Chase bustled through the streets, her arms laden with bags filled with assorted things. Things from new clothing, to some new books and even some new ingredients. Chase hadn't been to Diagon Alley in a while, and for some reason she couldn't remember the last time she had. It had been a hard run for her, what with having a car accident and loosing her memory. It was hard, since Chase always felt as if something was missing, something important was...gone. The healers at Mungos said she may never regain her memory, so Chase tried not to linger.
Still, sometimes she would burst into tears because she felt as if she were missing something, or someone. There was someone who had ripped a hole out of her heart, and Chase felt that emptiness everyday. So, that was how she found herself the distraction of shopping. Though she didn't have much money, she had finally saved up enough from the odds and end jobs she was doing at the Fiery Dragon. Sadly, Oliver her boss had stopped speaking with her, and had actually just retired to his room and she never saw him again. The whole place soon had new management and Oliver was never seen again.
It was strange for Chase, trying to find something to do. She wanted to see Katy or Rose, but both of them were so busy with their lives Chase didn't want to disturb them with her petty worries. She wasn't like them, mothers who had families and were finally happy. Chase was all alone, and that had her heart aching for something more, even just a friend to call on when she was lonely.
Lost in her thoughts she wasn't noticing where she was going, walking straight into someone as she fell back, the contents of her bags spilling around her. She was quick to pick them up though, apologising profusely as she did, a blushing red coating her cheeks. God, she was such a klutz. "Sorry, so sorry, I didn't see you there- I was- sorry, sorry."
