Teddy was on cloud nine right now, life could not get any better than this. Not only had he finally been able to punch the git Layne Chambre in the nose (hopefully breaking it...bloody ass deserved it), but he had also gotten with the girl of his dreams, Raven. It was surprising how it had turned out, that fight with Chambre. Not only had Raven showed up in the middle of it and heard everything that Layne said about his own sister, but it also meant that she knew that Teddy had indeed sent her all the letters to her while she had been in hospital, it had been Chambre who had intercepted them and stolen his letters.
As the Gryffindor male sat in the armchair in the East Wing, his books laid out in front of him on the coffee table, his quill tucked behind his ear as he daydreamed. He was off with the fairies, dreaming of riding on his broomstick with Raven on the back as they soared through clouds and diving back down, whooshing past Chambre to which Teddy gave the ups as they continued with their journey to the sky. It was rather stupid, but his daydream was certainly a whole lot better then having to write out the stupid potions essay which he had been trying to work on earlier.
Hair now bright yellow in his happiness, Teddy just grinned like an idiot, unaware to the other person in the room until he heard movement, snapping from his otherworldly vision as he spotted the other male in the room. "Oh hey Lauri, 'sup?" Teddy said, giving the Slytherin male a grin. Lauri was actually a Slytherin whom Teddy didn't hate, since all the others were pricks.

Unlike plenty of the locals, Lauri didn't really care much about house rivalry. He honestly didn't care that much about the different houses, but that could just be because he was foreign and hadn't been raised with any views of the different houses. More important to him was the person themselves. Like many purebloods he had a rather negative view on muggles and muggleborns, and was fiercely proud of the fact that his family line had no muggle blood at all. Many people here also seemed to be lacking basic manners, which to him wasn't a good indication of someone.
Like usual Lauri was dressed impeccably. His robes were perfectly neat and tidy, with not even the slightest hint of wear. His shoes were nicely polished and his dark hair was carefully styled, even though it was in a sort of messy style. Slung over his shoulder was his bag with all books and other school related items.
Walking into the room he was happy to see that the only other person in it was his friend Teddy. The Gryffindor was obviously daydreaming, and Lauri suspected who that daydream may be about but didn't say anything. Instead he walked over and put his bag down before sitting in a chair near the other man's. He sat in such a way, as to not wrinkle his way, with the ease of someone who had long ago been taught how to do it.
In return to the smile given to Lauri the Gryffindor male got a friendly smile from Lauri in return, something some people never got to see. "The usual. Finishing homework, writing a letter back to my parents, scaring the first years. I take it you haven't exactly been thinking about homework?" Lauri quite enjoyed the fact that he could quite easily scare the younger children, and that it didn't take much to do so. His reputation seemed to get around, and part of his was satisfied when he saw them quiver with fear when ever he was nearby.

Teddy couldn't believe that he had finally gotten with Raven and had seen Layne Chambre been beaten down by his own sister. It was probably one of those day's he'd never forget. Being with Raven, the girl whom the older male had fallen for had been a dream come true since he had never thought he'd be able to be with her, not after everything that had been happening and with the attack and with Chambre always in the way, interfering with their friendship or messing with their heads. Not anymore though, Chambre couldn't do anything to them now, especially since Raven saw what Layne truly was like, and heard what he thought of her.
As Lauri sat down opposite him with his usual graceful ease that the Slytherin always seemed to carry. Maybe it was one of those strict pureblood things, probably was since he had that refined, rich attitude to his demeanor although Teddy knew that Lauri was actually really cool underneath it all.
"Ah, the ickle firsties are always needed to be scared, otherwise how else would they be able to survive the rest of their schooling at Hogwarts, tradition is tradition after all," Teddy joked, he himself spending quite a lot of time pranking the First years in his house, much to the dissatisfaction of the Head of House. Teddy had to live up to the protegee of the Marauders after all, he was the son of Mooney and he'd do his dad and uncle's proud, even Uncle Harry was amused by the young Metamorphmagous's pranks.
As Lauri commented on the day dreaming Teddy could only rub the back of his neck in embarrassment at having been caught. "Well you could say that I've sorta got a girlfriend now..." Teddy said slowly, a grin plastered on his face.

While there had been girls, and the occasional boy, that Lauri liked he had never actually had a girlfriend, or boyfriend. Technically he did seeing as he was arranged to marry a girl, but as the girl didn't go to Hogwarts he hadn't told anyone that. If they asked he just told them to mind their own business, and most people didn't push for an answer. Among other reasons he had always been to shy to really do something with a girl was the fact that he had a more negative view of himself than people realized. Naturally he was a little shy, and he didn't overly like the way he looked. There was always something not quite right in his mind, even though he may appear impeccable to someone else.
Part of that was probably due to the fact that his parents had always placed lots of pressure on him. To do well academically, to look perfect, to have good manners and to make friends and to get acquainted with people who might be powerful in the future. He knew that he tended to spend longer than necessary on things, but he couldn't help but continue at something until it was near perfect. So it was no surprise that he usually got pretty good grades, except in the odd class where he purposely chose not to participate. Herbology had been one of those classes where he hadn't done so well, mainly because he hadn't wanted to get his hands dirty, and that he simple hadn't been interested in it. If he wanted a plant grown he would pay someone else to do it for him.
Part of Lauri quite enjoyed scaring first years, and even the older years, especially if it benefited him in one way or another. It didn't take much to prove those stories as to exactly how much about dark magic he knew. Although he was always careful not to get caught or do something major, or lasting, sometimes he couldn't help but do something little. Naturally it didn't take much for him to appear quite intimidating, despite that fact that he wasn't that tall and had quite a slim figure. "True, but they usually run away when the see me coming. But then lots of the other years do that as well." he wasn't the most popular person, and the fact that his family had long been associated with dark magic didn't help, but Lauri didn't really care.
Lauri wasn't that surprised when Teddy confirmed that he had a girlfriend as he had naturally heard what had been going on from others. "Finally. And who is the lucky girl?" Lauri had heard plenty, but would let the other man confirm it. However he was fairly sure who it was if the information he had scared out of a third year had been true.

Teddy Lupin could definitely say that he was glad when the misunderstanding between Raven and him was cleared up once and for all, and also resulting in Chambre getting shown up by his sister which had definitely been amusing to watch. Lupin was not a mean guy, or he'd like to think so anyway. He was kind to pretty much everyone he met but Chambre was just someone who got under his skin and he his, it was just some sort of mutual hate for each other that seemed to derive from Raven probably since she was the only connection between the two young men.
"Well you are one scary snake after all," Teddy said, giving his friend a wink and a playful nudge who sat nearby all in good fun of course. Teddy knew different of course, Lauri despite his green and silver robes and proper behaviour was a good guy, the Gryffindor knew that after all the time they had spent together and he considered Lauri a good friend. "But don't worry, I'll always stick around, you can't get rid of me that easy mate," Teddy added with his usual cheeky grin, his eyes flashing bright in his mischievousness.
"She's a sixth year, Ravenclaw and her name is Raven, Raven Bergman," Teddy said with a wide grin, thinking about his lovely girlfriend, "god Lauri she's amazing. Her bright fiery red hair, her smile, her wit, her laugh...god she's amazing." Teddy laughed in his own embaressment, feeling his cheeks heat up, "uh sorry about that, just...I guess I'm just elated to finally be able to be with her, I've liked her for so long and now I get to finally take her out."

When it came down to it Lauri wasn't worried that most people tended to be intimidated by him. Sometimes that made things easier. He acted how he had been taught and how he believed was the correct way to do so, and didn't really care what anyone else thought. Truthfully sometimes when people said something bad about how he looked hurt, but he never let that show outwardly. There was a lot underneath that most people never got to see. There were things that no one saw; he naturally liked to keep things to himself, like his rather negative body image.
Unlike many of the locals, Lauri honestly didn't care about what house someone was in. He decided if he liked someone for different reasons. But there were some people who he really despised, but made the effort to be friendly to because it would be beneficial to him. There were a number of people here who he was friendly to just because they would be very good people to know later in life. And he had certainly inherited that trait of wanting to go further in life from his father.
He gave a small, natural, smile when the other boy spoke, saying that he was one scary snake. "It's a family trait." he said, knowing that his father, and his grandfather, were far more intimidating than he was. Especially his grandfather. If he was going to bring someone back to his house he usually made sure to be careful about who it was, because his parents weren't going to make it a pleasant visit if it was someone they didn't like (subtly of course). He gave a soft chuckle when he said that he couldn't be gotten rid of easily. "Really? I should take you to meet my grandparents." he knew that his grandfather in particular wouldn't like Teddy very much and would make that very clear if they ever did meet.
Lauri knew who Raven was, mainly because he didn't like her very much. But while someone with 'bright, fiery red hair' didn't appeal to him everyone's taste was different. Although plenty of rumors went around about himself he had never actually been in a relationship. Most people weren't game enough to ask, and Lauri refused to speak about it to those that did. "I remember her. Not my sort of girl, but it is good if you are finally with her after liking her for so long."

Teddy was a Lupin, and being a Lupin meant that you had to live up to the name of the Marauders and to be kind and funny and mischievous as you can be. The young male could still remember as a child his godfather telling him stories of Remus Lupin and his two best friends and their adventures in school, or the adventures that he had with him as well and it had always had Teddy in awe.
Teddy had never known his father as he perished along with his mother Nymphadora in the battle at Hogwarts. It was quite sad to think that his parents had died in the same building he spend 7 years of his life, but he still always took a moment to go down to the lake and imagine he'd see his parents across the water, waving to him, smiles on their faces. This in turn made Teddy smile, he knew his parents were always watching over him, besides he was honoured to know that his parents died for a cause, a cause that had saved the Wizarding world from devastation.
Teddy could only laugh at Lauri's words, knowing full well that being a pureblood in Slytherin was a big deal, and you had to play the part. He himself was descendant from the Great House of the Noble Blacks although of course he was also part muggle with his grandfather Ted Tonks having been a muggle. He didn't see the point of all this nonsense about pureblood or halfblood, it was all the same. Everyone was magical, who really cared if your great-great grandfather was a rich dude with a cane? Teddy sure didn't, and neither did his grandmother or godfather, both of whom taught him well enough to never judge others based on something as stupid as blood status.
"Ah, please save me from the wrath of the old people!" Teddy joked lightly, pretending to cower into his set as he raised his arms above his head as if in protection. "Spare me from the horror!" Pulling back his arms to reveal the wide grin on his face, Teddy just flashed his friend a toothy smile. "She's a little different but I guess that's what I like about her," Teddy said with a grin, and a shrug. "And thanks, I am happy to finally be with her...even if her brother does try every trick in the book to get us to break up. You know him, Chambre in your year."
