She had begun to spend more and more time locked up inside of her painting studio. Lorelei locked the door so Jasper wouldn't come in and she spent hours upon hours of painting every day. However, her heart just wasn't into it as it was just a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago. Everything had been so perfect a few weeks ago. It had been quite some time since Lorelei last smiled a real smile or laughed a true, hearty laugh. She missed her baby and she longed for her child to be back. She knew that being so upset was hurting Jasper, he always hated being helpless to Lory when she was sad. But she could easily recall in school that when she had a down day, he would take her to the waterfall and they would spend the day in each other's arms. It was days like that when she knew that she loved Jasper Delacour.
Paint was smeared all over Lory, her hair, her face, her clothing. The house was silent and she could tell that Jasper was no longer lounging around. She was afraid that he was worrying about her and her current mental state. Lorelei would be fine, she had to. She had to for Jasper. She wiped her forehead with the back of her hand as she painted the night sky in a picture, she couldn't wait to put in the stars and the constellations.
It was a bird tapping outside the window that alarmed Lory. She put down her paint and brushes and made her way to the darkened window. She accepted the letter that the owl carried and slowly read through it. It was from Jasper. Right. It was the first Friday of the month, date night. Lorelei feared she wouldn't be able to put on a cheerful facade for her boyfriend on that night which she supposed was something he so desperately wanted.
Lory cleaned up her painting supplies and went to shower, washing the mixture of colors off of her skin and down the drain. Once that was finished, she slipped into a dress that she had never worn(one of the million things that Jasper had brought her home from his trips) and stepped into a pair of heels. The brunette straightened her hair into its long state and put on her usual minimal make-up before she exited the home, making her way to the Fiery Dragon.
As soon as she had entered the restaurant area of the hotel, she saw Jasper straight away. Lorelei hopped over to him and finally it showed, through the weeks upon weeks that had been hidden, her bright, happy smile finally came through. She couldn't help it, it was hard not to smile when she was around Jas and finally the smile had won the battle. "Hi," she murmured, taking a seat opposite of him. "Jas, thank you for putting up with me and not giving up on me. I knew there was a reason I kept you around."
