Sky held the crumpled letter in shaking hands, the paper slowly soaking up the tears which slipped from reddened eyes. How could Noah do this to him, after they had just finally found something special, something that Sky had wished for. It had taken every ounce of his courage to come out to Noah, let alone to then have a relationship blossom from that day in the Hospital Wing, but to have it all ripped from his grasp all with this one, stupid letter. It wasn't even a proper letter, just a few short lines, brief but it still held all the meaning of their time together. It broke Sky's heart.
Noah was gone, and now Sky was left all on his own. There was things to distract himself with, like Quidditch and his upcoming exams but it still couldn't take away from the pain. It had already been a few days, and here Sky was, hiding away in the empty classroom bawling his eyes out. How did one stop the pain? To ease the stabbing, throbbing ache which tore his chest in two. It was excruciating but Sky, being the ever pessimist that he was had to try his best to smile for the public, to show everyone that he was okay. There was no need to worry about him.
"Damn you Noah...god damn you..." Sky whispered to his hands, the ink slowly seeping from his tears. He just wanted to go find that damn boy and punch him in the face before re-dumping him just for the pain that he cause. Why did he have to feel so hurt?
Through his tears and anguish, Sky didn't even notice the door to the classroom open, or the person who entered.

Finn had been on his way up to the Ravenclaw tower. He was in no hurry to get there. He had nothing to do anyway. He was strolling along the 6th floor corridor when he heard a noise. It had been quiet, but Finn was sure he’d heard something. Curious he went to investigate. The Ancient Runes class room seemed empty which didn’t surprise Finn. He was sure he’d heard the sound in the other direction. Quietly he opened the door to the empty class room. “Oh,” Finn mumbled as he saw somebody sitting there and was about to retreat and close the door behind him when he took a closer look at the boy. He was crying! Now Finn couldn’t just walk away anymore. “Er… are you alright?... Sorry, stupid question… Can I help you?” he asked carefully and approached the boy.

Sky heard someone speak as he quickly wiped the tears, trying to look normal even though it was obvious that whoever it was had seen him crying. It was unsightly, it was why Sky had come to this room in the first place since he had been sure no one would be here. Sure on the odd occasion someone used it for some practice but that was rare.
"I'm fine...I think..." Sky said with a forced smile, trying his best to play the part of the happy Hufflepuff that he was known for. He was the Captain of the Quidditch team, friends with Teddy Lupin, Chase Wiggins and Noah... Bad Sky! Don't think about him! You're only going to make yourself cry again! Sky mentally berated himself for lingering on the past. Noah was gone, and there was nothing he could do to make him come back...
"Really, don't worry about me, just having a break in here, taking some time out, you know, the usual," Sky stumbled over his words, obviously babbling. He couldn't help it though, when he got nervous he tended to talk a little too much.

Finn raised an eyebrow. Did that guy think he was stupid? Telling him he was fine when he obvioulsy was not. "Sure you were just having a break. Looks rather like a break down to me. But, well, if you're fine, I guess I have no business here," he said slowly. He looked around in the room. "Or do you mind if I stay? I guess I'll get more reading done here than in the loud common room." With that he pulled out the next chair. Sitting down he retrieved a book from his bag and started reading. He was sure sooner or later either the boy would spill, he'd cry again or flee. Well, if he didn't want to get off his chest whatever had him so desperate, that was fine by Finn, but he couldn't stand it to know someone was miserable and not do his best to make him feel better. And so he waited. "Did you know unicorns only mate once in seven years?" he asked in the room as he'd reached a curious passage in his book. "Oh wait, I think I misread that. Sorry."

"You're Tyler aren't you? One of them. I remember you from Potions in fourth year. Im Skylar by the way. If you didn't remember." Sky said quick, still rambling as he tried to divert the subject away from his teary eyes and running nosr. Scrunching the papers in hand tighter, Sky forced a smile. It was weak, half hear tr d but still a smile nevertheless. Better than nothing.
There was an awkward silence which settled where Sky purposfully avoided looking at the other boy in the room, just because he didn't want to have to admit to crying alone in the empty classroom. You would have to be an idiot to not notice how pathetic it was, but Sky didn't want to burden the other boy with his silly problems.
At his statement Sky lwt out a small giggle out of surprise. How utterly random. It was weird but it was comforting. "Odd huh," Sky said in reply. Unicorns what a strange thing to say.

Finn smiled encouragingly at the boy. Of course he would know of his sister. Everyone/every boy knew Freya. But Finn paid attention, too. He could remember the boy, but was still glad for the introductiin, because he was sure he wouldn't have gotten the name right with the first try. "Yeah, you would know my sister, being in the same house and all. I'm Finn," he commented and introduced himself.
Finn was a bit disapointed that his comment about unicorns hadn't seemed odd enough for the other boy to laugh properly about it. It seemed he had to try harder. "You know, I won't laugh at you," he said easily while keeping his eyes carefully at the book. "I'm sure you'll feel better when you talk about what has you so sad. And I'm here, so why not tell me? I'd feel realy bad if I left you here - like that," he explained. And he really did. He didn't like it when people weren't as happy as he was. He stretched out his legs to sit more comfortably and turning a few pages in his book he waited.

Sky scratched his neck, sheepishly. Yeah he knew her, they were in the same house and year but it had been a while since they had spoken, since Sky had talked to many people actually. He knew he was being antisocial and silly but Sky just felt like he couldn't really smile anymore. And what Sky was there if he couldn't smile.
At the boy's words Sky bit his lip. Could he trust this guy? Trust wasn't even the word, it was more like did Sky have the courage to talk about his own feelings? He had barely been able to come out to his friends last year, let alone have the courage to tell anyone else.
"I had a boyfriend just recently, my first relationship since coming out and he sent me a letter, a frigen letter to break up with me." Sky said softly, his hands still scrunched around the paper. "You think you know someone then they just do something so out of the blue that it makes you question everyone and everything they do, you know?"

So his boyfriend had broken up with him. Boyfriend – girlfriend, it was the same right? “That sounds tough,” Finn told Sky and he meant it. Break-ups were always nasty and then a break up delivered by owl was even more so. Finn really felt for the guy. He threw his book back in his bag and stood. “Must be a hard time for you, but don’t let yourself get crushed by this.” He walked over to Sky and brotherly patted his back before he put his arm around his shoulders and pulled him up. “But it’s no use to sit here in an empty class room and brood. You need some distraction. Let’s go to the group commons, how does that sound? I’m sure we can have some fun there. And if that guy didn’t even have to guts to break up with you face to face, I’m sure he isn’t worth it to be mourned too long. Come”
