Freya was excited. They hadn’t had a chance to meet up in weeks- WEEKS! Possibly even longer and now they were finally all getting together. Granted someone would be in the huff around ten minutes in, but that was the norm. They were all going to be together in the same room, with some lovely beers and Freya was really looking forward to it. They were a close bunch, the Tyler’s. Of course they had fought as children- which siblings didn’t? But they grew out of it, they were incredibly supportive of each other and very tight knit about their family.
Which was why Freya was taking quite badly that there was a possibility that her older brother had a girlfriend. She didn’t want to talk about it. She had met the girl when she and Sydney had gate crashed Dylan’s flat. They had only wanted to hand out, have a few drinks. This girl had clearly put ideas into his head. They had a huge row and Dylan had had the absurd idea that she didn’t care about him and that she used him! She loved her brothers. Both of them! She had incredibly close bonds with them, Finn because they were twins, they had done everything together. And Dylan… well because he was her big brother. He looked after her, especially when she came home from school the summer after forth year.
She supposed that was when everything changed- when she changed. No more good little girl Freya after that. She wasn’t a good little girl anymore. She and Finn were meeting him at a bar in Hogsmeade for a few hours. They decided that seeing Dyl was more important that dates this Hogsmeade weekend. Freya was dragging Finn by the arm. She was all but bouncing the whole way there. Her excitement was tangible. There he was, standing outside the Three Broomsticks. Her dragging was a little bit more as she picked up her pace. “Dylan!” She called over to him to get his attention, a huge grin on her face as she attacked him with a hug.

Finn laughed at his sister as she dragged him through the village of Hogsmeade. It seemed nobody was more eager than her to see Dylan again, at least judging by how impatiently she pulled Finn after her to the pub where they would meet their big brother. Admittedly on the inside Finn was just as eager for their sibling-time. To just have Freya at his side was just not enough. He was curios to hear about what Dylan had been up to these past few weeks they hadn't seen each other. Dyl's letters had been seriously lacking in information about what he was doing. But through Freya (Merlin knows how she always knew stuff like this before anyone else) he'd heard Dylan was somewhat aiming for a long-term relationship - which was absolutely not likely. Finn had decided he'd only believe that after he'd heard it from both the woman in question and Dylan himself. Finn lauhhed again as Dylan came in sight and Freya jumped at him. It was a carefree, elated laugh that always escaped his lips when he was around his favorite people in the world. Only Sydney was now missing in the picture, but he and Freya had agreed to forego dates at this Hogsmeade weekend for some family time. Grinning from ear to ear Finn closed up to his siblings and greeted Dylan with a pat on the back. "Did you survive Freya's attack, brother?"

Dylan was nervous about seeing his siblings today. Well, maybe nervous was the wrong term. He was more apprehensive than anything else. Freya had just met Annie a few days ago, and she hadn't seemed all too eager about his...new relationship. If he could call it that. It was such a strange thing he had going on with Annie right now. He loved her, he could admit that freely. But was she his girlfriend? Not really. They slept in the bed together, but not with each other. They kissed and held hands, but they weren't officially together and he didn't think she would ever be ready to say "I love you." She called him her "favorite", and he knew that meant she loved him to an extent, but he wanted the whole package. He wanted her love and he wanted her to accept that she loved him. But she wasn't ready for that pace, and he had to suck it up and be okay with what they were for now.
He made his way down the crowded streets of Hogsmeade. The wizarding world sure had multiplied over the years and the spawn was out and about today! These were the kids he was protecting by doing raids and things, and they were being crazy little pills and running around all over the place. God, he felt old. Had he really ever acted like that? But his train of thought was broken with the sound of his sister's voice. And his face broke into a smile. He finished the distance to her and scooped her up in his arms, falling back just a little as she tackled him. No matter their differences, she always did give pretty monumental hugs. He smiled and set her down, keeping his arm around her.
"Hello, beautiful. I missed you."
But he didn't let Finn get away with a measly pat on the back. No, that wouldn't do for Dylan. He pulled his little brother into a hug after he released Freya.
"Yes, I think I barely survived. How do you put up with this crazy girl all the time?"
He nudged Freya playfully in the side. It felt so good to be together just the three of them again. He didn't want to admit that he still longed for Annie.

Freya could tell that her brother was highly amused that she was so excited. She just couldn't help it. There had been weeks when they hadn't been able to hang out or talk. So now to be able to hang out, it was brilliant. She just wished that there were more Hogsmeade weekends so that they could see each other more often. She really couldn't wait to be finished with Hogwarts. Sure it was cool that she went to school in a castle- and lived in a castle for seven years of her life- but it got a little bit old. She was ready to enter the grown up world and live on her own. No parents, no teachers. She really was excited about that. The plan was that she and Finn would move in with Dylan when school finished! If this new girl didn't ruin those plans.
She enjoyed the big hug that Dylan gave her. No matter what you said about the Tylers, you couldn't deny that they went all out with their hugs. Freya loved her big brother, really and truly she did. They had an... interesting relationship. Sometimes he appeared to be more parental than he did a brother, but it had been that way for so long that neither of them noticed anymore. "I missed you too!" She told him, giving him another squeeze before letting him go.
She rolled her eyes at her brothers mocking her. They were always doing things like this, she knew that it would be Finn's turn later, and then Dylans, it was just how things went in the family. "You're both mean- and shutit you both love me and know that I'm the best sibling!" She said, dragging the pair of them into the pub to get a table.

Finn beamed at his brother and gladly hugged him back. "What can I say, she's my twin," he explained to Dylan's teasing question before he turned to Freya and put an arm around her. "Of course we love you." Rolling his eyes at Dylan at her action he let himself get dragged into the crowded pub.
Being able to look over many of the heads inside he directed Freya to a table where people were just leaving. "Please let's leave the heavy topics until we caught up with all the rest. I want to sit down for a while before I have to run after the first of you who storms off in a huff," he told both his siblings and gave his sister an imploring look. He knew she wanted to wash Dylan's brain or something after doing crazy stuff like a 'second date'. Finn knew they wouldn't be able to avoid the topic, but perhaps they could have some harmonious bonding time first. "So, did you get the whole day off?" he asked Dylan to introduce a topic.

Dylan let Finn take the lead on finding them a table. Every once in a while, he took a deep breath and released a little bit of his well-manicured control. He had honed it over the years to become this thing that he could not manage anymore. He always had to be in perfect control. And when the people in his life damaged that control, or stole it, he did not do well. Dylan was bad with change, and he was bad with his own imperfections. But small exercises in releasing said control, like not being in charge at the restaurant right now...that was a good and healthy thing to do.
When they arrived at the table, Dylan pulled out Freya's chair for her, then sat and started sipping the glass of water that the waitress set before him. He sat back and smiled casually at his brother.
"Yes, I got the whole day off. And once you two kids go back to school, I'm going home to sit on my arse and watch telly and drink beer with Annie. So don't get any bright ideas of getting drunk today and coming to my house, Miss Freya Bean."
He turned and winked at her, poking her in the ribs with his finger. He loved messing with her, and he even loved when she came to stay with him. But now that he had a steady more-than-friend, he needed some alone time more often.
"So tell me what's going on with the two of you. Finn, you're still with Sydney I'm guessing? And Freya, how many boyfriends do you have right now? Is it at least an even number?" He teased with a smile.

Finn glanced Freya's way anxiously when Dylan mentioned Annie. Too early, too early, were his siblings ignoring him on purpose? Hadn't he told them to leave heavy topics for later? Finn decided to take a sip of his butterbeer until Dylan adressed him. "Of course I'm still with Sydney. I've been with her for almost 7 years!" he teased his brother. "But yes of course we're still together. But talking about getting drunk, Freya organised a Christmas party and managed to get people quite drunk. But I think that was just for her to get things going with my dorm mate without anyone noticing through their own stupor." He smirked at his sister. "Tell him about your exploits at the lake, little sister. I'm sure Dylan is dying to hear all the details," he teased his sister, but at the same times covered his ears for show. He was sure Freya wouldn't tell Dylan any more than she'd told him, if she even managed to get a word in between when Dylan would start questioning and reprimanding her. This was harmless fun and Finn was almost sure this wouldn't cause anyone of them to seriously lose their good humour.
