Phoenix sat at the bar, the darkness of the room illuminated with the odd light which flickered up above the tables, the shadows cast across the patrons of the place only heightened the young hunters senses. He was more than aware of the many monsters around him; a vampire was sitting down off his left side, drinking a Bloody Mary -the drink said it all-, the hag was off in the far left corner of the room, he was pretty sure there was even a banshee there who seemed to have thankfully lost her voice. All in all Phoenix was surrounded by creatures he hunted for a living, yet he was more than comfortable to just sip his beer at the bar. The young male was looking for one creature in particular, he had heard rumors of them visiting the bar here and he was in need of information.
Taking another deep swig of his bottle he finished off the last drops of malty liquid, dropping down the bottle as he waved for the bartender to get him another which, he saw the younger male did. Picking up on the familiar scent, one which only wolves seemed to possess Phoenix shifted his gaze to where he could smell it, seeing a young woman. He decided he could definitely use her, she was after all a wolf and all the wolves in Europe all related back to the alpha of the pack, Rainer Greyback.
Standing up he walked over to where she was, his face split into his usual charming grin, his hazel eyes locked on hers. "Hey there little miss, mind if I buy you a drink?" Phoenix said with practiced ease.

Annette strutted down the streets of Diagon Alley, her light blue heels tapping against the pavement causing the few shoppers that were in the Alley to stop and stare, some even glared at the younger women. Annette smiled slightly anyways, loving the attention they gave her, even if it was just for the moment. Taking a deep breath Annette entered Knockturn Alley, the one place those shoppers wouldn't dare enter, the one place where Annette truly felt at home, well, except for when she went into the Mountains, but that was a completely different matter. Some had foolishly tried to save her from walking into such a place, saying that a girl like her shouldn't be mixing with those folk. Oh how foolish and naïve they were, thinking that Annette needed saving.
Pushing the door opened to the Gypsies Tavern Annette walked inside, her multi-colored eyes scanning the place for any immediate threat, as they always did. Ever since she was turned she never trusted anyone. The twenty-one year old only detected three immediate threats that she would have to worry about, the hag in the corner who might try to use Annette's veela blood to her advantage, although Annette highly doubted it would help her in the looks department, she would still be hideous. The vampire who was drinking a bloody-mary, his eyes on her the entire time. Annette looked at him with a bored expression a small smirk playing on her lip as she turned to walk towards the next threat, a man with whom she had never seen before, and those were always dangerous. However, Annette sat down next to him a smile on her face when he offered to buy her a drink.
'Well if your offering who am I to refuse?' Annette said with a wink, her eyes taking in the threat as the bartender went to get her, her usual drink. The man was well built with broad shoulders and light golden eyes that even Annette had to admit they were beautiful. Taking the drink Annette raised an eyebrow before taking a small sip. 'And people said chivalry was dead,'

Phoenix knew what this girl was yet there something else there, lure? She couldn't be a vampire, he'd pick on the red eyes if she were but she seemed to be fine. Veela then? Phoenix had to only assume so since all eyes were on the girl who had just entered the bar. So a veela wolf, how very rare of him to find, he'd have to gank her now since she wasn't only just one monster, but two. Phoenix couldn't pass up a chance as unbelievable as this, there was no way he wasn't going to go home without this girl on his arm, oblivious to the night ahead of her.
Seeing as he had successfully approached the girl before him without any troubles, he had been confident that he could speak to her and now that he was, Phoenix could tell that all eyes were on them as he ignored the piercing glares at his back. He let his gaze drift over her body from head to toe, appreciating the fact that she was definitely fit but he knew what she was which definitely was throwing him off his usual playboy ways. He however smirked as he looked her up and down again, he had to play the part of his character right now so as he lifted his gaze to the woman's again he just gave her a lop sided smirk.
"Well, how could I ever refuse when a gorgeous babe like you sits down beside a lonely guy," Phoenix said as he took a mouthful of beer, cradling the bottle between his palms. As he glanced back to the girl he turned slightly so he could look at her front on, leaning his arm against the bar top. "So why are you here so late at night? It isn't exactly a place most young girls would come out for a drink to." Phoenix questioned, making it sound as simple as trying to have a casual chat rather than him interrogating her, that was for later.

Annette, despite her best efforts felt a blush creep onto her cheeks when the man called her gorgeous. Sure, she heard it all the time but it was still nice to hear, she allowed a small smile to grace her lips and took a sip of her drink, mostly because she didn't know how to reply. She didn't trust this man, by any means, she didn't trust anyone, especially not strangers. Annette set the drink down on the coaster and grinned, 'I was in the neighborhood and decided to drop by,' Annette said with a playful wink before looking around the bar again, her eyes meeting with the vampires for only a second before she looked back at the man, feeling slightly uneasy with the vamp in the corner. She, like every other werewolf hated Vampires with a passion, if she wasn't busy with this man she'd would have probably lured the vamp outside before ripping off his head. But well, you do what you can with what your given, I suppose, she'd do it later.
'What about yourself? You don't look like you belong either,'

Phoenix felt the grin on his face grow as he could see the blush on the woman's cheeks, feeling accomplished. This girl was playing right into his games, it was going to be more than easy to get her to come home with him at this rate, she seemed to be more than enthralled by him and that was what he was aiming for. Phoenix needed her interest for her information, he would get her to spill all on her pack even if it was the last thing he did, Nix would get her to talk.
Phoenix just chuckled as she said she was just dropping in, the sound light but he was internally snickering at the irony of the whole situation. Flirting and conversing with his most hated enemy was seemingly easy right now, Phoenix was genuinely surprised that he hadn't snapped yet out of anger. Wolves would always be wolves after all, but Nix knew he'd have to play it smooth if he wanted to get this woman to open up to him, to get her drunk would be easy enough, getting her home would be easy, it'd just be the struggle that would ensure afterwards that would make for a hard go. Even if she was a female wolf she'd still physically be stronger than Phoenix if she put effort into it, so he'd have to be on his guard.
"Ah, well I wouldn't call myself a regular," Phoenix said with a carefree smile, adding internally, "only cause I come here cloaked usually, can't have my face being seen too often in here." Phoenix took another swig of his drink, having noticed her discomfort at the vampire. Obviously she'd be feeling on edge with him around, the rivalry and hate between vampires and wolves was not unknown, he just hoped that vamp wouldn't try to interfere with his plans.
Placing his arm around her shoulders he leant forward to whisper in her ear, his voice it's usual deep tone, "don't worry about him, vampires always creep people out. Don't fret though, I'll keep you safe." Probably the biggest lie he had told all year but that's fine, if it meant that she'd be trusting him he'd say a million sweet empty words to sate her desires.

'Then what would you call yourself?' Annette asked with a raised eyebrow, wondering why someone, whom she has never seen, would be in the pub in Knockturn Alley of all places. He wasn't a Death Eater, she would have sensed that a mile away, nor did he look like the regulars that Kendall would have. Everyone that comes here always have this look about them that sets them apart from everyone else, whether it be their walk, the eyes, the way they held themselves, this guy had none of that. It didn't add up to Annette who was watching him carefully. He was being far too nice, she didn't trust anyone who was nice, not that she trusted anyone to begin with.
'Who said I was worried?' Anne said with a raised eyebrow as she watched Kendall refill her drink. 'Besides, I think it is you who would need protecting, your blood would taste far better than mine,' Anne said with a wink and a smile. Looking back at her drinks he took another sip before starring at the man her eyes not trusting. 'Why are you being nice to me? No one's ever nice to me unless they want something,' Anne said with a pointed look. The statement was true, her mother was only nice to her when she wanted money to feed her drug addiction, her father and her sister...she didn't know where they were at nor did she care, men only wanted Anne for one thing, sex, she was nothing to anyone except easily disposable.

"I'd call myself just a man looking to have a drink and chat to a pretty lady, nothing more and nothing less," Phoenix said in reply as she seemed to be skeptical about him, seeing as she was obviously sizing him up, probably trying to figure out why a human male, even if he was a wizard was in the Gypsies Tavern of all bars, this place was known for being shady, a place for all dark creatures and criminals alike to gather without the fear of aurors or the Ministry trying to track them down.
Nix could only shrug as the girl said that she wasn't worried. "Well, you've got a lot more guts then me, I'd never cross a vampire if it was me, those guys creep the hell out of me," Phoenix lied with ease, truth be told vampires were the more...mellow of creatures to hunt, they weren't exactly all that violent and it was simple to kill them. Holy water, stake to the heart, easy."Oh, would it now? I must say, we A negatives definetly have some tasty blood," Phoenix joked back, although he cast a sidelong glance to the vampire seeing as he had picked up on their talking of blood. Creepy fucker.
"Can't a man be courteous and buy the lady sitting alone at the bar a drink?" Phoenix replied, "although I wouldn't ever turn down the situation if you were offering." Giving her a wink, he held out his hand, "I don't think I introduced myself earlier, but I'm Phoenix, Phoenix Ryker." Phoenix never gave out his real name, especially since she might have heard of his name as a hunter, since Phoenix Drayton was a well known male, his skills at hunting were rather notorious.

Annette smiled when he told her he had more guts then her, she seriously doubted it, her comment had nothing to do with bravery and more to do with the fact that she knew she could take the blood sucker down and do her nails at the same time. Next week was the full moon and Annette, like most wolves, grew stronger as the full moon came closer. If it were the week before she probably wouldn't have talked so high and mighty of saving him. 'Hmm I bet you do,' Annette said with a laugh enjoying the conversation much more than she thought she would have, most guys were a tad creepy towards her, or disgusted by her, this guy was neither, it was nice.
Annette looked at him weary not sure whether or not to trust him, like I said guys weren't just nice to her, ever. Anne decided to drop it and pushed the uneasy feeling aside, he was just a harmless guy keeping her company while she drinks, no need to think bad of everyone, Anne told herself. 'I suppose, sorry. It's just I'm a half-veela, so I'm not use to men being nice without wanting something,' Anne said feeling like she had to explain herself even if it was just a lie. Sure people and men weren't nice to her but that's because she didn't deserve their kindness, she used people, and she knew it. Anne then smiled at his next comment and took his hand. 'No you did not, nice to meet you Phoenix Ryker,' Anne said wondering where she heard the name Phoenix from but after a moment she pushed it aside. 'Annette Raider,'

Phoenix merely winked back in reply to the girl as she laughed, good. She was probably already letting her guard down, this would be ease now, in no time Nix would be getting information from her. All he needed to do was continue playing his role as the 'nice guy' who was buying her drinks and not full on flirting with her, more just subtle little gestures. Small things like that people notice subconsciously, it was a friendly thing such as facing her front on, leaning his body a certain way or saying something a certain way, all those things he had planned just so she would talk to him, that was the first step.
Now that she was actually talking to him had the second step in place, which would be to gain her trust, enough at least that he could complete the third and final step which was getting her to leave with him. Seeing how things were going, Phoenix was proud that he was holding out so well, especially with her...disease. He was hoping for when he could bring her back to his house, torture was always a specialty of his and he wasn't about to go ease just because she was a girl.
"Well, I'd say the same thing, minus the Veela charm of course, cause this face is just that handsome," Nix jokes, giving the girl a wide grin as he tried to lighten the mood...and shift the topic of her being a creature, that only made his hand itch for his gun which was hidden at the waistband of his pants. "Nice to meet you...Annette," Nix said, raising her hand to his lips as he pressed a soft closed lips kiss to the back of her hand, looking up to her with bright hazel eyes before he lowered her hand again, giving her a smile. "So, can I buy you another drink?"

Annette giggled when the man continued to speak, she couldn't help herself he was actually funny and could hold a conversation with her, something a lot of men failed to do as they found that her veela charm was too much to handle, she didn't even want to know how they would react to a full fledged veela. But then again Anne was quite the manipulator. 'Well I wouldn't say that, but your definitely not horrible to look at, So I suppose you have that going for you,' Annette said back and even made a show of checking him out as she finished her drink. She was joking of course, he was very easy on the eyes what his his gorgeous hazel eyes and had a handsome face to boot. 'But then again you do have that baby face, so maybe not,' Anne said with a serious look before she broke out into a grin and started to laugh. Then he did something that shocked her, he grabbed her hand and pressed his lips against it, something that she was unsure about.
Every thing in her body told her to run away, but her body wouldn't it just stayed rooted where she was at. 'Like wise Phoenix,' Anne said starring at him with a grin then he asked her if she wanted another drink and she merely blinked how much did she have? Anne cursed herself realizing that she was drunk and that was why she was acting so chummy with a stranger. 'No Thank you, I think I have exceeded my limit, and truth be told I normally don't drink this much,' She said ignoring the fact that her vision was slightly blurred. IT would be back to normal later, 'So tell me about yourself Phoenix, where are you from, you know the normal questions,'

Phoenix was good at what he did, lying came easy, faking the nice guy always was a breeze and flirting was down pat, his life was practically a lie anyway. His parents blamed him for his sister's death, even if they didn't say anything it was obvious in the way they looked at him, distanced themselves from him. He was the reason they had lost their baby girl of course they were going to blame him for it. Beckett though was a lot more vocal with his hate, Phoenix could barely meet his younger brother anymore without having cruel words be spat his way, cold eyes were all he was ever met with. Probably another reason to add to that trust issue he had with people, his own family didn't even want him anymore let alone a woman.
"Why thank you," Nix said with a smirk as she said that he wasn't that bad, that he knew already but still, he was glad that she was at least attracted to him, it only helped him with seducing her into his trap after all. As she made an obvious movement to check him out Nix just smirked and let her, why not let her take him in. He was proud of his physique and his looks, he'd always known that, he didn't need some girl to tell him that for him to realise it. Raising a brow though at the baby face part he just chuckled though shrugged nonchalantly. "Each to their own."
As Anette said that she was at her limit Phoenix hid his smile to himself, mentally preparing for his next steps. Perfect... he thought to himself, his plan was now in movement. "I'm just a local London kid, not much to say there, grew up with a white picket fence you know, the usual childhood. Went to Hogwarts, graduated a few years back and have been bumming around, haven't really found my passion in life yet so I'm still working towards that goal, finding meaning to my life." Phoenix lied through his teeth, it was his usual excuses to those who didn't recognise him, of course he had a goal in mind already though, revenge. "And you Annette? Interesting life?"

Annette looked at the man with a raised eyebrow something seemed off but she couldn't put her finger on what it was, was it his story, or was it in the way he was acting. This frustrated her as she could usually tell what someone was lying about within seconds, but she couldn't with this guy. She felt the red flags begin to go up but she ignored him, he seemed nice enough, but then again he was in Knockturn Alley, so he wasn't as nice as he seemed or he was just stupid, both of which made Anne weary as she sat there sipping on the water she ordered only moments before. She smiled again as he described his so called childhood, even if it was a fake story, which she assumed it was, it sounded lovely and she felt envious towards him. Her's...well it wasn't exactly the white picket fence type.
'My life story would only bore,' She lied with a small shrug. It was a lie of course, her childhood was an interesting one, however it causes many to look at her with either sympathy, or hatred because of what she is and what she does to her sister. But what she does to her sister is what she see's as justice, she deserves everything Anne throws her way. 'It's not exactly the white picket type to be honest,' Anne glanced at the clock and sighed.
'I should really get going, it was very nice to meet you Phoenix,' Annette said with a wink as she got up to leave, she nodded her head towards the bartender and began to walk towards the door.

Anette seemed to be wary of his story, he could see it even though she didn't speak it and truthfully it didn't worry him, there was no way she would or could prove him wrong, she didn't know anything about him so she couldn't just out him and call him a liar without the proof. "I doubt your life could be that boring, everyone has a story to tell," Nix replied with a smile. I need the information after all, anything that she might slip up on could prove to be useful for sure...anything to get to that damn wolf... Nix thought to himself, he was only in this for Rainer Greyback after all, he was his ultimatum, his nemesis, and his revenge.
As Annette seemed to make a hasty exit Phoenix just smiled as she exited quickly, he wasn't about to let her go that easily, she was his prey and he was the hunter, prey does not simply escape easily from Phoenix Drayton. Shifting through his back pocket Nix pulled out a few galleons and put them on the counter to pay for his and Annette's drinks which he had bought for her, pretending to tip his invisible hat to the bartender who only just stared back before he stood up and made his way to the exit.
Once he was sure Annette had exited Nix stalked behind her with ease, precision which only came with years of training, silent and undetectable through the mist which seemed to settle in the streets of Knockturn Alley at this late hour. Seeing his prey walk along Nix spotted an alley ahead of her and moving forward he wrapped his hand around her mouth before dragging her backwards into the shadowed alley, the smile on his lips reflecting the deranged glee he was currently feeling inside, he had a wolf in his arms which he held tightly against his chest, his free hand pulling out a silver knife from the holster under his shirt, pressing it up against her neck. "Now now Annette, don't struggle too much or I'm afraid my knife might just slip and cut you..."

Annette opened the door the cold November breeze hitting her face making her wince slightly, she has always hated the cold, which was one of the main reasons she didn't join Rainer and his pack in the woods, she'd be far too uncomfortable, plus she wasn't an animal...on certain days, why should she live like one? Annette smiled to herself as she walked down the street of Knockturn Alley, not bothering to apparate out she never liked the feeling it gave her.
Annette then heard other footsteps, something that she would have missed if it wasn't for the fact that her heels made a different noise than the persons shoe, and their scent. 'You know it's not polite to sneak up on a lady,' Annette said with a small smile before turning around to see Phoenix Ryker standing before her, his easy going attitude was gone. Anne was about to say something along the lines of 'are you okay' but didn't get the chance for her mouth was covered and she was now being shoved into an Alley far from view, not that it mattered, no one here was noble enough to save her. Anne frowned as she began to piece everything together, and mentally kicked herself, he wasn't Phoenix Ryker, rather he was Phoenix Drayton, the famous hunter of all things considered not normal. She must be a treat considering the fact that she was part Veela and full on Werewolf. But Anne didn't want to die, she needed to play this smart, and to do that, she needed to act like she didn't know.
Annette raised an innocent eyebrow and smiled,'Is this the only way you can catch a woman? Because let me be the first to tell you that you need to find a new tacit,' Anne said in a flirty way, playing the innocent card before she tried the kick his arse one. I Can't Remember If Werewolves Can Use Magic :/ And sorry that it took so long.

Phoenix could see her confusion as he stood before her, his face cold and hard. He was a hunter, this was his element and it seemed to only be now that Annette was realising what was actually happening, and who he was. It seemed to dawn on her as her face showed her epiphany, although she soon seemed to hide it as she looked up at him with innocent eyes. Like he was going to fall for that, he was more than aware of her act now, not since she was so vulnerable to him earlier that night, their chat in the bar had given him all he needed to know about her. She was guarded, hesitant but still shy, she had reacted well to his advances after all.
"This tactic always works," Phoenix replied simply as he pressed the knife up against her neck, hard enough to draw blood. Pushing her away from him, into the wall he cornered her from escaping, his silver knife pressed up against her cheek now, the smile on his face predatory. "And I'd never want a filthy whore like you, a beast who can't even control their own urges will never be more than a monster needing to be killed. God you wolves make me sick to my stomach." Phoenix said with distaste, all the anger and disgust he had felt for her now showing through.
"I would kill you right here and now if I didn't have use for you, but I do," Nix said, dragging his knife along her cheek, the tip of it cutting lighting, pulling it down her neck to the mark he had made earlier, pressing the silver into the cut, knowing that it would begin to burn for her, silver was after all one way to kill a werewolf, and the contact of silver with her insides would certainly cause the wolf before him immense pain. "So be a good girl and come along quietly, or I might just have to cut deeper."
OOC: All good and yes, they can use magic as long as they were taught it, like Rainer can use magic because he was taught as a child as he was originally a wizard, but he never attended Hogwarts.
