Lorana was starting to feel fatigue rush over her body as she walked into Gringotts to take some money out of her account. She had just spent the whole day cleaning the house so that way it was spotless when her father arrived home from his big game against Australia. His team won of course, something Lorana wasn't shocked to see, however it was a close game, one that left Lana setting at the edge of her seat yelling as she heard the play by play over the radio. She loved those kinds of games.
Looking down at her list of things to buy, that she had price compared the night before, she began to add the prices together so that way she knew the exact amount she could take out. She was a penny pincher like that. Lana was carrying the one over when she accidentally bumped into a man who was waiting in like, feeling her cheeks flush Lana looked up.
'Merlin I am so sorry I wasn't watching where I was going, are you okay?' It was a stupid question and Lana knew it was the moment the words left her lips, of course he was it wasn't like she was going full speed.

Dominic needed to get some money out. He was going to buy an apartment since it seemed he would be staying here for a while. Now since Dominic was a rather important person, he was paid a lot of money. In fact he was very, very wealthy. That was mainly because he hardly ever spent it. When on a mission he had all expenses paid for. Now he needed it since this technically, wasn't a mission. He was dressed smartly, feeling like showing his wealth in the back, just because he'd spent the last two years pretending to be dirty poor. He walked along Diagon Alley for the first time and grinned to himself. He had missed this place. He might have been many, many places and seen a lot things many people didn't but there really was no place like home. He looked at all the shops and wondered what he was going to buy. He felt like splashing his money, after all he was only paid so much because they didn't believe he'd make it out of most situations alive. He got to Gringotts and stepped inside. He walked to the line and stood there feeling elegant. The only thing which gave him away was his smirk. This was all a game to him, he was having the time of his life. He looked at the witches and wizards in the building. He remembered hearing about how a dragon broke out of here. He was just thinking when he suddenly stumbled forward. He spun around super fast and raised his arms to attack. He stopped himself just in time before he hit the young, flustered girl. His eyes went as wide as saucers as he stared into the face of his sister only it wasn't. He sister was a good ten years older than him. He just stared at her as she spoke. He felt all types of emotions well up inside him. This was so wrong. He was imagining things. He reached up and touched the girls face without meaning to as he stared in wonder. He then snapped out of it. No type of training however could have prepared him for that. "Who are your parents?" He demanded. Outfit

Lorana looked up at the man that she had just ran into. She felt rather uncomfortable as he stared intently at her, it was making her feel self conscious and honestly all she wanted to do was turn back around and walk out of Gringotts and go hang out at the Ice Cream parlor for an hour. However, something kept her frozen where she was at, she didn't know what it was but it was like a voice in the back of her head was telling her to stay. Then he touched her face and she felt herself take a step back, who was this man? Then he asked her a question, one that made her jaw drop slightly, he asked her who her parents were.
Lorana felt her stomach quench as she went to tell him she was adopted, but the same voice that had always stopped her from revealing that appeared, it was Georgett's voice and her cronies making fun of her for being adopted. True, she knew that this man probably wouldn't stoop to something so low as to make fun of a girl he didn't know, but still the fear was there.
'My parents are James and Elladora Broadmoor,' Lorana said with ease. It was true they were her parents, they weren't her real parents sure, but that's not what the man asked so she wasn't lying to him. Tucking her blonde hair behind her ear Lana asked, 'Why do you want to know?'

He watched her as she stepped away and that pleased him. He realised as a complete stranger he was undoubtedly frightening her. He stepped back also to give her her room. He didn't want to wreck this before it had even started. He tried to think of it as a coincidence but the lookalike was far too perfect. it couldn't just be coincidence. He realised his question was also slightly scary but he needed to know. There was no point in being subtle, he didn't need to be. He would get his answers from the young girl.
When she spoke it was obvious that there was so pause before she spoke. She wanted to say something other than she did. Whether that was fake names or whether they weren't her parents at all he couldn't tell. Of course he could only tell that because he was trained. Otherwise she seemed to have done perfectly well. So the names weren't right in some way and that sparked his thoughts on the matter.
"I'd prefer if you told me the truth. I'm guessing you're adopted, am I right? Since those names weren't right now were they? I ask because I think I might know your real mother." He stated n a complete whim hoping he was right.

Lorana studied the man in front of her wondering if she had ever met him before, because it seemed as if he knew her, the look on his face said as much. Then he asked her if she was adopted, something that both shocked her and terrified her. Lana gaped at him not knowing what to say. No one has ever asked her if she as adopted, of course she never gave anyone reason to, however it seemed as if he already knew what the answer was, and that freaked her out. The only person who knew that she was, was Georgette, and she liked to shove it in Lana's face every chance she got. Lana looked at the man with disgust, that was the only explanation. How could someone be so cruel?
' You suck,' Lorana said harshly before turning around and walking away.
Lana couldn't believe that Georgette had gone this far with her cruel jokes. Sending someone to say that they knew who her real mum was, was just cruel. She couldn't believe someone would agree to something so awful.
Lana stopped in her tracks her blood boiling. She couldn't let him get away with that. Turning around again she marched over to where he was at. 'No you know what? Your an ass, how could you even think to do that to someone? What did she pay you to say all those things so that you can throw it back in my face and laugh when I so naively believed you?' Lorana hissed her eyes narrowed as she looked at this guy. 'Well sorry to disappoint you sir because guess what I don't believe you.' Lana said her voice dangerously low. She was done with being pushed around by Georgette and her bitch pack, she was done standing on the side lines being miss nice girl. She just wanted it all to stop. 'So when you go back to Georgette and tell her you failed tell her that I said game on bitch,' Lana said with a frown and began to walk away then, feeling nothing but relief that the torments will finally be done with.
Your own mother didn't love you why should anyone else?' Georgette's voice rang threw Lana's ears.
Oh she was defintley done.
Haha I don't know where all that came from but I liked it it was fun to write while at work. BTW Dom is more than welcome to chase after her, I would suspect as much.

Dominic continued to stare at the girls face. He didn't even know her name yet though he was sure once he heard it he would know his sister chose it. He was waiting for a response. He expected shock, maybe disbelief and he definitely saw that in hers. He however, did not see that response she really had. He sucked? Where did that even come from? He went to ask what she meant but she turned and started walking away. He was in shock though that only grew as she turned back and started talking once more.
She thought someone was paying him to say this? Georgette? Who the fuck was Georgette? As she turned away again he took a minute to process this. She thought some girl had paid him to lie to her about family? This Georgette was obviously giving her a hard time about the fact she was adopted. He felt anger rise within him. He was going to have a few words with this Georgette. He then chased after the girl, letting her get inside so they stopped causing a scene inside the back. Once outside he grabbed her arm, gently but firmly enough to stop her.
"Okay, firstly, I don't know who the fuck this Georgette is so this whole idea of me working for her you have in your head, needs to go. Secondly, I'm your senior so you're going to respect me more than you are right now. If you want to find out who your mother is then I will help you. If not, then that's fine, you can walk away right now. If you don't believe me there is nothing I can do but I am a very important, 26 year old man. There was no way I'll be working for some bully kid. Who by the way, if you turn out to be who I think you are, I'll be having some very harsh words with. Understand? Oh, my name is Dominic and I think your mother may be Sarah Masters." He said as he stared into her eyes.

My bed where is my bed, Lorana thought as she began to walk towards the Bank's doors with long strides, she wanted to put as much distance between herself and that man as she could. Tears began to well up in Lana's eyes as she drew closer, she could hear footsteps from behind her, blinking the tears away several times, Lorana pushed the doors open and before she could figure out where she wanted to go she felt a hand on her arm, Lorana went to rush away but was kept firmly where she was at.
Lorana listened to the man as he spoke feeling her anger slowly subside and embarrassment begin to well up with in her. How could she be so stupid to think that? The more he talked the more she felt that he believed him, that he knew who her mother was. Mixed emotions began to well up in her, resentment, happiness, anger and uncertainty. Should she ask where she was? Or would that hurt her dad's feelings? As far as Lana was concerned she had a mother, and she was wonderful, what if her real mother, Sarah, was a disappointment to her? Lana didn't know if she could deal with that. However if her real mother was in fact a disappointment, the memory of her adoptive mother would stay perfectly intact, untouched.
She didn't know what to do.
'I'm sorry, I don't know why I acted like that... I was being stupid,' Lana said tucking her blonde hair behind her ears, not knowing what she should say next. 'You swear your telling the truth?' she asked her voice nothing but a whisper as new tears began to well up. Blinking rapidly again Lana looked down to regain her composure before looking back up again, the tears gone. ' Yes, I am adopted,' Lana said slowly. It felt weird to say that out loud, the only person she has ever told was her ex best friend, and well, it blew up in her face.' My parents... they adopted me three days after I was born.' Holding out her right hand Lana smiled slightly at him, ignoring the fact that a hint of her scar was showing. Who would notice that?. 'It's nice to meet you Dominic, my name is Lorana,' She said, if he wasn't going to reveal his last name why should she? ' Can I ask you something?' Lana said unsure if she even wanted to know the answer. 'How do you know...Sarah, might be my mother? Did she even want to find me?'

Dominic was pleased when he finally started seeing some respect on the young woman. It wasn't exactly a good first impression and he knew that if she was who he thought she was, he would have to sort that out. He was slightly taken aback however when he saw fresh tears and she whispered to him. It was a big deal and he understood that. She had most likely been questioning her real parents her entire life and the truth was, he couldn't give her any answers. He was just as surprised to find this out as she was. He was even more surprised about the fact, if he was right, there was another magical person in the family from a muggle tree line.
When she agreed that she was adopted he felt his stomach twist slightly. He could be right. This was nerve-racking for him. He hadn't had family in eight years, suddenly having family would be strange and dangerous. This was very dangerous, not for him but for her. However the prospect was too enticing to him. He wanted family so for now, he would go along. He still hadn't revealed that if he was right about this, he was her uncle. He only said he knew who her mother might be. When she said she was adopted three days after birth he had to wonder what could have caused his sister to give up her baby?
Then she introduced himself and he knew, instantly, without a doubt that this was his niece. She had to be. Sarah had always loved the name Lorana ever since a character in one of her books had that name. She always use to say how if she had a daughter that would be her name. He sucked in a sharp breath and looked away. This was happening, this was his sister's daughter, one that didn't know him or his sister, her mother. He turned back to look at her when she started asking questions and he suddenly felt guilty. He couldn't answer one of them.
"I think you're her daughter because you are a spitting image of her. I also know that she loved the name Lorana from the age of 7." He said softly before sighing. "I'm sorry to say I haven't seen her in eight years and before that, well, I didn't know she even had you. She's older than me by ten years. She would have been quite young when she had you..." He trailed off. Lorana looked between 16-19, that meant her sister would have been around the girls age when she had her. He would have been...9. Suddenly it all made sense. The summer she had spent away with their grandparents. His eyes widened, he had thought nothing of it but there had been such a change in his sister when she returned. The year after their parents died and she became his mother and she had done a damn good job. He looked at Lorana, understanding in his eyes. It all fit together. "I don't speak to her anymore, I can't ask her about you but I am sure that she loved you Lorana, in fact I'm sure she still does. If you want to find out whether it's true then I'd be happy to go and get a DNA test right now." He said before realising his own mistake.
