Chase knew there was a party going on somewhere in the castle. He had heard multiple conversations about it and seen multiple people walking around dressed up. He really hadn't been in the partying mood so he didn't exactly care where it was. Instead he'd finished all the work he had which, like normal, wasn't actually due for at least a week. He didn't understand why people left things to the last minute and stressed themselves. He wasn't the type to sit around and leave work to go by. That was probably why he'd gotten head boy, or at least one of the reasons. He had only ever handed one thing in late and that had been after his fall out with Skylar. That had happened too long ago now for it to still effect his school work. He'd never admit it still bothered him but the truth was it did. Skylar was his only true friend really and now he couldn't talk to him. He had deserved everything he'd got, he'd figured that out a month into their silence but he couldn't build up the courage to go and apologise.
He was currently walking the halls. As head boy he had to do that occasionally and although he wasn't on duty tonight he couldn't be bothered sitting in the common room or his room and listen to drunken idiots return from the party. He had to wonder where it was because it was definitely not organised by the school. Sometimes he had to wonder why they let the students get away with so much since they definitely knew everything that went on. He had made it to the fourth floor and was still wandering aimlessly. A group of girls walked past him, whispering and giggling and he heard the words 'so hot' somewhere amongst it. He rolled his eyes as he kept walking, turning to look when he heard a thud behind him only to see one on the ground. He rolled his eyes and walked back to them. "Are you okay?" He asked as he offered a hand. He wouldn't normally help but they were all drunk and he wouldn't just keep walking. The girl took his hand with wide eyes and stood. She didn't say anything however and after a few seconds of just being stared at he shrugged and turned to keep walking. However this time the corridor ahead wasn't empty, there was another person in it.
As he stared at Skylar he felt his throat tighten slightly. He hated these moments, he hated seeing him and just walking past. He hated knowing that the male who had been his one real friend now thought badly of him. He deserved that but he still wished it wasn't the case. He walked forward, trying to act as if he didn't care. He could tell the male was drunk because of the way he couldn't quite walk in a straight line. They were getting closer and he was mentally preparing himself to walk past. He had heard from someone that Noah and Sky were no more and he knew that it would be hurting the male a lot. He wished he could just hug him and try make him feel better. If he hadn't wanted to break the other males jaw before he definitely did now. If he ever crossed his path then he wasn't sure he'd be able to stop himself. He had nearly reached the male and before he could stop himself words slipped out his mouth. "Hey Sky," he said for the first time in months. He shocked himself because he hadn't been planning on starting a conversation at all.
