Lacy had gotten up early, she was staying in a hostel at the moment, under a false name of course. She felt both safer, and completely safe whenever she stayed in a hostel. On the one hand she wasn’t going to be attacked in the middle of the night, there was a nice warm bed and she get to shower daily. On the other hand, she was traceable. Even if she didn’t give out her real name, it was unusual to see a girl so young travelling on her own. And she didn’t exactly blend into the background. Her delicate features and jet black hair stuck in peoples minds. If her parents were to come looking for her people would remember that they saw her.
Lacy was out in Paris today, it was a big day, there were meant to be huge crowds in the city so Lacy was hoping to make a fair bit of change. She needed it, the money she had stolen from her parents vault was running low. Lacy thought that they would have stored more money in the house, but when you didn’t want for anything, it was easy to let money run low before nipping out for more. Oh how she resented her parents. She resented their lifestyle. They threw away money on frivolous events and parties that were so self indulgent it hurt. There were young witches and wizards who barely had enough to eat and that was what pureblood society spent their money on?
Lacy set up her guitar case in front of her, and broke the guitar out, tuning it. She had a bottle of water at her side, she was ready to sing the day away. She started with a song, singing her heart out, it was early, there weren’t many people about. But by midday she had a small crowd. She had a puddle of money in her case, it was a good day, but she was out of water, she needed a break before continuting. She smiled at the crowd, saying she would be back soon, backing up.

Xayne was on the hunt for people to join the band. He was hoping for a group of people to join, all of whom who shared his passion and love for music and would be willing to help him show the world the joy that came with playing and singing. Xayne had always loved music, ever since he was a child. His father had taught him guitar, the man having been a musician himself. As his mother used to tell him as a child, she had first met his father when he had been skipping out on class playing his guitar down at the grounds of Beauxbatons. Sometimes, Xayne wishes his parents were still here, but sadly it just was not meant to be. He already had written and composed a song for them in their memory, and he had played it once for his adopted mother who had cried much to his surprise.
As he walked the streets of London he began to wonder whether he would find anyone who could join his band. But Xayne wouldn't let his hopes get diminished, there was always hope in the world, you just had to look closely to spot it.
With that thought in mind, Xayne had smiled to himself, a new spring to his step. He had a feeling that he'd find someone soon, he was sure of it. As he heard music as he approached a gathering of people Xayne grinned widely, curious. As he made his way through the people gathered he found himself at the front before a young girl, barely even out of school yet she was there busking. He wondered if she was a muggle girl, but whoever she was she was talented. Xayne stood there as the girl continued to play and sing, mesmerized with her voice. Xayne decided then and there he'd have her join his band for sure.
As the girl finally took a break everyone seemed to disperse, leaving Xayne standing there before the girl alone as people continued to walk past. "Lu, you are in my band," Xayne said, the name he dubbed her a nickname from Lutin in French which meant pixie. It suited her, she was tiny yet she held such a strong voice, she certainly had a good set of vocals. "And you can't decline either. You're in whether you like it or not," Xayne said with a wide grin, happy to have found a member for his band finally.

Lacy looked up, surprised when the older man approached her. Well, she thought older, he couldn't be old maybe twenty, twenty one. A few years older than her anyway. His proposition made her nervous. This was Paris, she knew that not everyone could be trusted, this 'band' he was talking about could well have nothing to do with music. That most certainly wasn't the type of band she wanted to be in. Prostitution was not a place she would ever go, no matter how desperate she was for money.
There was a part of her, looking over this man though, that recognised him. A face she had seen a long time ago that she just couldn't quite place. He also seemed so happy. Like he knew her, like he had found her. And he called her Lu, maybe he thought that she was someone else, it was highly possible in a city as big as Paris. He just seemed so genuine though, so happy to see her, to hear her. "Excuse me?" She said, her confusion showing in her voice. "I don't know who you're talking to, but my name isn't Lu. Who are you?" She asked, she was proud to say that there was no fear in her voice. It didn't tremble.
The man before her probably had no clue that she was just a scared little sixteen year old witch on the run. It was best that way. She needed to stay safe and hidden, for all she knew he was working for her parents.... if they were even looking for her. On the other hand though, if hid offer was genuine, he was giving her the chance to be in a band, a real band. The chance to embrace music like she never had before, and that wasn't something she could just turn away. She looked the man over, she wanted to trust him, really she did, but she kept her hand near her pocket, stroking her wand through the material, it made her feel safe.

"Ah, excusez mon impolitesse, my name is Xayne Potter chère Madame," Xayne said with a small bow, "I refer to your name 'Lu' as in Lutin. French for Pixie...you're so small yet you hold so much power in your voice, it's fascinating." He stood again, smiling all the while.
He really wanted her in his band, he needed her in his band. With her there, he'd certainly be able to compose songs which would certainly suit her vocal range and pitch, Xayne was talented when it came to knowing what songs suited what types of voices. Like he himself could sing hard rock as his voice range was vast, so he could hit both high and low notes.
He shoved his hands into his pocket, rocking back onto the balls of his feet. wondering what he was supposed to do know. What could he do to get her to trust him...he knew he probably looked like some pedophile who wad trying to pick up some young girl off the street but his intentions were pure. Xayne just really wanted her voice and skills, that was all. She could easily be a star with a little training, and polishing up already present talent was easy, it just meant a bit of practice.
"How about I buy you something to drink? I'm sure you're thirsty," Xayne asked, spotting her empty bottle of water. "Milkshakes sound good, Lu?"

Lacy nodded when the man- Xayne- told him his name. He was a Potter. Lacy fought to keep the smile off her face. Her great uncle Sirius, he had been friends with a Potter once. Real good friends, she hadn’t been told about it in her family history lessons. She had looked other places to find out about their friendship. Sirius had been like her. He didn’t want the Black lifestyle. It wasn’t for them. She wanted freedom. A life for herself, hence why she was sixteen years old and living on the streets.
It was when he tried to translate what Lutin meant, she got amused. ”Nous sommes en France mon ami, je sais comment parler français.” She said, a small smile on her face. “But thank you. Singing is a passion of mine. Though I don’t see what you mean by fascinating really.” She said, now smiling herself. This mans happiness seemed to be infectious.
She was tempted by his offer, she couldn’t deny it. He was offering her the chance to persue music, her passion. She couldn’t even imagine what it would be like to be able to live and play music, but with other people to support her in that. Not to be scolded for the very idea of it. To maybe not have to live rough while doing it. It would make her both more and less safe. She was conflicted. But she made the resolve to hear the boy out. So when he offered to take her for a milkshake she nodded. “Okay. Sounds good.” She said, picking up her guitar case and beginning to walk, mostly aimlessly seeing as she didn’t know anywhere that sold milkshakes.
“So…” Lacy said, her morbid curiosity pushing her. “Tell me about this band.” She knew that unless this man turned out to be a pimp or extremely creepy, she was in. She wanted the chance to play music. She needed it even.

"C'est tout à fait vrai petit," Xayne said with a amused laugh. Of course she'd be able to speak French, she was there after all. But still, English seemed to work just as well too, "It is fascinating, I can hear it," Xayne replied to her statement, tapping the side of his head with a mysterious glint to his eyes. He could hear it, the potential she had. Music had the power to do great things for people, and Xayne just knew that Lacerta could have the power to capture a room with her voice. She was already pulling a crowd like this, imagine her with a microphone and a stage.
Xayne knew that if he had Lacerta in his band he could go far. He was sure she'd want to, he could tell that she loved music just as much as he did. Xayne had found his escape in his music, in his voice, it had been the place to run away to when he had found himself missing his past, his family. He had never had a real family, bouncing from home to home throughout his years at Hogwarts, nearly ever year switching homes to a new one. It was hard but Xayne could survive by putting his thoughts into notes, pen to paper as the words just poured from his heart onto the white sheet. The French man had lost count of how many songs he had written since childhood, he had been playing since he was about four.
Xayne grinned widely when Lu agreed, "magnifique." He saw her pick up her guitar case and being who he was, he gently took it from her, slinging it over his own shoulder. "Don't worry, I won't steal it," Xayne added with a chuckle, "promesse." He hoped that she wouldn't think him too suspicious, he truly wasn't some weird guy trying to get her to follow him then force her into prostitution or something along those lines. He was genuinely interested in her music.
As Xayne led the way down the street, knowing a quaint little cafe down the road which had fabulous vanilla milkshakes. "Well, a band that I will make, they're only me right now," Xayne said sheepishly, a little embaressed, "J'ai été voler en solo. I was hoping you'd be the first member."

Lacy laughed at the man’s response to her cheeky jab about them being in France. She blushed a little at his compliment on her voice. She knew that she was a little girl with a big voice, but she never really got complimented on it. Not from someone who seemed to actually be interested in recruiting her. Music was such a huge part of her. She loved music, and she felt like no matter what music loved her back. It was the opposite of how she felt about her family really.
Xayne took her guitar and Lacy tensed. She wasn’t going to fight him over it, he was much bigger than she was. And she knew that he was only being polite, but that was her guitar. It was her prized possession. If anything happened to it she really wouldn’t be responsible for her actions. She loved her guitar far too much to let just anyone cart it about. People didn’t understand how important a guitar was to an artist. Especially when it was said artist’s only guitar.
Lacy followed the mans lead, she really hoped he would turn out to be someone she could trust. She wanted to have someone to trust. Honestly she was lonely. She didn’t regret running away even a little, but what no one told you about being on the run was that you were really very alone. There was no break to just chat to people you knew. She had to remain anonymous. It was hard for someone so young and so used to depending on other people.
Lacy bit back a laugh when Xayne told her that she would actually be the first member of his band, he was flying solo, so to say. He seemed so genuine, and something in her gut was telling her to trust him. They arrived at a little café and Lacy took a seat, studying the man before her. “Ok, je vais rejoindre le groupe, mais comment ça marche? J'ai besoin de vous assurer qu'il est sécuritaire.” She said told the man before her, deciding to trust her instincts. She had run away once before, she could do it again. “The thing is, I’m not exactly legal, I’m still meant to be at school… and at home.” She told him, biting her lip. She didn’t tell him she was living rough exactly, but she needed to make it known that she wasn’t some kid who still lived with mummy and daddy.

Xayne didn't notice Lu tense when he took her guitar, he really wasn't that observant of a person so he didn't take any note at all, happily continuing on his way. Xayne wasn't one to care about what others thought about him and he lived life the way he wanted to. He liked to be nice, to be a gentleman so he had taken her guitar without thinking about what she'd have thought about him doing that. He just did what he did because he wanted to.
"Parfaitement sûr ma chère, rien à craindre. Nous venons de jouer de la musique que nous aimons," Rainer replied in French, "I even compose some of the songs, I'm sure you'd also do that, suis-je le droit petit lutin?" He was glad that she seemed comfortable enough to laugh at him though, that was the first hurdle over with at least. Now all he had to do was try and convince her to join now, he'd be needed a good argument.
"Ah, so a runaway are we?" Xayne said, handing Lacy a menu as he already knew what he was going to have, "that's not a good thing, running away from home petit lutin - oh and order whatever you like." He smiled, folding his hands on top of the table, leaning forward Xayne said excitedly, "but to tell you the truth I'm actually going to move to London, to try and make it big there, which is why I'm looking for band members first, to try and get the band together here, release some songs and then move."

Lacy nodded when the man before her said that this was safe. She wanted to believe him. She honestly did, she wanted to believe him just for the sake of music! She wanted to believe that music really could bring people together, that it could be her savior. Lacy smiled when Xayne told her that he wrote her own songs, then asked her if she did the same. "I do have a few, actually," She told him, the smile on her face genuine, it was the one she always wore when commenting on music. She shined when music was brought up.
Lacy blushed when Xayne commented on her being a run away. That was true, she guessed. She just didn't really want to admit it to him. She was afraid he might want to know answers, but thus far he hadn't asked for so much as a name, so she guessed it would be okay for him to know. She accepted the menu he handed to her, browsing it lightly, already knowing she was going to have the chocolate milkshake, it was her weakness. Lacy shook her head when Xayne said running away wasn't good.
She didn't comment, she just waited for him to continue speaking, she wasn't going to divulge her whole life story to the man she had just met. She nodded when he said he wanted to get a band together, but fought she urge to shudder when he mentioned moving to London. Her parents lived near there, just outside of London. But then, she supposed they would never suspect her to have stuck around in England, maybe she would be safer there, right under their noses. "How are you planning on finding other band members?" Lacy asked, placing the menu down on the table.
She was curious now. She wanted in, this guy seemed to have a plan, the fact that he knew what he wanted to do made her trust him more, it was hard to come up with a music plan on the spot, or at least it was in Lacy's opinion.

"Ah, so you compose as well, merveilleux," Xayne said with a clap of his hands. Oh this girl just kept getting better and better! Lu was obviously talented, but writing her own songs too meant that Xayne had been write, she was the one he needed for his band, he was sure she could be of great asset plus her love for music seemed genuine to him. "Vous devez les jouer pour moi un moment, lutin."
As they sat at the small cafe Xayne felt at peace, quite happy in that moment. He had found what he had been looking for and from her current attitude he knew that Lu would give into his proposal. She seemed to be the type who was passionate about music, she would come to him for his offer for sure. "Why, when I find the right person I will know if I want them or not," Xayne said with a chuckle, "just like how I knew I wanted you. I had heard you playing your music a little ways off down the street and I was captivé."
As the waiter came round, Xayne handed back the menu, saying with a grin, "vanilla milkshake s'il vous plaît." The waiter nodded with a happy smile, writing it down on his note pad as Xayne turned to Lu, "and for the Miss we will have...?" He waited till she spoke to the waiter before he continued with his earlier conversation, "but of course I would have to make sure they are well fitted into the band, you must have a degree of love for this world of the magic of music before I could even look twice at your talent. You, Lu, you have that. I can hear you love music, it shows through your playing and through your voix."

Lacy watched the man talk, he seemed so excited when she told him she composed her own music. He seemed genuinely excited about music. It was something new to Lacy, she had always been the only one to love music. It had always been something frowned upon by everyone else in her life. To find someone with shared enthusiasm was so ground breaking for Lacerta. Lacy smiled when he told her to play for him. “Ah, mais vous m'avez déjà entendu jouer, pourquoi maintenant?” Lacy replied.
She was tired, her voice felt spent, and honestly she wanted to be able to play her best for him. She wanted to trust him and his music and she wanted him to hear her at her best. Not when she was exhausted, a little dehydrated and had been living a little too rough than was good for her borderline frail body. Lacy nodded when the man claimed that when he found the right band members he would know. Lacy was amazed by this. The man seemed to have some sort of affinity for people? It was fantastic. Lacy blushed when the man claimed he had been captivated by her, she didn’t know what to say.
Thankfully, she was saved by the waiter coming over to take their orders. Lacy watched as Xayne ordered and the waiter turned to her. “The chocolate milkshake please,” She said in a small voice. The waiter carried on his way and Lacy turned her attention back to Xayne who was talking once more. He told her about what he wanted to do. What he saw in her. It was like he got it. He had picked the words right out of her brain. Her music was her soul. She let out everything she felt, believed, and loved in her music. And she was so grateful that that was tangible. “You get it.” Lacy said, some wonder in her voice. “You actually understand music.” She didn’t need to think any more about her decision, she had been slightly hesitant before, but now she knew she must. “I am in the band.”

"[/i]Pourquoi pas maintenant? Maintenant est aussi meilleur moment que tout, comme j'aime à le dire quand même.[/i]"[/b] Xayne said in perfect french in reply, glad their conversation was going in the direction which he had been hoping. He had the feeling at the woman before him was impressed, or at least content with the fact that Xayne seemed to know what he wanted for his band but that was just how he was. He had always known that he'd want a band, and he knew that he'd rely on his gut instinct to know who he wanted to play alongside him. It would do no good to hold auditions for people because that would only bring in people wanting fame. What Xayne wanted was the passion for music, the love for the pure brilliance of it which Lacerta seemed to share with him.
As Lacerta ordered and the waiter walked off, leaving the two alone at the table once more. He hoped that she understood what he was saying, what he was trying to get at. "I do, very much so," Xayne replied, almost sighing in relief when Lu seemed to understand what he was speaking of. He had known he had chosen right when he had approached the woman before him with his proposition, he had known that she was like him, one of the ceux doués.
With those three words Xayne grinned and let out a whoop of acomplishment, not even minding that they were inside a cafe at all, paying no mind to the patrons eyes on them. He was beyond thrilled, he had his first member in his band. He stood up, leaning across the small table as he kissed Lu on the lips briefly before he pulled away with another cheer. "Fantastique! génial! incroyable! Ah, je vous remercie la Vierge Marie et le seigneur ci-dessus!."

Lacy nodded. He wanted to hear her play again because he was that kind of guy. The kind that wanted things done there and then. That wasn’t a bad thing, in the music industry you really did have to be that way. But still, she was tired. She was dying for a drink and she was in desperate need of a good nights sleep and three square meals a day. Not that she would ever tell anyone that. She was surviving just fine on her own. She didn’t need anyone. She could survive on her own just fine. She and her music were doing just fine. She played and when she made money playing she got food and a roof over her head, that was fine. Xayne looked relieved when Lacerta acknowledged that he actually understood music. She was grateful that he did. That was when made her decide to join his band. Lacy jumped at his reaction, he wooped and cheered and was generally over excited. Laxy smiled. He was quite cute, young when he did that. He seemed less like the intimidating older man she had first perceived him as. But then when he leapt across the table and pressed his lips briefly against hers she couldn’t help but be a little shocked at his actions. But she had nothing to do but chose to ignore it as he danced and cheered and was generally happy about her decision thanking the Lord and mother above. “So how will this work?” Lacy asked the man before her. “I sort of… move around a lot.” She told him, not really wanting to tell him the full truth on how she lived. outfit
