Finn needed to get out of the castle, he needed to breathe. The winter wasn’t his favorite season, by far. He was stuck up in the castle all the time because the weather was just cold and wet and there seemed to be permanently falling something from the sky. Not that he didn’t like water, but he’d much rather put it to better use than just letting it soak his skin. That was why he immediately grabbed his cloak when the sun managed to peek out among the clouds. Even if it was only for a few minutes, he wanted to get out of the stuffy castle. But now when he was wandering about in the open, having breathed lungs full of ice cold but fresh air he couldn’t bring himself to feel completely content. He wanted some company to share this feeling with, one person to talk to would be enough, more would be even better. He covered his cooling head with his hood. Perhaps he would come across someone soon. Someone had to be out here!

Gracie King walked down the stairs towards the Quad on the Ground floor, deciding to work from the bottom up, to sort of shake things up if you will. The sixth year Gryffindor had awoken this morning to find that all of her belongings, aside from her book that she let Orion borrow, had gone missing, no doubt the handy work of her roommates Maleficent and the Sheriff. So as a result she spent the first half of the morning, even skipped breakfast, making a list of the things that had gone missing in hopes that someone would be nice enough to help her find them and return it to her. Normally she would have just ignored it, however they took everything, including her clothes, and she kind of needed those back as soon as possible.
Taking the stack of papers she made and copied out of her bag, Gracie began to walk towards the entrance doors smiling to those who passed her by, even the ones she disliked, just because her morning wasn't the best doesn't mean she had to put everyone down. Pushing the double doors open she winced as cold air assaulted her face.
Gracie walked towards a pillar and began separating the top parchment from the rest. Grabbing a price of paper she held it to the door with one hand while putting the stack between her arm and her side. Grabbing her wand from her bag she pointed it and whispered a simple sticking charm before grabbing another piece and repeating the process.
'Get out of my way freak!' someone said from behind Gracie causing her to turn around in surprise. Before Gracie could mutter an apology the person rammed their shoulder into her causing her papers to fly everyone. Shocked and embarrassed Gracie just starred at the papers as they floated to the ground. Why were people so mean? She wondered while she bent down to pick up the papers.
Tossing her hair over her shoulder she looked up and bit her lip. Someone accidentally stepped on her paper, 'I am so sorry but....your sort of standing on my paper, she muttered a blush credping onto her cheeks.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," Finn apologised as someone was kindly telling him that he was standing on a piece of paper. Only then did he notice a girl kneeling on the ground. How came he didn't notice her? He should pay better attention in the future. Picking up the piece of paper and casting a quick cleaning spell on it he gave it to the girl before he knelt down next to her and helped her gather the rest of the papers. By the fifth or so he picked up he turned it around to read it. "You're missing your things?" he asked the girl astonished, "How did that happen? Do you need help?" Some people really had it worse than others. And some made other people's lifes worse. Finn always felt bad for people who didn't have such an considerably easy life as had he. Of course he had to help.

Gracie smiled up at the boy and shook her head as she continued to pick up her papers, ‘There’s nothing to be sorry for, it’s not like you did it on purpose,’ she said with a shrug, smiling softly when he began to clean the papers with magic. ‘Thank you, ‘ She muttered as she looked around The Quad for the person that shoulder bumped her. Her eyes resting on a group of girls in her year and house, laughing in the corner as they looked at her, then with a flip of their hair they disappeared into the school. Turning back to the boy who looked to be a year older than her she bit her lip. ‘My housemates thought they were being funny,’ Gracie said her voice taking on a harsh tone as she stood up, they just made her so mad, couldn’t they just leave her alone? ‘Would you? I mean I don’t want to take you away from your day or anything but I really could use it,’ Gracie said, her grin widening at the offer.

Finn kindly smiled back at the girl as she thanked him. His eyes followed hers as she scrutinized a group of girls. Obviously they were her housemates. He really couldn’t stand bullying. “Of course I’ll help you,” he assured her while standing up as well. “Why don’t we go after those idiots and ask them where they hid your things? I’m sure they wouldn’t want to fall victim to Freya’s gossiping or whatever they can be threatened with.” He winked at her and put an arm around her like he often did with his sister and lead her after the girls that had just left the quad. He wasn’t sure if she’d like a confrontation, but he knew as well that those girls wouldn’t stop their bullying just because their victim kept her mouth shut and didn’t dare to stand up to them. He’d take care of that. And if need be, he’d get Freya involved. She was far better with confrontations with girls than he was and she got furious when she saw this kind of behavior.
