I Know You... Ava stood quietly in the back corner of the lift as it took her up towards the fourth floor of St. Mungos. Her head was down, her dark brown hair covered her face as she starred at her shoes, she made sure not to make any eye contact with any one who walked in, with her luck it could be her mother, and she knew all to well what would happen if her mother saw her. She would be livid and would look at Ava with terror in her bright green eyes as she put two and two together, Ava wasn't here to see her, instead she was here to meet her birth father. Something that would cause the kidnapper to pull Ava out of St. Mungos kicking and screaming, because that's exactly what Ava would do, who cares if she ended up in the Mental Ward of St. Mungo's? Maybe then she'd actually get to meet him.
Ava didn't know what gave her that extra push this morning, maybe it was the fact that when she looked out the window she saw a little girl fall down and her daddy picked her up, but either way she made the decision to meet him. Her biological father who went by the name of Andrew Somerfield, who worked at St. Mungo's as the Head of The Spell Damage Ward.
Ava glanced up slightly as she heard the lift doors open, walking out Ava felt her heart beat faster and faster with each step she took, her body felt heavy and time seemed to slow down. Her breathing began to accelerate and she was almost positive that her skin took on a paler hue as she walked towards Healer Somerfield's personal office. The receptionist Heather, someone Ava has known since she was...well passed off as her 'mothers' kid. Heather found out the truth the day that Ava did, Ava didn't have a clue she was over when she stormed down the stairs, Heather took pity on Ava and told her where his office was. It annoyed Ava that Heather took pity on her but at the moment she could care less, it got her what she wanted.
Ava paced back in forth in front of his closed door trying to work up what she was going to say and then before she knew what was happening she felt her hand reach out and begin to knock on the door. Ava kicked herself for doing that without thinking of anything smart to say when the door opened, and Ava was finally face to face with her father.
'Hello Healer Somerfield,' Ava said quickly her heart being extremely fast. 'My name is Ava Flynn and I'm your daughter,' Ava said with a smile...too late to back out now.

Andrew sat behind his desk with piles of books littering the area around him. He had read most of them before but now he was looking for certain information and he wanted to make sure he hadn't missed anything. A certain case was plaguing his mind and he spent most of his free time looking for anything that could give him a hint of something that could fix his patient. Of course so far there had been nothing but it didn't stop him. He believed there had to be something that could help him help her. A mug of some drink someone had made him sat cold. His feet rested on his desk as he leaned back in his chair reading.
He had been there for at least four hours and was getting incredibly bored. Maybe it was because he hadn't moved the entire time or because he'd read all the books before and knew deep down there was nothing in them that was going to help him. He snapped the book he was holding shut and went to pick up a new one when there was a knock on the door. He frowned, wondering who it would be. Most people just walked on in so it wasn't a worker. Unless they were new or from a different department. He stood, weaving his way through the piles to the door, opening it to face a young girl.
He frowned and raised an eyebrow slightly. She obviously wasn't a worker, she was too young and not in the proper uniform. He lent against the door frame, maybe she was patient and she was lost or had been sent to him. Though if they'd been sent then there would be a doctor with him or she'd be waiting in an examining room somewhere.
"Yes?" he asked slightly impatient to know who this girl was and what she wanted.
She spoke and he liked the way she was polite, calling him by the proper name for a young girl to call him by. He nodded when she gave her name however he froze and his eyes widened ever so slightly at the words that tumbled out of her mouth after that. He studied her for a while as if to assess if this was some kind of sick joke. She couldn't mean it could she? Andrew had no child, he didn't even have a girlfriend. So why was this girl standing before him saying such an outrageous thing.
However as he looked at her he could see some similarities between her face and his. He wasn't going to laugh in her face or send her on her way before he knew for sure whether she was lying or not. He took a step back and motioned for her to come in. It would be a mission but there was an extra chair in his office for her to sit on. He shut the door behind her before making his way to his own chair. He sat down and looked at her once more, still not giving away much emotion.
"Care to explain why you think you're my daughter?"

Ava waited patiently for her father to react afraid that once the news sunk in he would laugh at her and try to kick her out. I say try because he wouldn’t be very successful, Ava did not come this far just to be tossed aside like she was nothing, she would force him to listen if she had to. However, he motioned her inside, something that Ava took to be a good sign, that perhaps he wasn’t a total ass hole like Heater mad him out to be. Taking a deep breath Ava walked in and took the seat he motioned her to take.
‘Thank you for hearing me out Healer Somerfield,’ Ava said with a smile, which faltered a bit as she took in his indifferent expression. This was only to be expected, Ava thought, it’s not every day you hear that you have a secret daughter. She tried to shrug off his expression as best as she could when he then asked her to explain why she thought she was in fact his daughter. Ava felt her cheeks become warm and was almost certain they took on a reddish hue. Why was she acting like this? Normally she could dominate whatever room she walked into with confidence, and right now, all she wanted to crawl into a hole and die. She drew in a sharp breath as she tucked her dark brown hair behind her ear then. Her heart rate began to sky rocket as raised a delicate eyebrow, ’Would you rather listen to the ramblings of a sixteen year old girl or look at the cold hard facts yourself?’ Oh confidence how I have missed you, don’t ever leave me again, okay? Ava thought as she pulled out a file from her purse, the one that Heather gave her the night she found out that she was, in fact, kidnapped as an infant. She handed him the file and smiled, ‘Everything should be in order, sir, and I am more than happy to provide you with a blood test,’ She said hoping it wouldn’t have to come to that…she hated needles.

Andrew watched as the teenage girl walked in and sat down. He sat down too, leaning back. He was comfortable here in his office, he let his confidence show because he had a lot of it. He wore a tiny smirk as he looked at her, he didn't believe this yet. He would need solid proof. He could see the girl before him wasn't looking comfortable or confident at all. She seemed rather frightened. That emotion there was what made a sinking feeling settle in his stomach. That emotion was real. He watched as she raised an eyebrow at him, finally showing something other than her fear.
He raised an eyebrow back at what she said. It was a good point. nothing she said would convince him. He did need facts. Did she have any? She was carrying a file which he could only guess was her own. He had to wonder how she came across the thing. Someone must have given it to her. She was too young to have managed to get it herself. He watched as she slid the file over and he picked it up. Her next comment made him tilt his head slightly as he looked at her before he opened the file. He looked down at her records, not overly phased about reading that she was healthy. He flipped to the back where her birth certificate sat and he frowned as he read his name on it. This could still be forged.
He snapped it shut and set it on the desk, not looking at her as he opened his draw and pulled out a pen. He murmured something and watched as it turned into a needle. He held it up for her. He was going to take her up on that offer. "I would like the blood to prove it." He said in a polite voice because now it was very possible that this outrageous story was true. He didn't understand how, she looked around 16 or 17 and that meant he would have had to be around the same age when she was conceived.
He walked around the table and knelt by her side, pushes books away. Any sarcasm or smirks were long gone as he looked at her arm, not meeting her eyes. He let his fingers run over the skin gently, treating her better than he treated most patients. He then brought the needle up to her skin and only looked at her as it rested against it. "I'll be gentle." He said calmly before he inserted the needle into the vein. He pulled it back and watched as red liquid filled the mall device.
He then pulled the needle out and grabbed a tissue, putting it over the small hole in her skin. He placed the needle on the desk gently before standing and looking at the girl. His was unsure of hos he was feeling, he currently was blocking any emotions. Either someone was pulling some sick prank or this was happening and he had been a father since he was 17. He looked down at the girl which he towered over. "I'm going to go do this. Hold that tissue on your arm and if you feel faint go outside and ask for a nurse." He said as he picked up the needle and walked out.
He went down the corridor and into a lab, walking over to a potion cabinet. This was relatively easy. He picked up a needle and pricked himself, not bothering to get blood. He dropped it in a test tube before pouring a potion in. The potion went red, mixing with his blood. That was fine. He then took a deep breath, pouring a few drops of Ava's blood in as well. He stood and watched as the potion moved and bubbled, staying red. He let out a sigh just as it turned blue. His eyes widened and he stared at it in shock. No. This couldn't be. How could have had a teenage daughter? How was that possible?
He lent against the counter, pouring the potion down the drain to get rid of the evidence. His breathing became erratic as he tried to calm himself. He had a daughter. He had a child. He had had one for over a decade and he hadn't known. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. All this time he had been searching for love and now he had someone he had to live unconditionally. Was this a good or a bad thing? He was too cold to be a parent. He straightened himself and waled out of the lab and back into his office. His posture tense.
"It seems we have to talk." He said as he shut the door, locking it before we went to sit down.
