Chandler bit her bottom lip while she pushed her food around her plate with her fork, glancing occasionally at the Slytherin waiting for her newly found brother to show up. The two hadn’t talked much since she found out who he really was to her and to be honest she wasn’t quite sure how she felt about it yet. On one hand she was happy to know what happened sixteen years ago and why she was put up for adoption, however she didn’t have a clue where this left her and Chase as well as her and her real mother. Were they going to act like one big happy family? Or were they going to act like she didn’t know and act normal? These were one of the many thoughts that plagued Chandler’s mind after talking with Chase last month and judging by the fact that they hadn’t spoken since she suspected the later was more likely. But she still cared about him and was worried sick about how he was doing since the very public fight he had with his now ex-girlfriend and ex-best friend. She had been meaning to ask him about it for the past week but she never saw him, he seemed to always skip his meals and never roams the hallways after class anymore.
Standing up Chandler left her friends without a word, ignoring their protests Chandler walked towards the Dungeons hoping she would catch a Slytherin walking to the Great Hall. Enough was enough she was going to get answers now.
Luck, it seemed, was on Chandler’s side tonight, because a small Slytherin first year was walking out of what looked like the Slytherin Common Room alone. Perfect. Chandler walked towards the small girl and told her to fetch Chase for her.
‘I’m not your bitch,’ the eleven year old said with a glare causing Chandler’s blood to boil a bit. Well then…After a few threats and a small curse sent her way the small first year left Chandler in the cold, dark, corridor to go find her brother. Chandler even told the girl to tell him she was terribly hurt, which only confused the first year more because ‘why the fuck would he care’. She was a charming young lady.
Chandler folded her arms and paced back and forth biting her bottom lip as she waited for her brother to show up, not realizing how much she missed him. outfit Miss Me?

Chase's life had crumbled. Everything he had known and loved an cared for, minus his family, was gone. Skylar, his best friend since the first train ride in, was gone. After seven long years, he had finally realized that Chase wasn't worth his time. Just long enough for Chase to become extremely dependent on the guy. Not only had he lost him, he'd finally blurted out the truth and yet it had meant nothing. And then to top it all off, he had lost him to Noah. The one guy who above all others, Chase hated. Firstly because of Imogen, secondly because he was a fucking twat and now because he was dating his best friend, poisoning his mind against him.
And not only had Chase's rock, his best friend, his brother left him. Imogen he left him as well. Well, no, he wasn't sure about that. No-one had specifically left the other but the fight had confirmed it was indeed over. He had said things he didn't mean, he had abused her mentally and nearly physically and that was something he couldn't forgive himself for. She had done nothing but put up with him and then they'd had their fight. Then she had been there during his fight with Skylar and he had been too angry, to scared to let her in. He had pushed her away like he always did. He'd pushed them both away and now he had no-one.
He had gone back to the shell he'd promised himself he'd be although now instead of pushing people out of the way, he avoided them. He tried to become invisible, finish his senior year as well as he could so he could go in to a high-paying job to support her. He would look after Chandler who he hadn't spoken to since he had revealed his true identity. Imogen and Skylar both knew about her too. No doubt the rest of the school would find out sooner or later. He knew Noah was probably thrilled about this turn of events, leaving Chase with nothing and he got it all. Imogen as his friend and Skylar as his lover. He tried to hate the boy but he couldn't.
He knew that it was all his fault. He hated himself for the whole ordeal and he knew that without Sky and Imogen he wasn't going to enjoy his last year. He had gone out and gotten drunk the first night, drowning his sorrows in alcohol but it had just led to him crying alone in the forest with the anger and hate he felt for himself. Now he was going to classes, sitting at the back hidden from view, the opposite of wherever Sky, Noah or Imogen sat. He never met their eyes, never looked at them because he wasn't sure he could handle seeing their happiness with him gone. Or the sadness he had caused them.
He was in the common room, in one of the dark corners away from the rest although they all knew he was there. At first a lot of people had thought he would be weak because of what had happened but anyone who had tried to talk to him he'd snapped at. He hadn't gone out of his way to talk to anyone though. He was currently waiting until the very end of dinner, not wanting to be there while the hall was full so the rest of the seventh years could look at him, knowing everything. He got up with a sigh and walked out of the common room, looking down. He stepped out just as he heard a voice that he recognised, he looked up to see a first year walking away and Chandler left in the dungeon.
"Are you looking for me?" He asked, not really in the mood, no emotion in his voice. She was probably here to scream at him, to hate him for what he'd done.

Chandler looked up when she heard the portrait door open again; shocked at how fast the first year was in getting her brother, then again he was probably right there meaning she didn’t have to do anything. Chandler bit her lip again, his appearance made her heart break slightly; he had bags under his eyes which suggested lack of sleep and a scowl on his face. He looked like crap which was only to be suspected, as well as his emotionless voice when he spoke to her. Folding her arms Chandler looked at her brother with a raised eyebrow, knowing very well that he wouldn’t want sympathy from anyone, as he didn’t think he deserved it, so she wasn’t going to give him any.
‘I am. I wanted to talk about…our situation, want to go to the kitchens to talk?’ Chandler asked uneasily as she watched the older Slytherin hoping he would agree. The ‘situation talk’ was just a ruse though, all she wanted to do was get her brother away from his House, get food in him, and perhaps even make him smile.
‘You look like shit by the way,’ She said with a small smile as she waited for him to walk with her to the kitchens hoping she wouldn’t be turned down because levitating a screaming seventh year Slytherin would draw too much attention for her to be comfortable with.

Chase looked at his sister, the one he'd only properly met once yet known about his whole life. She was beautiful, of course she looked like their mother so she had no choice. He felt that protective tug he always did as he looked at her. Even now, with no emotions left he still wanted his baby sister to be okay. That's all he'd ever wanted. He remembered the first few months when they'd been on the streets and he'd spent all his time making his sister smile even though she'd only been young and not understood what was happening. He raised an eyebrow when she spoke. She wanted to talk. She would have heard about what had happened. Did people know about them yet?
He nodded and when she didn't move he guessed he was leading the way. He started walking, the kitchens not being far. This at least meant that he wouldn't have to go to the hall for dinner which meant he could avoid people. He should go to the kitchens more often. He walked, wondering what she had to say. Did she want to disown him? He wouldn't blame her. He wouldn't want a brother like himself. Of course he'd still watch over her, he wasn't about to let idiots hurt her even if she didn't want him around.
When she spoke he merely shrugged. He probably did. He wasn't exactly looking after his appearance. What was the point? He didn't have to look good for anyone, he wasn't trying to make friends. The teachers didn't care what he looked like and it wouldn't affect his grades. So he was merely clean, not good looking. He looked over. She looked good, compared to the skinny, young toddler he'd left her as although of course he'd watched her grow over her years at Hogwarts with him, even when she hadn't known who he was.
"I know you know. You don't have toe ease your way in to the subject." He stated. He wasn't angry, he just couldn't be bothered with it. They reached the kitchen and he walked in, nodding at the elves working there.
