was unheard of from a Fey. Sure his family all cared for each other, and he was sure if he asked they'd come to his aid if he asked for it, but he knew they'd never willingly help another without their being some reward for them in it, and Orion hated the selfishness of his parents who always acted like that.
"I wouldn't guarantee a pumpkin, I was thinking more along the lines of a parsnip, root vegetables are more my specialty," Orion confessed, rubbing at his neck in embarrassment since it was actually true. He had learnt that the hard way, he'd never be going near the vegetables again after he accidentally tried to heal his cat's paw. Thank god for Leo though who was quick to set it right. Never again would Orion put his baby on the line, Cleopatra was his one true love, forever and always. That cat had been with him since he had gone to Hogwarts, and he'd always have her with him he was sure.
Orion waited till the girl gave him an answer before he even attempted to work on the book, and his answer surprised him. It had been her mother's book, so she held it dearly to her. Orion could never understand that, he'd received anything out of love from his parents, even Cleo had been because he was required to have a familiar, especially since he didn't have any powers his parents hated him. He was sure they'd disown him soon, he was graduating in a few months so there wasn't much point keeping a failure in the Fey family after all. His father always threatened him with that excuse.
"I'll try my best," Orion said in reassurance, giving the girl another smile before he turned his focus to the book in his hands. Placing the tip of his wand at the center of the book he began to utter a few, simple spells which he hoped would be able to dry the book, going slowly so he could keep as much ink in the book as he could from running. With that done he began to survey the pages from the front cover, repairing each page as he went, trying to work out exactly if the ink was on the right page from whatever was left of the smudges or words. It took a little while but soon he had a completely dry and hopefully fixed book in his hands. Sighing, he put his wand away, wiping his brow which had begun to form beads of sweat from his concentrating on the pages.
Handing over the book, he sat down on the ground before the girl, bending his knees as he rested his head against them, a little tired out. "Well I hope that worked," Orion mumbled, looking up to the girl who sat on the log before him. "Apologies in advance if I didn't fix it."
"Huh? Oh okay," Orion said, a little disappointed, he had genuinely been interested in this Founder person, Orion could only imagine who would be living in the lake. Realising that he still didn't know the girl's name he grinned, holding out his hand, "should have introduced myself earlier, my name's Orion Fey, 7th year Ravenclaw, and you...?"

Gracie smiled at his embarrassment towards not being all that great at healing charms, it was adorable. Though it was sad at the same time, to be embarrassed at not being good at something when none of us were perfect didn't make sense to Gracie. She shrugged her shoulders, 'You don't have to be embarrassed you know, were all bad at something, that's what makes us wonderfully unique,' she said with a small smile hoping her words eased his embarrassment, even if it was just a little. 'Besides I'm sure life as a Carrot wouldn't be all that bad, so long as no one up rooted me,' Gracie teased as she rubbed her thumb against the pages of her closed book.
'That's all I ask,' Gracie replied when he told her he would try his best at mending her book. He took her book from her hands then, and Gracie watched helplessly as he took out his wand. Opening the blue hardcover book he began to mumble a few spells, concentrating at the task at hand. Gracie chewed her nails nervously as she watched him work his magic, her heart beating a little too fast as her anxiety took over, please, please, let this work she thought. Then a few moments later, which felt like hours to Gracie, the older boy handed the book back to her, his task, it seemed, was complete. She grinned as she took the book back, barley listening to the boy as he spoke. Glancing up, eyes wide with happiness, she tuned in, feeling guilty for ignoring the boy who just helped her.
Gracie pushed her thick knotted hair from her face, allowing her emerald green eyes to see as she set the book on her lap. 'I'm sure it's perfect,' Gracie whispered, her eyes full of wonder, as she took worn down book in. Taking a deep breath she opened the book with a careful hand and gasped as she took in the restored pages, everything was as it was. Everything was perfect. And they lived Happily Ever After, Gracie read and she felt her heart melt at the words, just as it always did. Gracie glanced up at the older boy and closed her book before throwing her arms around him, her book still in her hands. 'Thank you so much,' She whispered tears falling down her cheeks one after the other, but her lips tugged up into a smile. 'I don't know how I can ever repay you,' Gracie whispered before leaning back.
Opening her book again Gracie turned the pages, taking in the pictures that graced almost every page, they were hand painted by her mother who, unlike Gracie, was an amazing artist. She was afraid that it was lost forever, however thanks to a boy she barley knew, she had it all back. Looking up at the sound of him being disappointed she raised an eyebrow, doubting he truly wanted to know, but smiled when he told her his name. The Fey's...She's heard enough about them to know to stay away, however Orion seemed different than his siblings. He helped her, even though he barley knew her and she was a Muggle-Born nonetheless, those few facts were all Gracie needed, to know that he was good.
Gracie grinned, 'It's fine, I was a bit of a mess, sorry about that,' Gracie said with a wince as she wiped her eyes, 'Gracelynn King, 6th year Gryffindor, though I don't know why I was put there to be honest,' Gracie said watching him out of the corner of her eye for his response, if he heard of her. ' I'm afraid I must apologize,' Gracie said feeling a bit guilty towards her harshness before, even if it was just in her head, she felt as though she should apologize. ' I doubted you before, and thought that you were going to turn out to be a Jafar...He tricked Jasmine's father into believing he was good, when really he was evil.' Gracie explained knowing most Pure-Bloods wouldn't have heard of the beautiful tale. ' But it appears I was wrong, your my Fairy God Mother....more or less,' Gracie grinned ignoring everything in her body that told her to shut up. 'And Flounder is a fish who was Ariel's best friend, she's a mermaid.' Gracie added, answering his question from before. Pulling her messed plait over her shoulder Gracie shrugged, 'If you want to leave you can...I know I can be a bit weird and over whelming at times...I'm use to it,'

Orion chuckled, the sound hollow and void of any amusement. If only his parents would except less than perfect then maybe his life wouldn't be so hard, having to try so hard all the time took it's toll after all. "Yeah, well sometimes unique isn't good enough," Orion stated simply, his smile sad as he said it. This girl didn't seem to understand that life was never perfect, and no one truly accepted you for who you were, hell she should know the best! She was bullies, something which was obvious by the state of her book yet she was still acting all happy about it. Chuckling though, Orion let his usual boy side come through, flirting with the younger girl, "are you sure? Being rooted is always a good thing."
Orion was glad when he seemed to have fixed the book, although he wasn't too sure if he would have gotten it back to being the exact same way it had been, he hadn't seen it in it's previous condition after all. As the girl took back the book, he could see the wonder on her face and he let out a sigh of relief as it seemed to only increase as she turned the pages of the book, seems he got it right. That was a relief, he wouldn't have wanted to stuff this up, especially since it wasn't just his magic skills on the line but also the treasure of this young girl. Orion wanted to help her, he knew what it was like to own something which you treasured beyond your own life, his guitar was like that to him, and he was sure he'd be in much the same state of mind if something were to happen to his guitar.
He was startled when arms were suddenly thrown around his neck, falling back from his crouch onto his backside, having to stop his back from hitting the ground with the motion, his arms bracing his fall. He felt her tears soak through his shirt, her whispered words in his ear making him smile. Patting her back he just chuckled, replying, "it's fine, really. I'm sure you would have done the same for me if our positions were reversed. I'm just glad you're books okay and I didn't fuck it up too bad. I wasn't too sure, but I'm glad you trusted me to do that. It must have taken a lot of courage from you to do that." He pushed back her hair from her face, the locks wet with her tears as he used the back of his hand to wipe away her tears. "See? All better now, no need to cry."
"Very nice to meet you Gracelynn, since you're name is so long can I just call you Grace? Or is there something you'd prefer to be known by?" he asked upon hearing her name. Hearing her comment about why she was placed in her house he just shrugged, laughing, "and why was I placed in Ravenclaw? I bet the sorting hat saw a lot more courage in you than even the mightiest of lions, you did have the courage to trust a total stranger with your prized possession, no?" Orion hoped his words could make her feel a little better, he thought it'd be his duty to do so with her crying and all. If someone were to see them they'd think that he was the cause of her crying, and he'd rather not have strange rumors begin to spread because of it, he liked to keep his life simple and clean.
"No need for apologies, really," Orion said, holding up his hands before him as she sat on the ground, he really didn't need to be apologised to since she had ever right to be wary and suspicious of him. He had no idea who this Jafar was, or Jasmine but it seemed to make sense to Gracie so he just went along with it. "Me? A fairy? I'd like to think I'm a little more intelligent than those cornish pixie fairies," Orion joked, having no idea what she meant by he was a fairy and a godmother at that...why was he suddenly labelled as a woman by this girl? Orion didn't think he was effeminate, at least not like any females he had ever had the chance to lay his eyes on.
"A mermaid?" Orion echoed back, well that made more sense since he had been swimming in the black lake, but how would Gracie know anything about the mermaids, let alone their best friends? Did she speak mermish? That couldn't be true, mermish was incredibly hard to master, only a handful of people in the world could communicate with the creatures of the deep. "No, you don't need to leave. I enjoy your company, you have many interesting tales that I've never heard of, all these names that I know not of, but it sounds like you know all about these...Jafars."

Gracie bit her lip, her comment was suppose to leave the older boy a little bit happier, he was suppose to smile and think about what she said, instead, he looked at her sadly, as if she was wrong and Gracie didn't know what to say, so she said nothing. She always hated it when people were sad, but she hated it even more when there was nothing she could do to make them happy again. So Gracie sat their instead, feeling a bit awkward and watched the sun in all it's orange and red glory instead. Then the boy chuckled drawing Gracie away from the sun as she raised an eyebrow wondering what was so funny, he then made a comment that could be considered sexual causing Gracie to laugh. She didn't knowing what to say back, she never did, so instead she rolled her eyes and muttered boys before hitting him lightly on the arm.
Gracie was so happy that he fixed her book, she couldn't remember a time that she was this happy. Even Snow White and Prince Charming riding off into the sunset couldn't compare to what she was feeling right now, he fixed it. Sure there were somethings that she would never be able to get back, like the coffee stain on the Princess and the Pea page from when her mother read the book in bed during her teenage years, but it didn't matter, because if he hadn't fixed it, she wouldn't have anything left of her mothers. She would choose the book over a silly coffee stain any day.
He tucked Gracie's red hair behind her ears telling her that it was okay, that she didn't have to cry because the book was saved. Gracie laughed, 'I'm not crying because I'm sad silly, I'm crying because I'm happy. You fixed my book.' But Gracie wiped her tears anyway. 'You can call me Grace it's fine, though it seems a lot of people like to call me Gracie. But it's whatever you prefer,' Gracie said with a shrug not really caring what people called her, so long as it wasn't 'Gracie Loo Who' which is what her roommates have decided to call her as of late, she hated it. Gracie bit her lip and grinned, she didn't think of it that way before,'Probably for this very reason Mr. Philosophical,' Gracie joked when he asked why the hate put him in Ravenclaw.
Gracie giggled as she watched him trying to figure out what she meant by certain names, it seemed that Gracie forgot, yet again, that there were some people at Hogwarts who didn't know a lot of Muggle things. It was easy to forget when you only talked to a handful of people who already knew of them thanks to who they were related to, sure a lot of people here didn't know who she talked about but they simply wrote it off as her being 'weird' and having to do with that 'damn book'. But it seemed that Orion genuinely wanted to know, something that made Gracie happy, she could convert him or something.
'Sorry, It seems I have forgotten that there are some people here who don't know a lot about Muggles. This,' She said lifting the book that he had just previously fixed for her. 'Is a book of Muggle Fairytales, their like your Beetle in the Bard,' she said referencing to their version of Fairytales that she has yet to read. 'I'm not sure how alike they are, as I have not read them, but Teddy say's their quiet similar. Fairy God Mothers, are used all through out the book from Pinocchio, to Cinderella, their like Guardian Angels. They usually come after you wish for something, nothing out loud but from your heart, and they make your dreams come true. Like you did with my book,' Gracie said with a smile and a child like wonder behind her green eyes, something she always got while talking about the book or while reading it. ' I'll never be able to repay you for your kindness,' she added before diving back into her quick explanation. ' Now, Jafar...He was a Salton for the King who wanted nothing but power, he was truly evil. He tricked Aladin, a homeless boy who could only survive off of the bread he stole, to get a lamp, but the task was very dangerous, only the pure at heart could retrieve it, he almost didn't make it. Jafar thought he died and decided to come up with a new plan to over take the kingdom which involved tricking everyone into thinking he was good, when really he wasn't. He almost got what he wanted, but Aladin stopped him just in time. Good always triumphs over evil,' Gracie said with a look that merely stated that she believed that with all her heart. Even now, with the war, she believed the Ministry would win. Gracie looked at Orion and blushed 'Sorry if I'm spoiling it for you....If you wanted to borrow my book you could....I've read them more than a hundred times,'

It seemed Orion had a new found friend in Gracie, the younger girl seemed sweet and Orion was glad that he had been able to help her out with her book. It was a little upsetting to see that she was being bullied, it was obvious that she hadn't ruined the book herself so it only left the usual childishness of some people. He'd have to make sure to stop that, he was, after all someone who had a little bit of influence about what went on, he was friends with Teddy in Gryffindor so he'd be able to look into whoever was picking on poor little Gracie.
As she began to explain about the book being one of children stories, just like Beadle the Bard Orion could suddenly understand the pictures which had been through the pages of girls in ball gowns and men riding horses. "So I'm a guardian angel now? That seems like a bit of a promotion from Philosophical saviour. Although I doubt I can grant you any wishes...well, unless you want some flowers, cause I can do that pretty easily." He gave Gracie a grin, glad that she seemed to have cheered up from before, and that she was able to have her most treasured possession back. Orion knew what it was like when you lost something important, and it sucked. Especially if it had been taken away by someone else just in spite to tease you.
Orion waved his hand dismissively, he didn't need repayment, it was enough for her to teach him about these muggle stories. "Really, it's nothing you need to worry about, it's alright." He listened in intently as she began to explain about this Jafar and he couldn't help but be reminded of his father, the description fit him to a tee. The charming facade which fooled the people but was only evil to certain people, showing his true colors. Except in the stories case, the good won over the evil and that couldn't really apply to Orion's case. He'd never be able to trump his father, not without the help of some very powerful wizards anyway.
At her suggestion of borrowing a book Orion could only nod in excitement, he loved muggle things, especially things he didn't know about. "I'd like that."
