Something had pulled at Lorelei to travel to Hogsmeade that day. In all of her years of being at Hogwarts, she had never been to the village. Lory preferred to stay inside and finish her school work, usually one of her friends brought something sweet back for her. However, today seemed to be different. She slipped a dress over her head instead of her uniform and covered her bare shoulders with a dark blue jean jacket. She slipped on a pair of white flats and she was off, following the giant herd of students to Hogsmeade.
That was when she saw him. Jasper Delacour. He was right in front of her along with a few other students she recognized but couldn't place names to. Her heart seemed to beat quicker in her chest and she cursed the stupid teenage hormones running through her system. It was the only child-ish thing the fourteen year-old did, crush on boys.
Of course, Lorelei didn't have the courage to speak to the older boy. What if he cast her off to the side? She would be humiliated! She quietly snuck ahead of him, hoping to get to the village before him so she didn't accidentally run into him. Maybe Anna was around here, Annabel was her best friend despite her being three years above. The older girl had taken her under her wing and she had heard many of the giggles coming from Lory's mouth about Jasper.
The young girl shopped throughout the day, wandering in and out of shops and soon she had books in her hands. She had picked up the Wizarding books in a little shop that she hadn't paid close attention to to get the name. But now she was thirsty and hungry, a Butterbeer was sure to quench her thirst. Of course, Lorelei had no idea where she was. The girl asked around and she was continuously told "the Three Broomsticks" wherever that was!
Lorelei walked the village, her eyes scanning every where for the place when her eyes caught Jasper once more. He was standing outside of a shop and she took a deep breath. Getting directions and talking to Jasper Delacour, there was nothing to be nervous about. He was just like any other boy she had spoken to. Of course, the other boys didn't have their names and hearts on scattered pieces of paper inside of her trunk. "Excuse me could you tell me where the Three Broomsticks is? I'm a bit lost?" She asked him quietly, hugging the books closer to her chest.
