Oliver watched as tears fell from Chase's eyes and he used his thumbs to wipe them away. She spoke with so much emotion and he knew exactly how she felt. It seemed strange that after such a long period of time things could go back to that in a matter of seconds. He did love her, he had for so long and after 5 years it was still just as strong. As she lent against his chest he let one of his hands go to her back while the other played with her hair.
"I don't plan on leaving you ever again Chase. I plan on staying by your side for as long as I live. My father won't touch you and if he tried I'll deal with him." He said softly as he held her to him.
It was like no time had passed. He didn't want to let her go but he was sure they were creating quite a scene out in the daycare lawn. The kids wouldn't care but he was sure her colleagues would be watching with curiosity. He pulled back so he could look at her again. Everything was so jumbled and complicated. He wanted to just have Chase with him but he knew they would have to sort a few things out first.
"Can you get off work early? Introduce me to my son and we can sort out the details from here." He said as he looked with love at the woman he should never have let disappear.

"Good, cause there won't be any more chances after this, you made me wait five years for you, ass," Chasity replied with a watery laugh as her tears began to dry up. She loved that he would touch her still, that he wiped away her tears just like he would when they were younger whenever she'd have a nightmare or would come back from Mungos depressed that her mother had no recollection of who she was. It was so familiar, his hands. She knew Oliver off by heart, she had been with him since she was thirteen after all, ten years she had loved the man even though five were spent without seeing him once.
"So you dealt with your father?" Chase said as she pulled away slightly to look up at Oliver, trying to decipher the expression on his face. "I don't want to ruin your father Oliver, my family is bad enough I'd rather not have you estranged from your parents as well. But...as mean as this is to say I'm a little glad that your father won't be up to anything more, I always had to be careful about everything before..." She trailed off, looking away. She didn't really want to tell Oliver about the fact that his father was an evil bastard, she didn't want to be cruel like that. She did however appreciate that he was putting their son first over his family, it was just like Oliver...her old Oliver.
"I'm sure someone can cover the rest of my shift," Chase said in reply, stepping back as she slipped her smaller hand into Oliver's, tugging it in the direction of the building as she lead the way. Continuing, she said, "Oh Carver already knows everything about you...and I mean everything," Chase said with a sweet smile although it hid a hint of cheekiness. "And also, I'm sure pop will want to meet you again, especially if you're going to be seeing Carver frequently. Oh, but you might want to dodge a few spells here and there, he's quite adamant on cursing your entire family."

Oliver chuckled when she called him an ass. There was his old Chase. He was grinning at her and he knew it would be a while before the grin wore ff. He had her back. He had his love back. He knew his whole life would be changed now. He had a son! It was like they were back to how they had been, just like that. Then she spoke about his father and he sighed. He didn't want to think about him anymore.
"All I'm going to say is that he won't be bothering us if he knows what's good for him. I'm sorry Chase but I want nothing to do with him and I know you secretly want that too. It might have been 5 years but I can still read you like a book." He said as he shot her a sly smile. He wondered how they would go about this. Would they have to start over and work there way back to where they had been or would they simply just fall back there?
He squeezed Chase's hand gently when she slid hers into his. He was glad she was willing to get time off and then she said Carver knew everything about him and he raised an eyebrow. Did she really talk that much about him? He couldn't know everything could he? It didn't matter. He knew nothing about his son and he wanted to change that. He wanted to make up for lost time.
Then she brought up her pop and he groaned. That man would have his balls on a silver platter. Though something she said irked him and he turned to her with a frown. He didn't know how to go about this in a light way and to be honest he didn't want to.
"Visit Carver? Chase I want you to move in with me." He stated. He had spent enough time away from her and no time with his son. He wasn't going to just see them on the weekends when they weren't busy.

"Mhm...I'm sorry Ollie I...I know that I shouldn't have said things about your dad, it wasn't fair of me so say such things," Chase said softly, feeling guilty for having such hate towards Popplewell Senior. She truthfully had hoped to have a father in the male since her own had died so long ago but she had realised since the first time they had met that she would never be accepted by such a man, but she had still kept her smile sweet until he had begun to threaten her, then Chasity had just given up all niceties and had left.
"You always have known me best," Chase replied back, squeezing Oliver's hand back as they walked towards the building. She knew that Carver would be inside somewhere probably all confused about what was happening. She was glad that Oliver seemed to be so accepting of the fact that he had a son, and the fact that her and he could slip back to like they used to be without any hassle. It was like they had never been apart at all.
As Oliver frowned at her she raised a brow in question, why was he upset? She had to wonder what was wrong. At his words she felt a little taken aback, having no idea what to say in reply. In any other circumstance she would have agreed heartily but she had things to worry about other than rebuilding her relationship with Oliver. "I'd love to Ollie, I would but I need to look after pops, I can't just leave him living alone, he's too old now to live by himself," Chasity said honestly, worried for the man who had raised her. Moving in with Oliver would be a dream come true, but she couldn't do it, at least not now anyway.

Oliver couldn't believe that this was happening. Chase was by his side, her hand in his and it was like no time had passed. He didn't know whether he was dreaming but he didn't dare try wake himself up. It was a good dream. He couldn't get his head around the fact he had a son. He knew he would love the kid but how could he just accept he had a five year old on? He had missed out on so much in his life. He knew right then and there he wanted another child. One he could be there for the birth of and watch grow.
It wasn't something he would bring up now of course. He had just got Chase back, he wasn't about to Chase her off. He would like to marry her first. He turned to her as he waited for a response. She would be moving in with him. He wasn't going to just visit them on the weekends. He had already been gone for so long. He wanted Chase in his arms every night and to see her face every morning. He wanted to spend as much time with Carver as he could.
As she spoke his frown deepened. That was an easy thing to get around. They could put him in a home or he could move into a room at the hotel. He would happily get someone else in to help look after him. It would probably help to take the stress off Chase.
"How about you all come and live with me. He could have his own room in the hotel. I could get someone in to help look after him? Please Chase. I'm not letting more time slip past us. Not between Carver and I." He said firmly. He didn't want to fight with Chase but if she really refused he would ask to have Carver come and live with him.

Chasity didn't know whether it was normal to be able to jump back into a relationship like there hadn't been a day spent apart but she'd been in love with the male beside her for nearly ten years, she knew everything about him and he knew everything about her, it was just natural to be with him. He had been her best friend and her lover, Chasity had trusted Oliver with her life and her heart. She could honestly say she would have died for him, and she was sure if a situation ever arose even now she'd do the same.
"I...can I think about it Oliver? It's just a big thing to move, plus I need to ask Carver too and pop...he refuses to go into a home. Just give me a couple of days to think it over, ok? I'll need to sort out some things and stuff... She looked up at him, hoping he wouldn't be mad with her decision. Even though they were already acting like lovers again she was hesitant about such a big thing as moving in together. Chasity knew that Oliver was trying to spend as much time as he could with Carver since he had missed the first five years of his son's life but it still was a big deal, moving in.
"I'm sure he'd be happy to stay with you for a couple of days anyway, see his father in the flesh," Chasity admitted, pushing open the door to enter inside the daycare once more, knowing where her son would be, "it's always much better in real life than hearing about you in stories from me."

Oliver frowned as Chase spoke but he sighed as he realised he was asking a lot of he. For the past 5 years she had probably lived in fear because of his father. A few days earlier he had thrown her out of his hotel only to end up having dinner with her. He had put her through a lot, like raising a child on her own. How could he expect her to just move in with him? It was unrealistic. He nodded at what she said. It would be a big change for everyone, including him,
Then she said that Carver would like to spend time with him and he suddenly realised not that he wasn't fighting for it what that would mean. He knew nothing of childcare. He wouldn't know the first thing because he didn't work with them and he hadn't had five years to get use to it. He didn't want to kill the kid or something. He knew it would be better with Chase there.
"I have no idea how to look after a kid." He admitted. He was sure she should know that. He had no opportunities in the five years she was gone. He looked around and his eyes landed on the small guy that was half his flesh and blood. He had no idea how he was going to open up to this guy and see him as his son after 5 years of not knowing he existed but he was definitely going to try. In fact he was probably going to spoil him rotten. "I'm sure he can't like me that much. I've been absent his whole life." He said suddenly feeling nervous.

"Don't worry Oliver, it's really all that easy. You just need to be firm with your words, especially with Carver, he likes to kick up a fuss sometimes...especially when it comes to bedtime. And food, don't give him too much of junk food, keep it healthy and make sure he eats all of it before offering desert as a treat." She smiled, she knew that Olifer would be fine, especially since Carver could pretty much do everything by himself now...or at least was trying to. "You'll be fine."
Chasity led the way to the playroom, stepping in as all eyes were drawn to the male holding hands with her. She knew the younger children were slightly in awe and a few of the girls giggled. She could see her fellow coworkers all looking at her in a mix of surprise and jealousy. Chasity had told them about Carver's father, and none had believed it when she had said he was hot. She had never told them his name of course and she could tell that they knew who the male was, he was quite famous after all.
"Carver baby can you come over here?" Chase called out before she turned back to Oliver to reply. "It's quite the opposite really, he worships you. I had explained to him as a child that his father wasn't there not because you didn't want to be but because you couldn't...I used to say that I was the Princess and you were my Prince but an evil magician locked me away from you and that one day you'd come to rescue me..." Chasity had he decency to blush, she knew just how child-like that sounded and she was embarrassed to say that she had used such a reference.
