Kable and his fiance and daughter had arranged for a portkey to Australia to visit his parents. Firstly, it was so that his mother and father could actually finally meet his fiance in person and to see their grandchild. It was hard for his dad to leave the bar unattended since it was frequented by customers daily and even with Vera helping out they were always swamped. So, Kable decided that rather than having them have to leave their livelihood to travel to England that the three of them would take the weekend off to go and visit the Fredrickson Family for once.
With their suitcase filled with clothing Kable held it in one hand as he handed Melody to Rose. They were given the portkey at the ministry and were told it'd activate in three minutes. Moving to the portkey traveling point Kable held the raggedy old hat in his hand, the Acubra a symbol of Australia. "So, Mel you excited to go see your gran and pop?" Kable asked as they waited, giving his daughter a tickle. He looked over at Rose, knowing she'd have to be nervous. He rested a hand against her cheek as he looked down at his soon to be wife, giving her a reassuring smile. "It'll be all alright babe, don't worry."
As he held out the hat for Rose to grab it, the timer went off as it began to glow bright and soon they were spinning off at a rapid pace. Once they finally landed, Kable made sure that Rose wouldn't fall since she couldn't brace herself with their daughter in her arms, so he held out a arm, stopping her from tipping over. Dropping the hat which was now just a plain old hat, Kable knew the protocol having traveled like this before.
"Son, son over here!" a familiar voice called as he looked over the barrier of the point. He grinned, holding out his hand for Rose to take before he walked towards the gate. "Hey old man," Kable said as he placed the suitcase onto the ground and embraced his father, the man still fairly young looking. Then he kissed Vera on the cheek as she embraced him. "I'm so glad you're home honey," she whispered to him which he only gave her a squeeze in reply. Pulling away, he stepped back, letting them see Rose and Melody for the first time.
"Mum, dad, this is Rose and Melody, my fiance and daughter you've heard so much about," Kable introduced with a wide grin, beyond estatic about this. "If it isn't little MJ, we've talked so much on the phone, I'm your pop and that's your gran over there," Lawrence said as he held out his arms, mind if ya' give grandad a cuddle?" "Isn't she just adorable," Vera cooed before turning to Rose. "So you're the lovely gal who's stolen my boy's heart, I must put it past you, you've done well keeping in cheek, always the troublemaker he was," Vera said with a laugh, embracing Rose.
Kable just rolled his eyes at his step-mother's words. "Thanks mum, embarrass me before my girl why don't you," he said, his tone joking however. He was back home again, and Kable felt familiarity wash over him. He really had missed this place.

Rose was incredibly nervous. More so than she had been when she found out when she was pregnant. More so when she had been returning to see Kable after she left. She was terrified and she wondered if Kable had picked up on it. She stood there while he held both Mel and their suitcase. They were there, at the portkey. She took Mel and breathed in deeply. This was not okay. She was meeting Kable's father and stepmother! They were going to hate her! She had spoken to them before of course over the phone but this was different.
She had also never left Europe. France and England being the only two countries she had been in and now she was going to the other side of the world! She was going to be side. She was dragged from her worry when she felt Kable's hand on her cheek and she looked up at him, biting her lip. His words, she was sure, were meant to be reassuring but they didn't help. She was way past words to calm her. She wanted to die. They were going to hate her, Kable would leave her, take Mel and the wedding would be off. She squeezed her eyes shut and grabbed the hate. Mel was giggling in her ear, was she not nervous? No of course not, she was 2.
Before she would have liked and far too soon, she had landed and she heard people calling for their son. She didn't want to open her eyes but she knew she would look ridiculous if she didn't. She opened them and saw Kable grinning past her and holding out his hand. What if he realised he missed it here and wanted to move back? Bronx would come. Could she move and leave her parents and friends for Kable? She gulped and took his hand, letting him pull her to a gate. She knew she was over thinking absolutely every situation but she had never been through this before. Her previous boyfriends hadn't exactly been the 'meet my parents' type. Of course she'd never been engaged before either.
She dropped Kable's hand as he embraced a couple. She stared at them and gulped. This was not okay. Then Kable was stepping away and her eyes widened slightly. She was going to die. They were going to hate her. She put Melody down in front of her and offered the weakest smile she had probably given anyone in her life. She was glad they both looked to Mel first who soaked up the attention. "Poppy!" She cried as she recognised the voice and waddled into his arms. Then the woman was talking to her and she tried to keep her fear off her face. Then she was hugging him and she tensed. She looked to Kable and wondered if he had picked up on her panic at all. She went to raise her arms to awkwardly hug the woman back but she pulled away.
She let out a strained laugh at Kable's comment. She really needed to calm down but so many things were running through her mind. There was a light in Kable's eye she had never seen before and she knew it was because this was his home and his family. They would give him a happiness she never could.

Kable knew that Rose was freaking out, that she was worried about how this would turn out, that she would begin to think that she was going to mess then actually mess up because she'd freak out and then it'd all just be one big shenanigan. His parents weren't worried about anything that Rose was probably fretting over like first appearances and being liked, his parents would have loved her even if she had three feet. He could hear the strain in her laugh and he stepped back towards her, slipping his arm around her shoulders as he pulled his fiance against his side, pressing a kiss to her temple. "Don't worry about anything Rose just, just go with it and you'll be right as rain," Kable whispered to her, reassuring her that it really was going to be ok. "They won't bite, promise.""Come on kiddies, to the apparation point then!" Lawrence said as he held his granddaughter against his hip, marching off to the exit like a soldier which elicited laughs from Melody. Vera just smiled and followed leaving Kable and Rose to bring up the rear, the Australian still holding their suitcase in his empty hand. As his father entered into the sectioned off area used for arrivals of passangers, Lawrence had to take both Melody and Vera with him since she was a muggle, side along apparation being the main form of transport for the two of them. Kable took Rose's hand, "I'll apparate us out ok? We'll be going to my old house, I'll even show you were I used to sleep."Kable gave her a wink, making sure Rose was holding on tight before he apparated, landing in the enterance to the old house he'd been living in since childhood. "Welcome to the Fredrickson household," Kable said grandly, his free arm sweeping through the air as if presenting the house to Rose. It wasn't much, everything there was either handcrafted by Kable or Lawrence, with the odd bits of furniture that Vera had brought with her when she had moved in. There was a little touch of homeliness with all the decorations and photos, showing Kable and Bronx and Vera and Lawrence's wedding, it was all hung up along the walls of the corridor. "Come on, I'll show you upstairs, we'll be in my old room," Kable said as he lead the way up the stairs, hearing voices form the kitchen where he knew his parents and daughter probably where. Walking down the timber hallway to the last room on the right he pushed it open, revealing the now plain room. "Well they've certainly renovated the place since I've been away, where's all my Zeplin posters gone?" Kable chuckled to himself but placed their suitcase at the foot of the bed, turning to Rose. "So...little me used to sleep here, never would have thought back then that one day I'd have brought back my fiance to sleep in the same bed as I had been then," Kable said with a grin, sitting on the bed as he pulled her over to him, his arms wrapping around her waist. Rose knew she was being ridiculous. She should just be herself and they probably wouldn't mind her that much. Kable liked her and that was all that mattered. She was so focused on his parents that she hadn't even looked around. It was her first time out of Europe and she wasn't even taking in the scenery. She watched Kable's father with her daughter and felt the corner of her lips pull up. Melody was loving it. Then Kable was by her side and she jumped slightly at his touch, not expecting it.
She smiled to herself and closed her eyes, losing herself in the moment as his lips found her temple. It was the small gestures like this that Rose loved so much about Kable. She opened her eyes as he started to speak and she realised how obvious she must have been. She looked at him and gave him a small nod though she wasn't really sure what else to say. Then Lawrence was calling them to go to the apparation point as he walked off. She felt a slight slither of worry fill her as she looked at her daughter though she knew that one was irrational from the.. incident.
Rose felt Kable take her hand and she looked to him as she spoke. She realised she hadn't spoken since she arrived and guessed that Lawrence and Vera must have thought she had gone mute. She took a deep breath, breathing in the Australian air before gripping Kable.
"Okay." She finally spoke, her British accent, for the first time in her life, out of place.
Then she was being squeezed and distorted until she was in front of a house. She smiled at it and realised this was Kable's childhood in front of her. Kable and met her parents on many, many occasions and gone to their house. This was a first for her and it was exciting. She took it all in with greedy eyes, her nerves briefly gone now that it was only her and Kable.
"Its beautiful." She said, her tongue finally working again.
She let him lead her inside and up away from the giggles her daughter was giving off and down a hallway. Kable opened the door and put down the suitcase. She looked around the room and couldn't help but smile and think of Kable as a child there. She turned to him with sparkling eyes as he spoke and grinned at his comment. No matter how long they had been engaged, it still gave her the same feeling every time she heard it. She let him pull her closer and she put her hands on his shoulder smirking down at him.
"You sure you want me to sleep with you? You don't want to get yourself reacquainted with your hand which I'm sure you must have spent many nights with in here." She teased, glad that for now she was herself again and not a worried mute. She lent down and kissed her fiance. "I mean we wouldn't want your parents thinking we've been doing the dirty." She teased which of course w as ridiculous since they already had a daughter.

Kable could only laugh at Rose, glad that she seemed to finally be getting over her original shock of meeting the parents for the first time. It was different from talking over the phone after all, so he could understand how she was feeling for he had felt the same way too when he'd met her parent's for the first time. Kable still recalled that day, he had gone to pick her up on his bike since he'd booked a little cottage in the woods for a quiet getaway but how vastly different had that turned out to be, instead of a snuggle in front of the fireplace he had found out he was going to be a father.
"I'm sure a few silencing charms would be perfect," Kable replied, kissing her back as Rose leant down to him. He let his hands trail up the back of her legs to rest on her bum, giving it a light slap with a wink. "Besides, my parents have been more than aware of my sexual activities for many years now, it was always just a payback for all my sleepless nights with the walls of the house shaking." Kable just laughed to himself, thinking about his childhood made him realise just how much he had grown up, how much he'd matured since he'd met Rose, having started a family with her.
"I'm sure we could even go for a round of two here, just say we want a nap from jetlag," Kable said with a wink, leaning forward to kiss her stomach, habit from when Melody had once been growing in there.

Rose laughed as Kable talked about silencing charms then let out a squeak as he slapped her ass. She smiled at him, glad that her nerves and dropped off. She wasn't sure why she was so nervous, she had never been the nervous type. Well, that was before she met Kable and he turned her life upside down. She slapped him gently on the shoulder at what he said. He had definitely been a man whore and she loved that he'd been such a party animal. She wondered if he missed it, she did sometimes though she wouldn't change anything.
"Kable Fredrickson! We are not about to have sex the second we arrive at your parents house!" She scolded though she was smiling. "And round two? You want another one already?" She asked. She was only half joking, she was never sure when it came to Kable whether he meant these things. She let her hands go to his hair and let her fingers run through it. She loved him more than words could describe.
She heard a scream of laughter and turned to the door which she knew would lead to the hallway, taking her to her daughter and grandparents. She knew she had to go and talk to them. She wasn't going to avoid them all weekend. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She could do this. Just be herself. Of course they would like her. She was ten times better than Kable. That thought made her giggle and she opened her eyes again to smile at her fiance. She leaned down to kiss him one more time before grabbing his hands and pulling him up.
"Come one, I have to get over these nerves somehow." She said as she pulled him from the room and towards the noise.

Kable was glad that Rose was finally loosening up, being herself. This was the girl he had fallen in love with and this was the girl he wanted his family to get to know. Sure, Bronx knew of Rose and he was well aware that his little brother despised his fiance with all the hatred a 12 year old boy could have. Normal Rose was much more exciting and much more entertaining than Scared-Out-Of-Her-Wits Rose, Kable liked his beautiful blonde much more like this.
"What? WHy not, it's not like we don't shag everywhere we go already," Kable said with a wink, it was partially true to an extent. All the places they had been going weren't all that many since Kable and Rose couldn't afford all that much, but their house certainly had quite the few favorite places to shag in. For instance, their ensuite bathroom seemed to be a regular place since the shower was big enough for the both of them to fit comfortably, plus it was always a bit kinky when it was all hot and steamy in there. "Babe, you know I'm always horny when it comes to you, we could be bangin' all night," Kable said with a wink, knowing he'd probably be smacked for that comment.
As Rose pulled him up he groaned about having to leave the room but smiled, letting her lead him downstairs to the kitchen where he knew all the racket was coming from. As they entered he was glad to see his parents entertaining Melody with Lawrence playing with her while Vera set about to be making something or another. "Hungry anyone? Or thirsty? We'll have most things you'll probably need, oh that's right what does Melody eat? I wasn't too sure so I stocked the pantry with a few different things. Rose honey, just check it would you? Just to make sure, don't want to feed her anything she doesn't want." Vera said quickly and Kable just laughed at her. She could probably pass for his older sister considering she was only 12 years older than him. "Mum, stop fretting so much and if you're making lunch I'm dying for some burgers," Kable replied. "Then I think it's time for a barbie then," Lawrence said with a grin as he rubbed his hands together, "brilliant, get to show off the mad barbie skills to the new daughter ay." The older Fredrickson nudged Rose in the ribs as Kable just laughed at his father's antics. "Don't go try and hit on my girl now old man, not while you're wife's in the kitchen," Kable said with a wink to his dad. "That's right, there are knives at close reach love," Vera said simply in reply, continuing with her rummaging through the cupboards which ended up with Kable just bursting out laughing.

Rose rose an eyebrow as Kable started talking about how they shagged everywhere. Most girls she was sure, would hate to have their boyfriend talk in such ways. Rose loved the way he joked around. She loved his sense of humour and truthfully, the way he spoke about it was kind of a turn on. Of course that didn't mean she was going to do as he said. She needed to make a better impression on his parents than she had before. However at his next comment she knew she couldn't let him get away with it.
She slapped him on the shoulder though she quickly followed it with a peck to the lips. She moved back slightly and grinned, staring in to his eyes. One reason she loved his humour was because she shared it with him "I look forward to banging you all night." She said as she bite her lip before laughing and jumping back, leading him out of the room. One thing she loved to do, which she was sure Kable both loved and hated. She led the way back to where she had come from then let Kable lead her to the kitchen.
She smiled at the site of Melody and Lawrence. She could tell Melody loved him already and she was glad that Lawrence seemed to feel the same. It warmed her heart to have Melody meet both her sets of Grandparents, she had only ever met one. Then Vera was talking and she switched her attention to her. Soon she was being spoken to and she moved over to the cupboard. She opened it and took in all the foods. They seemed fine, Melody wasn't a fussy baby. As long as the food wasn't too hard or spicy then she was fine.
"That's alright Vera." She said with a smile. There was pasta there and that was all Melody needed. Then they were talking about a barbie and Rose frowned. Did they mean the doll? She was rather confused. Then Lawrence nudged her in the ribs and she couldn't help but giggle. She smiled at him then at Kable as he spoke. She joined Kable's laughter as Vera spoke. She could see how Kable would get his sense of humour being around his family.
"It's alright baby, I don't mind having a handsome man hit on me for once." She teased as she wrapped an arm around him before leaning up on tiptoes and whispering, "What's a barbie?"

Kable just grinned at Rose as she whacked him, although she did press a kiss to his lips which he could only give her another peck as she began to pull away. He could never get enough of Rose, she had always been the one for him and the Australian was never going to get over that. "Oh I know you are babe, this time luckily we got the room to ourselves since Mel's down the hall in the old nursery," Kable said as he let his hands run along the back of his fiance's legs, wandering fingers to tickle and tease.
Kable was glad they had made this trip to visit his parents, it was warming to see his father with his granddaughter. The young man still remembered when Lawrence had first been told about the pregnancy and the older Fredrickson had been over the moon with happiness to finally have a granddaughter. Lawrence loved his children, and he was more than happy to add more to that mix with a daughter-in-law and a grandchild. The family had been growing steadily, now all Kable needed was to find his sister and while she might not want to know him all Kable wanted was his own peace once he had found his long lost sister.
"Ah, great! I wasn't sure but it's great that what we got was alright," Vera said once Rose had said that the food was all okay. Rose seemed to be opening up a little more with his parents which Kable was glad for, he'd love for her to bond with them over this weekend that they were here. Melbourne was a nice place, Kable was sure that tomorrow would be a big day on town, that's for sure.
At Rose's words Kable faked as if he were stabbed in the heart, his hands clutched at his chest as his face morphed into a expression of pain. "H-How could you choose my dad over this gorgeous piece of ass? Have you already moved on from me?" Kable wiped away invisible tears from his eyes as he pretended to sob. Melody laughed at her father's antics and he lifted his face from his hands, grinning at his daughter as he swooped in and picked her up and spun her around.
Feeling Rose's arm around him he turned to her as she spoke to him. He laughed at the fact that she was unfamiliar with the term, it wasn't something English people knew of and he was sure he'd have to careful not to revert back to his Australian slang around her in case she wouldn't understand. "Barbeque, dad's a wiz on the thing," Kable said as he wrapped his free arm around his fiance's shoulders and lead her to the backyard, "this way babe, backyard."

Rose smiled at Vera. She doubted the woman could do anything wrong if she tried. She was so amazingly sweet over the phone and she seemed to prove it now. Rose laughed as Kable started being dramatic though she smacked him on the arm. She gave him a stern look, hoping he'd pick up on the fact he shouldn't be swearing in front of their daughter. It was hard, since they both did it often but they had to learn. She was learning faster than he was by the looks of it.
However as she watched him go to Mel and pick her up, swinging her around it warmed her heart like it always did. She didn't think that would ever go away, watching the love of her life with their child. It was something that blew her mind. She would never have thought she would find someone like Kable, let alone settle down and have a kid with them. She had never really been one to find nice guys. She was lucky she found Kable. He was nice but he had that bad tinge to him, that sexy look which she was attracted to.
When he laughed at her she pouted slightly. It wasn't her fault she didn't understand. She had tried to be subtle as well and she felt herself blush slightly as he spoke loudly, letting Lawrence and Vera figure out what she'd asked. He then started leading her out the house and she followed. A barbeque sounded nice, it wasn't an overly common thing over in England. She hardly ever had one. She was also excited to be out in the Australian sun. As she stepped outside she smiled at the beauty of the backyard.
"This is beautiful." She smiled before pushing Kable slightly. "Why would you ever be interested in girls like you were when you could spend your time here?" She teased.

Kable could only laugh as his fiance pouted, leaning down to steal her lips for a quick kiss in apology. He knew that he had embarrassed her, possibly a little bit on purpose but he knew that she wouldn't take it to heart. Laurence and Vera didn't care about it either, they barely knew some of the things these days which Kable told them about, strange English words which he had picked up from speaking with the mates at the garage or from Rose.
At her words to him and the light shove he righted himself with ease, her tiny body pushing him doing nothing to budge the man. "It's pretty good ayy, dad and I made the deck when I was what, 14?" Kable said. "You were 15 mate, stop giving yourself too much credit," Laurence said with a laugh as he walked past towards the barbeque which was pushed up against the side of the house, a tray of sausages and rissoles on it with a pair of tongs balancing on top. "Right, well one year off ain't gonna make too much difference dad," Kable added, turning back to Rose. "But yes, fifteen then."
Kable winked at his fiance though, leaning down as he whispered into her ear, "who said I didn't have girl's back here hm?"

Rose took in the surroundings and as Kable spoke she took Melody from his arms. She looked down at the deck in appreciation as he said he made it. It was quite a young age though she smirked when his father shut him down. She smiled at her daughter, holding her up to rub noses with before Vera started cooing and she handed her over. She watched her daughter with her grandmother and she wondered how they felt being able to call themselves that. That seemed far too young to be grandparents.
"So talented at such a young age." She said with a smile as she looked at him, her eyes shining cheekily.
Then he leaned in close to her and she smirked at what he said. She wouldn't deny that hearing about Kable and past woman made her jealous. She tried not to think about how many he'd been with but she didn't exactly have a clean slate either. She put her mouth to his ear and decided to tease him. If he was going to be making some comments like that then it was only fair she got to make her own comments.
"I'm not surprised, I loved it when my boyfriends fucked me under the stars." She whispered back before jumping off the deck. "What time is it?" She asked loudly as she smirked to herself about her comment to Kable. She hadn't even bothered to ask since she arrived. She had forgotten to ask what the time difference was. She knew at least it wasn't early morning or late night since those times were quite obvious.

As Rose took their daughter from his arms he smiled as he watched the interaction between mother and daughter. It warmed his heart to see them together, once upon a time his nights spent with Rose had created his little baby girl. As Mel was given to Vera he only could chuckle as he watched his mother fawn all over his daughter, and her granddaughter. It was funny really, considering the fact that Vera was only a couple years older than him himself, the woman in her early thirties. Vera had taken the job of waitress at the bar which Laurence owned and had started dating the him when she was nineteen. Bronx had been born a year later; Kable had been nine.
"Of course, I'm just a child protege," Kable stated matter-of-factly as he puffed out his chest in an attempt to look like an absolute douche. He of course was joking but it was true that from a young age Kable preferred to use his hands when working, hence why he was a mechanic. He did all jobs by hand, never relying on his magic for it. The Australian believed it to be a waste of work to just do everything by magic, the point of doing jobs was to feel the satisfaction of knowing that you've created something with your own two hands.
When Rose leant up and whispered in his ear just as he had her only seconds previous he chuckled, trying not to let his jealousy show on his face. While they did joke like this, about past relationships and past lovers it was still a little bit of a stab to the heart. Not that he cared too much for it in the long run though, Kable had Rose right now, so he was happy. He was the one to be holding her at night and kiss her, not some other guy.
As he watched her jump off the deck he just grinned and walked to the railing along the deck, leaning against it. "About midday," Kable said, not having glanced at the clock but having guessed off the temperature of the day and just how high the sun was in the sky. He soon followed after her though, catching her up in his arms as he wrapped them around her waist, his lips moving to her neck. "Well your boyfriends may have fucked you under the stars babe, but I'm sure you much prefer being fucked until you see stars." With each word he moved along her skin, nipping at the skin he found there.
"Alright love birds, break it up, we got a kid here," Laurence said as he clanged the tongs together from the deck, making Kable pull away, licking his lips before he turned and walked back to the deck, swinging up over the railing so he sat on it, feet hooked on a lower beam to stop himself from falling backwards.

Rose nodded as Kable told her the time and she turned to look around the garden some more. It was quite warm and she was enjoying it though she knew she would be getting tired soon. Melody should be very tired since back in England it was way past her bed time. She knew she was probably hungry though which was why she was still awake She let out a tiny squeak when Kable grabbed her and she felt herself shiver at his words. She felt herself getting turned on and she knew it was bad, she was around his parents for crying out loud! His lips of her neck were torment though, that was her weak spot.
When his father told them to break it up she had to giggle though her cheeks went slightly red as well. They were being told off for how they were acting around their own daughter. Melody was use to it. Rose was sure that she was going to grow up very aware of how much in love Kable and Rose were and she would probably hate them for it but they weren't going to change for her. Her eyes followed Kable as climbed back onto the deck and she chose the long way, going to the steps before moving back to Kable. She lent between his legs, making sure not to push him backwards though.
"How's the bar going?" She asked as she let her hands draw circles on Kable's thigh. She wanted to bond with his parents as much as she could before she left. They were only there for a few nights. "I might need a nap this afternoon but I'd love to go see it later on." She said with a polite smile.

The Australian was well aware that whenever he latched his lips to his fiance's neck it would instantly set her in the mood, he had learnt that quite early in their relationship. Kable had been her blush as he had pulled away and all it did was make a satisfied smirk cross his face. He loved winding her up and while it wasn't exactly the appropriate time to be doing such a thing it was still amusing for him anyway.
As Rose moved to lean against his knees he let his hands move to her hair, letting it run through the long blonde locks as he smiled down at her from above, the hand on his thighs comforting. He gave her a quick kiss on the forehead in apology for his words before, he really didn't want to hear about Rose and other guys and he was sure she didn't want to hear about his past liaisons either so he might as well stop now.
"It's going well, never had an empty day at the pub, always a constant demand for the beers over here, not sure what it's like over in England though," Laurence said, placing the sausages onto the hot plate which was now hot, the sound of the meat sizzling had Kable's stomach grumbling, he really was hungry. "Of course we'd love for you to come along, although it's not really much," Vera said as she walked out, a simple tossed salad in a large wooden bowl, tongs in the bowl as well. "Rose honey would you mind helping me out with the drinks?" Vera asked her soon to be daughter-in-law.
Kable just nudged her forward, urging her to go as he gave her a smile. As Kable sat there he grinned when he saw his little girl waddling out onto the deck from inside. Hopping down he crouched down and opened up his arms for her to fall into. Picking her up he moved over to the bbq, showing his daughter her grandpa cooking.
This was the life, all of them being one big family like they would officially be soon. Kable would have never thought it would ever happen but it had, and he couldn't have been happier.
