Jesse Warrick had been at her place for over a week now, Scarlett hadn't kicked him out, not since the night he had rocked up on her doorstep bleeding. She should have told him to shove off by now, but she couldn't. As much as she would rather be alone, going to bed with another warm body beside her was comforting beyond belief, and she secretly wanted that to continue for as long as possible. There was still a mutual hatred there though, Scarlett still knew he was a Death Eater but even she had been skipping work for the week, putting aside her badge and wand just so she could get herself lost in the ecstasy which Jesse Warrick was willing to provide.
She had awoken in Jesse's arms, as she always had for the past week or so, and she didn't say anything or do anything, she just lay there, taking in his comfort. Scarlett hadn't ever thought that she'd have craved human contact so much, maybe she had just been deprived of it for so long that she had forgotten what it was like. She couldn't help herself with Jesse though, her body was almost involuntarily seeking his out in the darkness, always touching his warm skin, pulling his closer to her thin body. Maybe she just craved a little bit of attention, a little bit of affection before she was to leave this earth.
Watching the male in the bed next to her get out and change she just watched, her light eyes trailed on him as she watched him leave the main bedroom. She rolled over and lay out on her stomach, stretching as the sunlight streamed in through the open curtains. She could hear the creak of floorboards downstairs, knowing that Jesse was walking around in the kitchen as he always did. He seemed to have to trouble or qualms about being here, and she didn't really care if he used stuff in the house, especially since she was being silent about his whole presence there. Sure she spoke to him, but more times than that she just kissed him to let herself feel that oblivion.
The smell of cooking food wafted up from downstairs, flittering into the bedroom. Her stomach churned at the smell and Scarlett suddenly felt the urge to be sick. Pushing open the door to the bathroom she stumbled in, not even making it to the toilet before she was threw up violently into the sink, gagging on the sounds. She stayed like that for a moment, waiting for the nausea to pass as she breathed in deeply, closing her eyes as she tried to will her stomach to settle. She must have gotten a cold or something, she was prone to being sick like this because her immune system had taken a battering with all the chemo, but never like this.
Rinsing out the sink and wiping her mouth she looked at herself in the mirror above the sink, her face still hollow, her cheek bones protruding from her pretty face. Brushing back her hair she went back to the bedroom, pulling on a plain black dress to cover her decency before she moved downstairs for breakfast. Being greeted as she walked in she just nodded, replying, "morning." Now that she was in the kitchen the smell was even stronger than before and she felt herself gag slightly, having to stop her movement, leaning up against the counter, her eyes clenched shut in pain. As it abated slowly she breathed out a sigh of relief, quickly going to the fridge to grab the carton of juice and pouring herself a glass.
"I'll just be in the living room," Scarlett said slowly, feeling a little green she moved through to the living room where, thankfully the smell was less intense as she curled up on the couch, flicking on the old television in the broken down old home, no work ever having been done in upkeep of the place. Sipping at her drink, Scarlett was glad the cool liquid helped her upset stomach, she hated being sick since it gave her a handicap, more so than her current one. She didn't want people to pity her or try and help her, she could do it herself.

Jesse wasn't exactly a great cook. elves had cooked for most of his life. However he knew that a cooked breakfast could mean the world to someone so it had been the one meal he'd ever bothered to learn. He could do anything, hash browns, eggs, bacon, toast. So he had cooked most morning for Scarlett, using whatever was in the house. He didn't know if she appreciated it or not, he felt he needed to dish out something other than sex. Of course that was the only reason he was keeping her here. She wanted his touch and he knew that, it was no more. She hadn't suddenly grown a liking for him, she wanted him for his body and he was fine by that. It was strange however, he had never slept with a girl like this before.
She walked in and when she nodded and replied he smirked to himself. She did that every morning. It was almost awkward though soon enough they'd be touching again. If anyone saw them, they would look like a couple. It was the strangest situation. They didn't like each other but they would cuddle, just touch each other. It was the most comfortable he'd ever felt in his life because he knew she wouldn't deny him and he wouldn't deny her. He frowned when she leaned against the counter and looked sick. He jumped down but didn't go closer as she straightened.
He watched her carefully as she poured herself a drink then left the room. Was she sick or was she avoiding him? He couldn't quite tell. Maybe it over and it was time for him to leave. He finished up the cooking but he had lost his appetite. He put all the food in the oven to keep it warm and fresh and moved to the lounge. She was curled up on the couch watching the box with moving pictures, it was know as a tv? He liked it. He moved over to the couch and debated whether or not to touch her. She hadn't said anything so he decided to just go for it.
He walked over and sat next to her, throwing his arm around her shoulders and pulling her against him. He immediately started drawing on her skin, something he found he did a lot. He shut his eyes and just enjoyed her warmth. It was something he had a lot that he knew he would have to adjust when it stopped because he knew it would eventually stop.
"You feeling alright?" He eventually asked.

Scarlett was bloody sick, and she hated it. She had never wanted to let her sickness drag down her physical condition, sure the chemo had made her loose a lot of weight, and it was noticeable whenever she would wear little clothing, hence why when she went to work she made sure to keep her clothing a size too big. She knew her partner had made note of her weight loss ever since they would train at the gym and Scarlett just ignored the younger male, and he didn't comment on it either so she was happy. It wasn't like having a tumor was a bad thing (it really was actually) but Scarlett hid it so she wouldn't be treated any different at work, there were hardly any females in the department after all, and she had been the first auror to join the ranks from Hogwarts.
Sitting in her living room she idly flicked through the channels on the old television set, trying to ignore the unsettling feeling in her stomach, the smell from the kitchen wasn't so pungent now so she felt a little better. She'd have to go and check in with the doctors to get some cold flu medication, now that she had stopped taking the chemo and the pills she was free to drink and take as many types of recreational drugs as she liked since it wouldn't kill her for mixing up all the different medications.
Scarlett wasn't surprised when Jesse walked in and sat down beside her, pulling her into his embrace, something which comforted her greatly but she'd never admit to that. Settling up against his side she just let out a sigh, the warmth which the male emitted being the only comfort she had the past week, every day having been spent locked up in this tiny hovel of a house with a male whom she might potentially be hunting. As he questioned if she was alright she shrugged, a nonchalant look on her face, "probably just a cold. Don't worry about it, I'm prone to getting ill."
Flicking to another channel Scarlett wasn't happy with their position so, mustering the feeble strength that she had in her she pushed Jesse back till he was laying down, fitting herself beside him, her back to his chest. Making sure to not fall off the edge of the couch she just played with the hem of her dress, her head propped up slightly with the pillows at the ends of the couch. Looking back to Jesse behind her, Scarlett just kissed the underside of his jaw quickly before turning back to the tv, not even making a comment on the action. She didn't have to because that was how their relationship worked. They just did whatever they pleased and the other would take it. No matter what it was Jesse always took what she gave him.

Jesse frowned at the fact she was getting sick. It was selfish but the first thing he thought was that he didn't want to get sick. Of course if she was sick, he would already have it by now. So why not be sick together. They had done everything else together. He hoped it wasn't too bad, if she got sick a lot it meant she wouldn't have a good immune system which meant that it could be worse than just a normal cold. He had grown attached to her in strange way so that meant he didn't want her to die or anything. 'You should get checked out." He said casually.
Then before he knew it, she was changing their position. He didn't mind and went with it, lying down was nice and he flopped an arm over her side, pulling her tightly against him to ensure she didn't fall off. When she kissed him he grinned slightly but she'd already turned back to the box so she didn't see. He nestled his face in her hair, not caring to watch the movie or whatever it was. Instead he closed his eyes and enjoyed the smell and warmth of Scarlett. Never in a thousand years had he imagined this would happen to him. He would have seen himself marrying a muggle before he was cuddling on a couch with Scarlett.
"Are you going to work today?" He asked, knowing that soon this non-stop cuddling and sex thing would have to stop. He would need to return to his life and her to her life. He had no idea if he would still be a part of hers once this was over. It would either stay a permanent thing or they would act like it never happened. "I think you should get checked out first."

Scarlett just shook her head as he commented that she should go and get checked out. No thank you. She'd been to the doctors for more than her fair share in her lifetime, she didn't have to go again for something as small as a cold. She could live through something like this, she'd definitely been through a lot worse, and had felt a lot worse before, but she'd never felt this sort of sickness. This was definitely new. Still, new or not she wasn't about to go see her doctor for something like this, besides, Jesse Warrick was the one suggesting it, who was he to tell her what to do.
Feeling Jesse's arm around her waist she let her hand come up to entangle her fingers with his, her thumb stroking the back of his hand idly, her eyes all the while on the television. This was just how she was with the male sitting behind her, this was how their past week had gone. They just relaxed in each others' company and embrace and they didn't have to talk at all. It wasn't necessary since their relationship was based of sex and carnal lust. That was all it was, and all it ever would be...
As Jesse spoke Scarlett rolled over, moving her hand that was in his to his chest, resting against the male's bare chest, her hands feeling the steady beat of his heart under her palm. Looking at him she took in his face, his dark hair and brown eyes so intense. She had seen all sorts of emotions in those eyes, lust, hunger, anger, disgust, and now as she looked at them she could only see a reflection of herself in the bright orbs, getting lost in them. "I think I can afford another day, not like my partner will be needing me," Scarlett said simply, "he's looked after himself for a week, won't hurt to take another few days. Besides, I've raked up enough holidays to probably take a month of if I wanted to." She said simply.
Funny how she would talk to Jesse now, it wasn't harsh or angry like all the other times before. Now it was just...neutral. She didn't have any emotion in her voice other than the times when she'd call out his name in ecstasy, but in normal conversation she was even being...civil. God forbid that Scarlett was going soft, cause that would be the death of her, and her career. She even wasn't swearing at him, something which certainly was a feat. It must have been because of all the sex, she'd screamed enough profanities during that to last her a lifetime in hell for the times she had called out God's name in pleasure.
As he mentioned that she should get check up again she just humphed and rolled her eyes. "Seriously, I'm fine." Letting her fingers trace patterns against his bare chest she just stared down at the moving digets, not wanting to meet his eyes. Instead though, to silence any other comments he'd make about her health she pressed her lips against his chest, sucking on the skin of his breast as she made a lovely deep purple hickey right above his left pec. Moving sideways she began to work on another one right on his sternum.

Jesse found himself feeling slightly glad that she wasn't about to go back to work today. And when she said she could take a month if she wanted he felt a shiver run through him of the thought of being here for a month. He knew however that someone would try and find him in the time. A week was nothing but a month? If not the death eaters, it would be Ellie. They didn't talk all that much now that she was dating Liam, something he was conflicted upon. He looked down at her as she looked at him, facing him now as the box made noise which only filled in the background.
He wasn't happy however as she said she was fine. It was obvious she wasn't. Looking as green as she had in the kitchen and being so frail and skinny, he wanted her to be looked at. That thought alone was strange since he he shouldn't be caring about her health or well-being at all. However he did so he wanted her to go. Now preferably. She started sucking on his bare skin however and his eyes closed as he just enjoyed the feeling. He was covered in love bites, as was she. He smirked at the idea of a healer seeing them.
Whens he started on another one he forced himself to break away, moving so he was hovering above her. He looked down with a smirk on his face. He wasn't going to just continue. How was he suppose to know she wasn't going to throw up on him any second, go into a fit or faint. No, he wasn't going to take the chance. He lent down and gave her a peck before grinning.
"Come on sick girl, get off your fat ass and go see a healer. It will take 20 minutes tops and then you can come back and we can have fun." He said as he lent down, his nose running along her collarbone before he gently started kissing her neck. Before she had the chance to protest he raised his head and kissed her gently, softly as his hand went down between her legs. "20 minutes and then you can be back." He said against her lips before rolling off and holding out his hand to her, offering her help up.

Scarlett contemplated the thought of keeping Jesse her with her in her tiny house for a month, she was sure that if that were to happen she'd be covered mottled purple from head to tow from all the hickies and her hips would have been dislocated from all the damage she'd been taking from wild nights with Jesse. Also her house would probably be wrecked by that stage, they had already broken the bed twice and have had to fix it up in the morning, and the kitchen table had to have a leg re-attatched after they had literally rocked the damn thing off it, causing them to fall off but that hadn't hindered them.
The young woman could see that Jesse was enjoying himself as she made work on his chest, her fingers running down his toned body, her legs tangled with his as she pressed her lower half up against his hips, her knee coming up to nudge his groin softly. This was how it always started when they cuddled, one of them would take the cuddling to the next level with little moves like this and the next thing either of them knew they were both butt naked banging on the bathroom floor. Today it seemed, was Scarlett's turn to be taking the initiative.
As Jesse moved away she just gave him a glare, not nearly finished with the second mark on his chest. Finding herself underneath Jesse Scarlett just wrapped her arms around his neck, her fingers threading into the hair at the nape of his neck, tugging at them as she kept her knee rubbing against his groin, all the while a seductive smirk on her lips. As he kissed her quickly she had to bury her groan of disapproval at the short touch of lips, wanting to do a lot more with the man above her but it seemed that he had other plans.
As Jesse spoke she glowered at him, not at all happy that he was still suggesting that she go to see a healer. She didn't like going to Mungos for reasons, it was there she had to identify the body of her mother after all, and there she had to pick up the coffin to get buried at some tiny graveyard a few streets away from her little overgrown house. She was about to start her protesting but she felt his lips against her neck, and she moaned out at the feeling of his warmth against her skin, melting into his kiss as she felt his hand venture beneath her dress before it was all gone before it had even begun.
"You're a cock block on yourself you know Warrick," Scarlett said sarcastically, still laying on the couch, her dress hitched up around her hips, her hair now tussled and her lips parted and her breath already quickened. "You know we could go for a few rounds before I'd even have to go anywhere..." she suggested, letting her hands move down her body to fondle her own breasts and slip between her legs, all the while her eyes locked with Jesse, wanting him to give in. If he gave into her temptation now he'd forget all about her needing to go see a Doctor then they'd both be happy.
Seeing as he wasn't going to she just glared and ignored his hand for a help up, "fine. You can go jerk yourself off tonight then." Moving back upstairs she grabbed a light blue cardigan which she slipped her arms into, pulling it around herself before slipping on a pair of flats and her wand, moving back downstairs. "Idiot," was all she said before she walked out the door, trying to not let the feeling of rejection seep in. She knew that it wasn't a personal thing, him not giving in but it sure did feel like it. She was a woman after all, and it hurt.
Landing at her muggle doctor's house, she knew that she was welcome here anytime appointment or not because of her condition, plus she didn't like going to Mungos for her tumor since then the Ministry would have to be alerted to her situation. Quickly explaining the symptoms and when they had started once she was in the locked room with her physician, he set about giving her some tests since he hadn't much else to go on except the vomiting. Checking her temperature, blood pressure, and made her take a urine sample and also took a vial of blood. With that all done, labelled and put in stands the doctor said he'd give her home phone a call that afternoon with the results.
Sighing she left the practice and apparated home, trudging up the steps and walking back in, not caring where or what Jesse Warrick was doing. Truth be told she was still actually really pissed that he hadn't given in to her, taking it as personal insult to her womanly nature which only ever came out when it came to sex. Going straight back to her room she kicked off her shoes and took of her cardigan, throwing it onto the bed as she stripped off, moving to the ensuite bathroom attached to the main bedroom. Turning on the shower till it was hot enough to steam up the room in seconds, but not enough to burn her skin she stepped under the wet stream, running her fingers through her hair as she just let her body relax, the sensation of nausea having passed long ago.

Jesse smirked as Scarlett got angry at him and stood without taking his hand. He chuckled to himself as she stalked off upstairs and soon he was alone in the house. It was slightly strange to be here alone. He was always around Scarlett and now she was gone. He walked back to the kitchen and go tout the food he had prepared before. He could eat it now without her turning green. He sat on the bench and looked out the window as he ate. He really had to wonder if anyone had tried looking for him. They would never find him, who would guess he was in a Auror's house/
Once he finished the food he cleaned up the kitchen and decided to go look around the house. He walked around, looking in the rooms. Not snooping, he was merely curious. Scarlett made him curious. He knew at least one of the main reasons that she was the way she was. She had told him her story, or at least a brief description when she had made a deal with him. Her father was a Lestrange, Rabastan to be exact and he had raped her mother. That was pretty rough. He could never rape a woman, he couldn't imagine getting pleasure out of having sex with someone who didn't want it.
He made it to a guest room, they hadn't been in here. The bed looked nice though so he lay down, a window letting the sun hit his bare skin. He could imagine that it was summer and the sun was warm. The house was warm enough so he was comfortable. He let his eyes shut and didn't open them until he heard the shower turn on upstairs. That meant Scarlett was back. He got up and walked upstairs and lay on the bed they had spent most their time in, waiting for her to get out. He wasn't sure where they were at after he refused her for the first time so he thought best to wait until she was out.
"How'd it go?" He asked when she finally walked out.

Scarlett hated this, sickness should just disappear. It was the waiting which was the worst, to sit around on your ass to hope to get better, to wait to hear the good or bad news, anticipate the inevitable...Scarlett hated to wait. She had to wait for the test results, had to wait to hear what was wrong with her, had to wait to die... She was an impatient person by nature who liked to hear what she wanted to know when she wanted to know, so being told that she'd get a phone call later hadn't exactly helped her with her mood. Especially since she'd go home to a house with the source of her original irritation.
She wondered if Jesse had left, he probably had by now. He had the perfect chance to leave since she was gone, he was bored of her already so he had left...yeah that's what had happened. Scarlett could only hope that he wasn't there, she didn't think she could face him without wanting to punch him for being a dick. Somewhere deep down she knew he was only worried for her. Well he seemed to act that way, he could have been trying to trick her out of the house to rob her or something, but that was unlikely since in her house the thing worth the most money was probably herself, everything else was just trash.
Scarlett didn't even know how to feel about Jesse Warrick, she knew she shouldn't be so irritated about his rejection, but it bugged her. He had been giving her everything she wanted the past week or so, so to suddenly be told no had her lips pouting. She didn't like this, she just wanted to have hot, steamy sex and the guy who she was practically banging 24/7 said no! She wasn't a very happy lady at all.
Turning off the shower, she stepped out, drying herself with her towel as she tried to get as little water from dripping onto the tiles. Wrapping the towel around her wet hair she stepped out of the en-suite, hearing a familiar voice she was startled, she didn't think that he'd be in the bedroom. Ignoring Jesse Warrick's presence as she went to the wardrobe, Scarlett pulled out a bra and underwear, pulling the bright aqua lacey material on, grabbing out a pair of sweat pants and a singlet, her thin frame seemingly even smaller with her pants hanging low on her hips, the ends sweeping the floor as they bunched up around her ankles.
Drying her hair with the towel again, she grabbed her wand and cast a quick drying charm before slinging her hair back into a pony tail. "I'll know whatever disease I've got later once they get the results back," she said simply, her voice monotone. She was reverting back to her old self now, the cold hearted uncaring bitch role that she was so good at.

Jesse was surprised when Scarlett was obviously surprised to see him here. Had she thought he'd go? He'd escape as soon as she was out the house? If he had wanted to go he would have done so quite a while ago though he didn't question himself as to why he hadn't. He watched her get dressed and frowned at her cool exterior and voice. It was like he was back to step one with her. Could his rejection before really affected her that much? Even though it was for her own health? He sighed and sat him, she obviously wasn't going to give in. He decided to try it anyway, he wasn't about to just let one no wreck everything.
"I'm going to guess it's a not to my way we can fill in that time so how about we watch a movie?" He asked as he stood and slung his arm around her shoulder.
He didn't really give her a choice as he steered her from the room and down the stairs. He wasn't sure why he bothered. A month ago he would have shrugged and left, simple as that. In fact he'd never tried with a girl. If they didn't want it, which was extremely rare he didn't kick himself up about it or fuss, there was always more and they probably weren't worth it anyway. Yet here he was, making an effort. He didn't even want to think what that meant.
"I could even make you breakfast if you feel up to it?" He said as they walked into the lounge. He sat on the couch, he didn't touch her, he went back to his side not wanting to have her get angry at him. If she wanted something she would do it, it was fine if she didn't too. Truthfully he wouldn't leave until the results.

Scarlett was sulking, there was no other way to put it. She had never acting like this before...ever. This was a different side to her, she'd never been like this, this...desperate, this...affected by the actions and words of someone else. Usually she would brush something off like being told no, she'd just think fuck them and move on with her own life since she'd never had much care for anyone but herself. But with Jesse Warrick, she just couldn't help herself. He indulged her pleasures and needs, and she'd become addicted, hooked on his words and touch. It wasn't good, not good at all. She couldn't be like this, so...dependent. This was dangerous...
As Jesse wrapped his arm around her shoulder she let him, not shrugging him off but, letting him lead her, although she still ignored him. Looking away from his face, she just hn'ed in response to his suggestion, not really caring. Not like Jesse Warrick knew all that much about movies anyway, bloody pureblood. Scarlett was, after all a bastard child between a pureblood and a muggle born. Growing up she lived as a muggle with her God fearing mother who more than once sort to beat her for being who she was, and that was the child of a monster...
As she was seated on the couch she just pulled up her knees, resting her chin on them as she grabbed the remote from the armrest, flicking through the channels again. Scarlett was well aware of the body beside her, deep down she was thankful that he was still there but she wasn't going to give in all that easily. Not yet, not when she was still upset that he had denied her when she had wanted sex. The entire past week he had never denied her, so hearing no had been shocking for Scarlett, and she was still...well, sulking.
Half way through some random movie that was on, something about a little guy and some ring and a whole bunch of men playing sword fight, Scarlett sighed, giving up on her ploy to abstain from Jesse Warrick. Laying down suddenly she placed her head in his lap, not saying anything as she kept her eyes on the tv. She didn't want to explain herself to Warrick, and she didn't have to because, that was how their relationship worked. This was all it was, and (she could only assume) was all it would ever be. Unbeknown to her though, was the already stirrings of feelings she had never felt before deep within, something which she wouldn't realise until it was probably too late...

Jesse sat there, his arm out stretched across the back of the couch, not touching Scarlett or even attempting to, just comfortable. He watched the figures on the screen without and didn't once even turn to look at Scarlett. He wasn't fighting her on whatever this was she was doing since she obviously was still annoyed at the fact he'd denied her. He'd let her make the first move because he knew eventually she'd either come back to him or kick him out. She wouldn't stay in this middle ground for long. He wasn't even following the movie, instead he sat there thinking about what was to come.
There was a war brewing, just on the doorstep in front of Britain. He was on one side and Scarlett was on another. That part there made this all the more exciting though a part of it sunk in to him deep somewhere and bothered him for reasons he didn't understand. He knew that any day now he would have to leave Scarlett alone. He would walk out and probably never come back. That information sunk down with the first, again bothering him. He didn't dwell on that however, that was far too complicated for him. He didn't have feelings so therefore that shouldn't bother him.
Sometime into them sitting on the couch, Scarlett dropped her anger towards him and lay down, her head in his lap. He brought his arm down to stroke her hair though continued to think. He had missed this much of the movie, there was no point in trying to follow it now. so instead he continued thinking, wondering what he would be doing and where he would be doing it in a months time. He could be dead for all he knew but of course for now he wasn't. In that moment, that whole week, it was like there was no war coming at all. It was just him and Scarlett and no-one, or nothing could change that. Well, not yet.
He was woken from his thoughts when he heard a strange ringing noise. He realised the end words were on the screen, meaning that the movie was over.
"What is that?" He asked at the strange noise.

Scarlett knew that this couldn't last, this little situation that they had going on. They were on two different sides here, Scarlett being an auror, well it was her job to investigate into Death Eaters and Jesse Warrick was a suspected death eater. There was no proof of it though, only rumors. But still, even if it turned out he was Scarlett wasn't going to go and put him in Azkaban, no he was far too good of a lay for that. If he went about killing countless people then she'd have to step in and do something, but for now she could relax as he stroked her hair, closing her eyes at the feeling of his fingers carding through her light brown locks.
Scarlett didn't know what she'd do after Jesse left, probably just go back to work and boss about McRae just because she could. The younger boy listened to her, she would even go as far as to say he respected her and while that made her a little bit happy, she never showed it. She kept to herself at work, no one could know about the tumor which was growing in her head, the Ministry would put her on leave as she'd be a possible risk to their squad being so sick. She couldn't let that happen though, not before she found out where her father, Rabastan Lestrange was hiding out so she could kill him herself. That was the only reason she joined the Aurors, so she could have a actual pass on killing people, she didn't even need to give reason, all she'd have to say was that he was a criminal and a threat to society.
At the ringing which echoed out from the hall where the phone was attatched to the wall, Scarlett had to snort at Jesse's naivety. "It's a phone," Scarlett stated as she swung her legs over the side of the couch, sitting up as she got up to get it. Answering it, she pressed the reciever up to her ear, "Hello?" "Ah, Scarlett, we just got your results back from the lab," the familiar voice of her doctor said through the phone. "And? What's the verdict? Another deadly disease?" Scarlett said with all the sarcasm she could muster, although internally she was hoping that it wasn't. It was bad enough with the tumor, let alone having to be diagnosed with some other medical sickness. She didn't need it.
"Actually, far from it. You're not sick, well it's not you who's making you sick." "What the hell are you on about?" Scarlett said in confusion and slight anger, was the good doctor trying to fuck her over here? She didn't like to be ridiculed. After a pause on the other end, the words which were next said was not what Scarlett had been expecting at all."You're pregnant Scarlett..." "Fuck off," she said in disbelief, they were obviously pulling her leg. "No, I'm being perfectly serious here. You're blood tests show it. I asked for the test to be done twice after that result, and it came back again as positive. You are pregnant, congratulations."
The phone slipped from her hand, clattering to the floor. She couldn't believe it, no, it couldn't be. Her gaze dropped to her flat stomach, there was no way there was going to be a baby growing in there...which brought about the thought of the man who's fault this was. Stalking back into the living room Scarlett punched Jesse right in the jaw, her face twisted into a feral snarl. "YOU! THIS IS YOUR FAULT!"

Jesse frowned when Scarlett said the noise was the phone. He had no idea what a phone was. He had to wonder why Scarlett lived with so many muggle contraptions. He sat on the couch, watching as she disappeared down the hallway. The ringing stopped and he could vaguely make out the sound her talking. It must have been some sort of communication device. He just lay back with his eyes closed, stretching out. It was warm in the house and Jesse still had no shirt on. It was nice, the whole atmosphere, he could definitely get use to it.
Of course that was until he felt pain in his check and he jumped up, staring at Scarlett as she snarled at him. His eyes were wide in shock as he saw her clenched fists, realising she'd punched him. She was angry, very angry and he had no idea why. She had been talking to someone, maybe it was her results but then he had no idea why something would be his fault. Even if the results were bad, just because he made her get checked out didn't mean that it was his fault she was sick.
"What's my fault? Explaining yourself before punching me would be appreciated next time." He shot at her, slightly offended and bothered that she had punched him. He honestly couldn't think of why she would be so angry. Maybe she had been fired because they had heard she was spending time with him. No they would have sent aurors or at least an owl. He stood there, half glaring at her and half looking confused as he waited for an explanation.

Scarlett couldn't believe it, it was the last thing she would have thought! She and Jesse had made sure to use protection of some sort, whether it was spells or potions, they had at least prevented it, so how could that be? It had to be the first night Jesse was there...Scarlett didn't remember if they had used protection, she was pretty sure she didn't even suggest it as at the time she had been too lost in the passion and ecstasy of it all. It had all happened rather quickly after all, but pregnant within a little over a week? This was unbelievable.
As Jesse seemed confused that only served to make her anger rise, why wasn't he more concerned about this!? This was his fault, he was the one who put his friggen sperm into her that resulted in this, this baby. He just looked at her like she was crazy, maybe she was crazy? Maybe this was just a dream, or some sick fantasy that she conjured up as a day dream. Slapping herself quickly she felt the sting of it mar her cheek, but no waking up or snapping out of this nightmare. This was real. "Ah fuck!" she cried out, her hand clutching at the end of her hair, her chest rising and falling quickly, having a slight panic attack.
"I'M FUCKING PREGNANT YOU ASSHOLE AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" she screamed, poking him roughly in the chest, her face still morphed with her anger, although her little panic attack was still continuing as she began to hyperventilate. Her legs were weak and she felt herself wobble, having to sit down on the couch quickly, placing her head between her knees, trying to control her breathing. She was pregnant...and that thought wasn't helping her breathing at all, gasping out, almost chocking on her own exhales and inhales of air.
