It had been the first time in weeks that Katy had Don all to herself, their bedroom had been plagued with their children. If Jenna wasn't sleeping between her parents at night, Will was. A few times Katy had found both kids asleep on the bed with Don. Least to say, this was an absolute perfect moment. The blonde snuggled into her husband, wrapping her arms around his waist to hold herself closer to him. The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon and Katy let out a contented sigh. The bruises on her face and body from the encounter with her father were slowly beginning to yellow, she knew this only meant that they would be completely gone within a few days. Earlier in the week, Katy had stalked Jay down at work and invites him, along with Bethany, to dinner. Since the news that Don was Beth's biological father had come out, the relationship between father and daughter had hit rock bottom. They had to be missing each other and she felt as if it were her job as a member of the Maddix family to bring them back together. She would have to get up soon in order to start preparing diner. Or attempting to prepare dinner. Maybe she would just order a pizza. The blonde lifted her head to kiss her husband. "Good morning," she smiled at him.
As if one cue, a wailing began to sound from down the hall followed by a: "Mama! Daddy! Jenna's sad! Help! She's sad!"

Donovan for once had the night off, the Minister had given him the weekend to go and spend with his family, the elderly male more than aware of their new addition to the family. Jenna Kristia Maddix was currently Don's world, he couldn't be prouder or happier to be a father in that moment, his two beautiful children and his wife being the only reason that he came home these days. The sad thing was though, his family had yet to be complete though. Bethany...the girl whom he had always thought to be his goddaughter was actually his daughter, a drunk night with her mother had lead to her birth without him ever even being aware of that fact. After all this time he had only found out about the whole situation and his previous relationship with Bethany had gone down the drain.
Family was always a touchy topic for the young girl, Don knew that and for he, the one who had taken her in after it all to have betrayed Beth's father, and for her image of her mother to be tainted in such a way...Donovan was more than aware that he had done the unthinkable. He had destroyed the image of her family, and had ultimately destroyed the chances he could have had at being the father that he now wished to be for her when she wouldn't even look at him. All this had plagued his mind for the past few days and to add to it, there was now also the case that he was going to be a grandfather since Bethany was well on her way to giving birth.
Feeling the warmth of lips against his own Don felt himself wake from his peaceful slumber, surprised when he opened his eyes to see just Katy there rather than the usual addition of Will and Jenna in their bed. "Mornin'," Don replied back with a yawn, sitting up in the bed as he lifted his arms above his head, stretching until he felt the satisfied click of his bones, relaxing his body almost immediately. "I'm surprised we have such a quiet morning, this is certainly a first," Don said, reaching over to wrap his arms around his wifes' waist, "I'm sure we have some time for a little...fun." He smirked as he nuzzled her neck, kissing her shoulder but as if on queue, crying was heard from down the hall.
Sighing, Don unwound his arms, throwing off the covers as he swung his legs off the bed, kissing Katy's forehead. "I got this one," Don said as he moved from the bedroom, shivering in his boxers as he felt the cold wood against his bare feet, winter was certainly beginning to creep up on the house and Don was certainly feeling it. Entering into the nursery Don moved to the light yellow cot which they had bought after Jenna's birth, and avoiding the mobile which was above the cot Don lifted his daughter from her bed, craddling her in his arms. "Hey now little one, it's alright," Don said as he hummed lightly, a french lullaby which his grandmother used to sing for him.
As Will poked his head around the door Don just smiled and gave his son a wink and jerked his head silently for his son to go and it seemed Will understood, grinning as he took off down the hall. Moving about the room with Jenna in his arms, Don waited until she stopped her cries and was merely gurgling up at him. Kissing his daughter's nose as he felt his heart swell with love he took a moment to bask in the feeling of it, love and family, what he had always dreamed for finally in his grasp. This was happiness.

Her husband awoke from her soft kisses and stretched. Katy moved her body from its sleeping position and sat up in the bed, wrapping her arms around Don's neck as he wrapped her waist in his strong embrace. At his suggestion, Katy smiled to herself and moved his head from his shoulder to capture his lips in hers. "I'm sure we have a few spare minutes as long as the kids don't wake up," she told him, her fingers trailing over his chest. Then the crying began and a sigh of her own left her lips. She had begun to get off the bed when Don offered to take care of the screaming princess. "Welcome to parenthood all over again," she said to herself, throwing herself back onto the bed.
It wasn't long until the little patter of feet alerted Katy and she saw her son peeking his head into her bedroom. "Well good morning, handsome. Come to snuggle me?" She asked him, throwing her arms open for him. Within moments, Will was in her arms laying in the bed with her. She was surprised when the little tyke fell back asleep as the house suddenly quieted down. Katy kissed his sleeping head and slipped out of bed to the nursery.
She leaned against the door frame as she watched Don interact with his daughter. He loved that little girl to pieces, it was obvious to everyone. "Is she everything you imagined she would be?" Katy questioned him. She that had been how Katy referenced to Jenna for the past couple of weeks, ever since the accident. It was as if that fear had been installed into her brain all over again, just after she had worked so hard to keep it away. "I couldn't imagine a better family; you, me, Will and her. You guys are all I've ever wanted."

Donovan couldn't have been happier with his current life, long gone were the days of drinking himself to a stupor, spending each day alone and faking every smile which came to his face. His life had never been perfect, he had been placed with the burden of being an Elemental from a young age, which made him the target for many people who were eager to use his powers, the loss of his girlfriend and child had made him sink into darkness. It was only meeting with Katy and her son at the time that had brought the light back into his eyes, and four years later look where they were.
At the crying Don just chuckled at his wife's words, she'd been through this already but this was all new for him. Being a father, it was strange to believe that as he held Jenna that she was a living, breathing part of him. It was astounding to think that he was a father to not one, but two children and he had a beautiful wife and he lived a happy life. Three years ago Donovan would have never believed that he could ever be happy, let alone granted the gift of children. He had always wanted children, always and now that he had a son and a daughter he was never going to let anything hurt them, he'd protect them with his life if he had to.
Hearing Katy's voice from the doorway he turned to face her, Jenna still in his arms as the smile on his face beamed. "She's everything and more," Don whispered out, the corner of his mouth curling up in amusement as Jenna tried to grasp at his face even though it was too far away for her tiny hands to clutch at. Shifting Jenna again Don held out a hand to Katy, beckoning her with a sad smile. He knew that she was hesitant about Jenna, after the incident with her father...well, Don was trying to get his old Katy back. Wrapping his free arm around Katy he kissed her forehead, nuzzling her cheek with his nose as he leant down to her ear.
"And you're everything I'll ever need," he whispered out softly, kissing the lobe of her ear before he pulled back and just settled for letting his head rest atop of Katy's. At the sound of small footsteps on the floorboards, Will was suddenly standing in the doorway, his hands on his hips as he frowned at them. "No fair mummy! You left me there to go get cuddles! I want cuddles from Jenna and Daddy too!"
Don could only chuckled before he motioned for Will to join in. "Well? You gonna come join bub?" Will just grinned widely before he raced forward and locked his arms around his parent's legs, the whole family together for a hug.

Katy relaxed in the family hug. She rested her head against Don and closed her eyes. Will squeezed her legs tight and Katy couldn't help but feel like she was inside her own personal Heaven. So many years ago, she had pictured a different future for herself. But now here she stood, in a place that made her happy with the way life had turned out. "Alright, family, it's time to get ready for the day. Knowing Beth and Jay, they'll end up coming early to make a day out of what was supposed to be dinner." She grinned happily, but she was silently hoping they would come over soon. All she wanted at this point was for Don and Beth to make up.
"You get the kiddos ready, I'll get breakfast and start to clean." She kissed her husband deeply which erupted Will in a fit of "Ewwww!"s. Katy exited to shower and dress before she began to pick up the house. Occasionally, she threw a glance to the muggle clock and wondered when the other happy couple would get here. It had been quite some time since they saw the two and Bethany was just about due, she was going to be big compared to the last time they saw her and she could only hope that Don would be able to hold his tongue. The last thing they needed was a hormonal, pregnant teenage-ish girl making a fuss because her father threatened to kill her man.
She had just set breakfast on the table for her family when she heard a knock on the door. Early. As expected. "It's unlocked!" She called, "Or Don, get the door! Whichever is fastest!"

Bethany was just about ready to pop. She was as big as a house and all she wanted to do was sleep. Most nights, Beth couldn't even get through a simple fifteen minutes of a movie with Jay before she was asleep on his arm. Of course, she worried that she was more tired than she should be but all of her fears were pushed away by the Healers. She had nothing to worry about, they said. She had Jay at home and they were always an owl away. The truth was, the closer Bethany got to her due date, the more afraid she seemed to become.
Which was exactly why she hadn't said a word to Jay about the pains she had been having since she woke up. Bethany counted then off as nervousness. After all, she was fearful of her due date and she was going to see Don after their last blow-out in the hospital room. Beth hadn't even looked pregnant then!
With a heavy heart, she got up and got ready. Every once in awhile, she asked Jay if they really had to go to this dinner thing and if they really had to go this early. It was only breakfast and they still had hours to go until dinner! The young brunette lounged on the couch as she waited for Jay to finish getting ready, her eyes grew heavy and she closed them for awhile. She had just fallen asleep when a pain made her open her eyes again, she sat up and sighed. "Jay, babe, why don't we just stay here? We can go later tonight!" She called to him, "Or we don't have to go at all? We can watch that movie we started last night before I fell asleep! Please?" She gave one last pleading attempt to him.
{{Im sorry they're so lame!!! >.<}}

Donovan truly couldn't have been happier in that moment, the only thing missing was his other daughter...Bethany. Don hadn't spoken to Bethany in weeks, she had been refusing to speak to him, even look at him he was sure. He was pretty upset with himself, he had never known that Bethany was his daughter, and he could understand why she hated him. He had betrayed the man she had thought to have been her father, but in fact he had never been her father, all this time it had always been Donovan...and he had never had a inkling of an idea.
At Will's grossing out of their kiss Don just chuckled, picking up his son with his free arm and slinging him over his shoulder. "You heard your mother, brekkie time," Don said as he winked at his wife before leaving the nursery to go downstairs to the open kitchen. Sitting Will on the kitchen bench he knew the now four year old wasn't going to make too much of a fuss, and with Jenna still in his arms, Don set about to warming a bottle of milk. Keeping an eye on the pot he grabbed three bowls and poured in cereal, adding in some banana slices on top before grabbing the milk carton out and handing it to Will. "Think you can handle the big boy stuff?" Don asked with a raised brow to which Will only nodded and grinned widely, pouring in the milk as carefully as the four year old could.
Taking out the milk once it was warm enough he pinched the rubber tip between his fingers, making sure it was working before placing it before Jenna for her to drink from. Walking around slowly with Jenna in his arms, stopping only to take the occasional mouthful of cereal that Will held out for him. "Daddy, I've finished...can I go play now?" Will asked sweetly, holding out his empty bowl to which Don just nodded, "Just don't go making a mess or your mum will kill you and me both, got it kiddo?" "Gotcha!" Will said, jumping down from the bench and running off wildly as if he were an airplane, making the older Maddix laugh at his son's antics.
Once Jenna had been fed Don quickly spooned the rest of his cereal down and set about to burping her, placing her bib over his shoulder, patting her back gently until he finally heard the air leave her lungs. "Good girl Jen," Don soothed, brushing back the locks which were already beginning to grow from his daughter's eyes. Throwing the dishes into the sink, he made note to do them later on before moving to put Jenna in her crib so he could get ready as well. He dressed in a simple outfit of cream colored pressed pants, a button up white shirt and a dark green sweater pulled over the top, Rolling up the sleeves, he pulled the cuffs of his shirt out and folded them over the tops of his sweater at the elbows to keep them in place. Shaving and brushing his hair was all he did in terms of looking presentable, and he shrugged at his reflection. Better than nothing.
At the sound of knocking on the door Don sighed, he knew it was now or never. Walking downstairs he called in his usual deep, gruff voice. "Coming."

Jay couldn't believe that Bethany was nearing her due date for the birth, it was astounding how much her stomach had expanded in the past few months. He could still remember when she just had a little rise in her belly, but looking at her now it was very obvious that she was pregnant and well due soon. Jay was happy though, he'd come home from work to kiss Bethany then kiss the bump, whispering soft words to their growing child. Jay was going to be a father soon, he was going to have a family to come home to, to love from the bottom of his heart. The only worry he had was if he would be a good father or not, but to reassure himself Jay would just think of Nathaniel, and how he was as a father and Jay knew he'd be alright.
Jay awoke in the bedroom as he did everyday, Bethany pressed up against his side and his arm casually tucked around her swollen stomach. He yawned, pushing back his hair from his face, the dark curled locks were a mess and he knew he'd have trouble getting them to untangle without the help of a whole lot of conditioner. Jay watched as Beth got up to get ready and he followed in a similar fashion, moving to the kitchen to start working on breakfast for the both of them. Whipping up a quick omelet, throwing in some tomato, diced bacon, onions and capsicum he threw it all into the fry pan, pouring it in till it began to spread and fill up the small fry pan.
Once that had cooked through it flipped it upside down onto a plate, cutting it into two pieces, one being larger than the other as he ate his share, leaving the other (bigger) half for Bethany for whenever she was finished. Placing a plastic cover over the top to keep it warm, he cast a simple warming charm just in case before he moved to the other bathroom, setting about to fixing his hair. Stripping down he washed away the stench of sterile which always seemed to ferment his skin whenever he came home from work. Washing his hair, conditioning it and brushing it while he was in the shower, his hair soon became untangled and he rinsed it out before stepping out. Grabbing the towel he dried himself hastily, giving his hair a quick rub before wrapping the towel around his middle and moving back to the bedroom.
Walking past the living room he heard Beth speak as he walked over, a grin on his face. Keeping one hand on his towel to keep it from falling he used the other to brace himself against the head of the couch, leaning down to steal a kiss from his girlfriend. "We're going over early so you can spend some time with your brother and sister," Jay said simply, nudging her nose with his own, "cheer up love. I know you and Mr. Maddix still aren't on...speaking terms but from what I've heard he's been quite worried about you since the last time you talked."
Standing up straight he just chuckled, shaking his head. "We're not watching that movie again, or any. Come on Beth, it won't be that bad." Giving her a reassuring smile he moved back through to their room, dropping his towel as he pulled on his boxers and a pair of tight fitting jeans, a plain v-neck maroon shirt and a grey knit sweater over the top. Tying his hair back after he dried it into a pony tail a the nape of his neck, Jay pulled on his shoes and moved back to the living room, grabbing his keys, wand and the bottle of wine that he'd bought the other day for the occasion. Offering Bethany his hand, Jay said simply, "come on babe, it won't be that bad and, if it gets to the point where you can't deal then we'll come home straight away. Promise. Just give it a chance."

Beth wanted to laugh at the hilarity of it all, here she was with a brother and sister who were just babies and she was having one herself. "I think it's you that wants to go see them, quite honestly. Sneak in some pretend-daddy time." Bethany teased him and smiled when he kissed her. The amount of love she had for her boyfriend was indescribable. "Then he has a funny way of showing it. For as much as I knew, he could have cared less about how I was doing."
Bethany let out a groan as he walked away again, "Says you! What if I promise to make staying home worth your while?" When Jay entered the living room again, she sat up and let out a small sigh. "Alright. Alright. You drive a hard bargain, Harrison." She took his hand and stood up, she wrapped her arms around his middle and hugged him. The child inside of her responded to their contact with a kick and Bethany marveled at the feeling. It was still so strange to think about it, there was a living, breathing child that she could feel. "Let's get this over with."
Once they arrived at the Maddix home, Bethany knocked on the door and hid behind Jay. She was beginning to feel self-conscious for she knew Don would have quite the reaction to seeing her now. If he hadn't believed she was pregnant before, there was no denying it now. Besides, the last time they had met, it hadn't been on excellent terms. The younger female had basically told Don to fuck off without giving him a chance to explain himself.
When the door was answered, Bethany slid farther behind Jay. "I really really don't want to be here," she whispered. There was that pain again. Maybe she was hungry, but she did just eat. Normally, it would be intelligent to ask one's Healer boyfriend about worrisome pains, but Bethany decided against it. Jay was sure to tell her some crazy answer that she didn't want to hear.

Donovan wasn't sure how he was supposed to act, especially since he now had the knowledge that Bethany was his biological daughter, hell he couldn't even recall that he had slept with her mother! He knew there was a morning when he had awoken at their house, but he had been fully clothed, and hadn't thought that there had been any liaisons between he or his best friend's wife...the truth had come at a hard blow. To know that he had betrayed Felix like that, and he hoped that his friend was not cursing him from the heavens for it, even if Don had been drunk when it had happened it was still inexcusable.
Standing in the entrance hall to their house Don took a deep breath to try and calm his erratic heart beat which was causing the blood to pound loudly in his ears. He wanted Bethany to forgive him, he did but with the way they had last interacted hadn't been all that brilliant, especially with her saying that she hated him and she'd never forgive him.
Turning the knob clockwise he pulled open the door, the smile on his face forced as he looked down to the couple on his front steps. "...Welcome," he said slowly, giving Jay the usual stink eye but he could see Bethany, his daughter behind the boy, and he was more than shocked by how big she was now. She really was going to be having the baby soon by the looks of her, it made it all the more shocking. Don was going to be a grandfather at thirty three years old. His grandson would only be months younger than his daughter Jenna. What was the world coming to...
"Come in," Don said as he stepped aside to let them in, not really having much else to say. Hell, he didn't know what else to say. He knew Bethany, and she'd snap at him if he were to say anything to her about it right now, maybe he'd wait a little while longer before he'd try to apologise, make it up to her. "Jay, Bethany!" Will called as he came rushing down the stairs, a grin splitting the young child's face in two, although he pulled up short at the sight of his sister. "Why did you get so fat?" he questioned innocently, although Don couldn't help but let a snort loose at the pure naivety of his son, quickly covering though. He didn't want Beth to leave before he'd the chance to talk to her, and he was sure by the way he was acting she'd be heading right back out the front door soon too.
Why couldn't he just figure out what the hell to say?

This was so awkward. So very awkward. Why couldn’t they have just stayed home? Bethany just wanted to stay home. She didn’t answer Don when he welcomed them. She was sure Jay would say something and she was able to keep her mouth shut. Her walls were up around Don and that meant that she would only be talking to Jay throughout the night. Never had Bethany been a Mute around Don, she supposed some things just changed when you slept with your best friends wife. Beth knew exactly where he was looking at, her swollen belly. He hadn’t seen her since their argument and she had barely been showing then. She hid farther behind Jay, which must have put his arm in a very uncomfortable position for she continued to hold his hand.
Don stepped aside and they entered the house. Bethany stuck to Jay like glue, her hand clinging to his for dear life. She had tried it, she didn’t like it and she just wanted to go home. Bethany hated being in the same room as Don. She hated him with all of her heart and soul. Even if she missed his hugs. And his jokes. And his smiles when she walked into the room. And him telling her how proud he was of her. No. She hated him. Bethany hated Donovan Maddix. She hated him and his stupid house and his stupid wife and his stupid actions that caused her to hate him. She hated him.
That was when she heard a little cry and she turned her head to see Will running toward them. She would have scooped up the little boy into a hug but she knew Jay would chide her if she picked absolutely anything up. Hell, if Bethany even began to bend, whatever she wanted was already in her hands. This whole not-being-independent-while-nine-months-pregnant thing was getting really old really fast. When Will asked his question, Bethany herself laughed. Quickly, she wondered whether she should tell the little boy the truth or not, that was when she heard Don laugh and she flashed a death glare his way. There was a certain look about the glares she shot people, in Hogwarts she was sure her glares scared people half to death.
”Well, Jay and I are having a baby, Will. Just like I hear your mum did.” This earned another glare in Don’s direction. ”Speaking of which, do you want to show her to Jay and I? We’ll follow you.” She smiled at the little boy and began to go with him and Jay to see the new baby when something caught her arm. She turned at the action, why couldn’t she just go home?

Jay could only sigh internally as Beth all but hid behind him, something which he did have to commend her on succeeding though due to her current size, she was into her final trimester after all, so it was no small matter, in all senses of the word. He was worried though, about Bethany. She was supposed to be due soon, but she would never tell him anything even as healer Harrison. He could understand her wanting to hide it from boyfriend Jay, but having taken on a role in her medical staff for the birth, it was not only his duty as her boyfriend and father to her child, but also as a healer. He was going to make sure everything was perfect and went smoothly, he wasn't going to loose Bethany, he refused to let that happen.
Jay watched with nothing but love as Bethany spoke with her little brother, glad that she was at least getting along with someone from the Maddix family. Bethany wasn't exactly all that fond of Katy, and now Mr. Maddix too so at least she seemed to be getting on with her sibling, which was a start.
As Will began to lead them to visit the new baby Jenna -Jay had heard about her from Katy at work- he saw as Bethany was pulled back and he just smiled at his girlfriend in encouragement, kissed her forehead and whispered, "I'll leave you here okay, you be good." Following Will up the stairs the young healer laughed as the young blonde chatted away about his new toys and how he played with Jenna even though she didn't play. Walking into the nursery he saw the little baby in her crib, her tiny hands grabbing at his long dark locks which fell over the crib as he leaned over to take a better look.
"Hey there cutie," Jay said with a bright smile, his odd eyes shinning with an odd warmth. Maybe one day, this little girl would be his sister in law. Tickling her stomach he smiled at her little giggles, rubbing her cheek with affection with the back of his hand. "You're just so cute, I'm sure your mummy and daddy are very proud."

Donovan could see that Bethany was hating being there, it was clear as day in her actions. Practically hiding behind her boyfriend (not that Don approved of him), and he could see the obvious looks of disdain that were being hurled his way. Don could understand though, and he certainly wasn't going to push for her forgiveness. Donovan had, ultimately, destroyed Bethany's image of her family by being her father, his role as Godfather having been important after all. How was he have supposed to have known that Bethany had been his daughter all this time? Felix hadn't have known otherwise Donovan probably been punched in the face.
It was bad to laugh about Bethany being pregnant, really Don should know better not to piss of pregnant women, even if Don hadn't known about Katy being pregnant until after Jenna was born, he'd had first hand experience when he was in his twenties and it hadn't been pretty. He had to be wary around Bethany, especially with the hormones and her grudge against him, who knew if Don would be able to survive the night without having his balls hexed off.
As she spoke to Will he had to suppress the urge to roll his eyes, the thought of Bethany, daughter or not having a child was absurd, especially with that Harrison boy of all people. Donovan did not approve. He didn't want to be a grandfather this early, he was only 33! It was absurd! Probably the youngest grandfather in the world...
When Bethany walked past, ignoring Donovan completely he could only reach out and catch her arm on instinct, almost regretting the action instantly when he saw the obvious irritation. "Uh...Bethy, we need to talk." Donovan made up quickly, wanting to try and explain to her, to go back to how they were before all this. That and Katy would probably castrate him if he didn't try and make up with Bethany. "Please..."

When Don had grabbed her, Bethany had tensed up. Her muscles contracted beneath his touch and another one of those bugger sharp pains ran through her body. Jay had grabbed her and kissed her, telling her to be good before he left. Beth had held onto his arm as it slipped from her grasp. "What are you doing? No. Don't leave me here with him!" She hissed to him, trying to grip onto his arm as much as she could. Then he was gone and she was alone in the room with Don.
Jay was going to be sleeping on the couch that night.
Don spoke up and she turned to look at him, her eyes glancing down at the grasp he had on her arm. He was her father. Her biological father. His blood ran through her veins. His DNA created her much like her DNA created her own child. He ruined her entire life. Shattered everything she had ever known.
"Why should I listen to you? Do you realize what you've done to me? Everything I've known is a lie. I don't know who I am, anymore because of you!" Bethany clenched her hands into fists. "Felix Gerard was the best father I had ever known and you tainted my memory of him. Now I can only wonder if he knew, if that was why he was so sad every time he saw me, if he truly loved me. I had to wonder if it was coincidence that I look like my mother and I don't have your features. You ruined who I am! You ruined my life! Everything I am, everything I ever was is gone! I don't want to be your daughter, I want to be Felix's and only Felix's and-and-" Bethany cut off when she realized how out of breath she was. She put her free hand to her chest and closed her eyes, her heart was racing faster than it should have been, even with her rage. Why was it so hard to breathe?
She opened her eyes to glance at him again, "I just want to go back to the way things were, I just want to be able to forgive you." She gasped as another pain shot through her. Oh, what was the use of calling it pain? It was a contraction. Bethany had been in labor for hours and she had known it the entire time. But something was wrong. Something was really wrong. Oh God. She should have told Jay. She should have told Jay before things got out of hand.
Her hand went to her belly as she squeezed her eyes shut, even touching the skin hurt. This wasn't right. This wasn't how labor was supposed to go. She could feel something running down her pant leg and she dared to open her eyes to be faced with the horror of her grey pants being stained with scarlet. That definitely wasn't how her water was supposed to break.
Bethany felt dizzy. She was going to faint. Before she could sit down, her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and she was unconscious as her body began to fall toward the floor.

Donovan could see the disdain on her face as she all but tried to rip her arm from his grip, but the older male wasn't going to give in that easy, not like this. He wasn't going to let it end like this, especially after everything they had been through he deserved to explain to her that he had no idea about what happened as he had no recollection of ever having been with her mother, let alone having betrayed Felix who was his best friend since their Hogwarts' days.
As Bethany spoke Don could only grit his teeth through the accusations, all of them true. He had destroyed her image of Felix, and of Jane too. He couldn't deny it, it was the truth after all. "Beth, listen to me when I say this. Felix will always, always be your father, I won't nor ever will take that place in your heart, know that. But I do...I do want to be here for you, whether that be as your biological father or as your godfather again, just...just let me be in your life again. You can't even comprehend how worried I've been about you, just the same as I always was. Nothing has changed about how I feel about you Beth, I have always cared for you...loved you in my own way, I just never would have thought that it would end up like...this."
He gestured between the two of them with his free hand, ever word which left his lips only holding sincerity and plea. He really did want for Bethany to forgive him, even if she didn't accept him as her father, he could deal with that, he was only coming to terms with it now. He had watched her grow from the day she was born he had been by her side, helping Felix through the death of his wife and, after the death of Felix too he had been there for her. He had watched her grow and mature to the beauty that stood before him now, it was shocking to think that all this time he hadn't really appreciated how special that was.
He frowned though as the young woman began to hyperventilate in his grip, her breath getting caught in her throat in raspy gasps. Her words sounded forced and he was beginning to worry. "Beth are you ok-" Don began but he lurched forward as he caught Bethany in his arms as she fell suddenly, his eyes being drawn to the red stain which was seeping from her pants at an alarming rate. "KATY! KATY SOMETHING'S WRONG! HELP GODDAMN IT!" Don screamed frantically, his hand coming up to cup his unconsious daughter's cheeks, slapping her lightly, whispering out with rugged breaths, all the while listening to the thudding of footsteps as the other occupants of the house rushed to the scene. "Beth, Beth come on girl you stay with me, you hear? We're gonna get you fixed up real soon, don't you worry."
